Why does take 15 minutes to warm up before movies Apple TV ib?

After that I turned on my Apple TV, it takes 15 minutes to warm up.  What can I do to make it more responsive?

You set the ATV to sleep or disconnect power?  My ATV will load quickly sleep (less), but like all devices of type, it takes time to load the operating system if it is turned off. Maybe a minute?  I don't know faster that the Vizio TV is connected to my ATV charges...

What version of ATV do you have? Have you tried a restore?

I hope that by "striking" means you actually "Uninstall", as simply delete the files/folders of programs can cause all sorts of issues. You should take a look at your startup programs and decide what is really necessary and what is nothing more than useless clutter. There is nothing wrong with the startup programs, some may be really useful or even necessary for your personal needs. But keep in mind that many programs build to start when you start the computer and that most of them must not start when the computer starts, all they do is slow down your boot time and clutter of things when you're trying to solve problems, and some are downright harmful!

I mean, have you really need things like real Planner and Gadwin Print Screen running all the time? These programs will run very well, even if they are not started automatically every time that you start the computer. Go to these programs and change/disable their boot option. Some may be difficult to kill for public assistance services can be useful when you try to control startup programs. Try CodeStuff Starter, it's safe and easy to use, I think you'll like it, download it here:

    http://CodeStuff.tripod.com/products_starter.html>

Use AutoRuns to check axis start, Richard:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx>

    Use Cclenar-> tools-> start

    http://www.CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx>

I can't tell you what to keep, startup items it is a personal preference, but pretty well all the startup items indicated by CodeStuff Starter are safe to disable, and changes are easy to reverse if you change your mind. Searches for items it shows you and decide whether or not these things are really useful or necessary. Some programs will be started at startup without your knowledge and over time, that list can expand to include useless parasites, part of good computer maintenance includes regular control of these startup items and the removal of the unnecessary.

Suggest that you first spread malware as the cause of the problem by following these steps:

    I. - delete your temporary files

Clean the system (compensation to all temp/tmp folders and included all the content offline, the tif browser, delete the cookies of compensation.)

Do a disk cleanup. Click the Start button. in the search box, type disk cleanupand then in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup. Better and easier to use - ccleaner.

Download the basic version (slim) via

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner/builds>

The basic version (slim) does not contain the toolbar disgusted

DO NOT USE ANY cleaning of the advanced options. DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY OR TOOLS. At least not for now.

    Reset

II. - have your system scanned as a result of security/antivirus installed.

III. - download, install, update and run both of these tools to a-squared free scans:

  • Why does take so long for my network connections start?

My parents are on XP and have for years, it has had about 17 minutes for network connections to start when we turn on the computer - the wireless icon does not appear in the status bar before that date.

We cannot open up IE or Firefox, until connections have loaded.

I tried to disable all non-essential services and progs from startup in msconfig, no effect.

I used a fixed register program to correct the mistakes of reg. Also did chkdsk.

I uninstalled a ton of unused programs that might have hidden services (e.g. HP!).

Have installed and run internet security package again.

Interestingly, if I boot mode safe mode with networking, the icons don't still seems immediately (although I did; t wait 17 minutes!), but I can't use firefox to access the internet.

This is driving me crazy! Can anyone help?

    Hi rmw3,

    ·         Did you also check if disable the antivirus software does the same thing?

Check if you have tried the following.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer program and check if the problem persists.

Note:  Check that you activate your anti-virus protection on the computer back after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

  • Why does take 2 or 3 minutes to access a url of a hyperlink in a pdf document?

With Adobe Reader locally or the plug-in on a Web site, it takes a lot of time for a url called by a hyperlink in a pdf document will appear in a browser window. Can anyone explain why this is happening and, hopefully, how to fix?

I tried as simply as on Windows XP with Adobe Reader 11.0.10 and Firefox 36.0 - the link opens instantly.

Try if disable Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Enhanced) protection] solves the problem.

P.S., Drive 11.0.10 is not officially compatible with Windows XP, but it actually works very well.

