  It is possible that you have made some changes in the interface that deleted bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar. Go in view > tools > customize... > Restore Default Set and everything should be back to normal. By this, I mean that your interface will return to its default configurations. You can reconfigure (in the same window) to your liking, after that.

  Otherwise, you should be able to drag the corresponding item in the window in the bookmarks toolbar, but it is perhaps more difficult to accomplish if you are not experienced enough.

I called tech support and they helped me in the question of fixing from the option menu file - rendered video - general - project settings and playback - selecting mercury playback engine software only option.
