Why do I have to be in private browsing just to sign in Google?

I'm not that paranoid! I'm at home on my own computer! It is very annoying to have to constantly re-enter common username and passwords to websites. Gmail, Facebook, Ect. I would like to stay logged in Google but when I try to do so, I get this garbage!

  • 5 Firefox private browsing mode changes the google search page. Is this normal?

Since upgrading to Firefox 5, I've noticed that when I switch to private browsing mode and go to Google, the menu at the top has a black background. I don't mind that it's a nice reminder that you're in private mode. I was wondering if this is normal?

  • Why is it "Private browsing" not indicated when automatically start navigation of privacy at the start of Firefox?

I was wondering why "Private browsing" is indicated only when it is turned on for a

forgot that I am in private browsing mode, so the things I want to keep (i.e.