  • Why does take so long to clear the Firefox cache in Firefox 22?

When I clear the cache, now it takes about 30 seconds. My Mac crashes after clicking "Clean now", and sometimes Firefox will crash.

If Firefox detects that it crashed, it invalidates the cache and does not use its content. If you clear the cache after an accident also causes an accident - at a time when the cache is very rarely used - files may be damaged. Please see message of cor - el to the subject to physically delete files.

  • Why does take so long to clear a task (with the DMA transfer) using the PXI bus?

I am migrating from a system that has the habit of using a PCI-6133 (8 channels HAVE simultaneous) and PCI-6733 (8 channels AO) to one that uses a PXI-6133 and PXI-6733 mounted in a PXI-1033 chassis.

In general, things seem to be working (synchronized I / AO to run near the maximum speed on both devices), with the exception that the compensation an AO task on the PXI-6733 takes always (the order of 20-30 seconds).

Even when I try the generation of the sine wave for the PXI-6733 in MAX test Panel, it takes the same amount of time to stop the task. If I switch to the use of interrupts as transfer mechanism, it stops immediately.

I tried to use the transfer mechanism of interruption on my more demanding set of synchronized tasks, but that does not produce good behavior (even if he doesn't give any errors).

Is there a trick (or the best diagnosis) to help get my tasks working with DMA under PXI that worked very well on PCI?

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Patrick. I tried on another computer (Dell T5400) and everything worked as expected. I think that the problems I have experienced on the first computer were due to a conflict with a PXI driver for another card I have not installed during my tests (and which I did not know was PXI, but he appeared as a PXI device in M & A once I put it in it should have a kind of PCI - PXI bridge internal?). So ultimately, pure card / slot / pilot shenanigans and everything seems to be fine now.

  • Why does take so long for disk cleaner to calculate

am running windows xp;  the calculation window is there forever;  I do not know how to solve this problem and don't even know if it is broken.

If you mean the XP 'Disk cleanup' seems to weigh and take forever, I offer these tips:

When you run Disk Cleanup, it calculates how much space you could save on your HARD drive if you want to compress files "old." No one seems to have a good answer for what XP thinks is an old file... and with technology modern it isn't going to be a lot of improvement of your disk space and in fact, your system may operate more slowly, because it can need unzip these files when they are needed later.

It is simply not a good idea to let XP compress your files 'old' (any old way seems to be not specified).

If you have 1 million files on the volume XP thinking maybe brought to compress and it will check all, it might take a while to understand this and your system may appear to stop responding.

Sometimes users interpret this as a problem with their system (and stop or restart), but Windows is just doing what you said to do.

It can also can really be hung since MS also tells you how to stop this check for compression of files in an article in the knowledge base (perhaps they don't like it no more).

If you have no interest to compress old files or it is just too long, you can skip this calculation quite disk cleanup (a good idea).

You're going to be cleaning up your system in no time when this check for files that may need compression is removed.

  • Checking for updates... Why does take so long?

Windows8... on the PIN screen, message says to check windows update and install new updates waiting. 1st thing just 'check updates' and continues for at least 3 hours now. Why so long? It is configured to allow automatic updates. Once a month? I would like to install updates, but it is always checked.

He certainly shouldn't take long.  I reboot and try again, maybe the background process only got stuck.

If this continues, there is a built-in diagnostics that can probably get squared away.  Here's how to make it work:

    1. On your start screen, tap the word "Troubleshooting" and when you see appear, choose Troubleshooting search result in the list.
    2. In the list that appears, under the section "System and security", you will see a link to find and fix problems with Windows Update with Windows Update troubleshooting tool.

Please let me know how it goes. If all goes well, just a reboot gets fixed or automatic troubleshooting utility.

So far, it took only a single click to open an email in the Inbox and now it takes 2 clicks. How to return to a single click? Y at - it a setting or an option for this?

The standard has always been a click to view the message in the messages pane and two clicks to open a message in a window or tab.

If you do not have the set message pane, press F8.
