  Double-click no longer works.

  I tried the suggestions from the user to slow the speed of the pursuit.

  I have logged in safe mode and noticed when I am in guest mode, double click works, but not in my user account.

  Where should I go from here? It seems apparent to something in my settings of the user.

  I have a really strange and weird problem!

  My brother-in-law put me back is equipped with all the malware as possible you can imagine... Virus, Trojan, Adware, Rootkit horse... etc.

  A collection of all the wicked thing you can collect on the web today!

  I clean everything with the help of several antivirus and UBCD4win, reinstall a new and up-to-date antivirus and a firewall and everything seems to be clean now after 2 days of work

  I have just one strange thing. When I double-click on any shortcut for the program on the desktop, it starts more software!

  Same thing on the menu!

  But if I double-click 'My Computer' or another icon of system on the desktop, it works as expected!

  On the shortcut for the program, if I did a right click and select it 'open' it works

  I checked the option mouse, everything seems ok, I tried to create a new user on the machine, but it works the same way!

  Something strange also and can be connected, when I press "Windows key + E" to launch the Explorer, it works or...

  The simplest solution would be to re - install windows XP, but I really prefer to avoid

  Does anyone have a suggestion/idea (good)?

  I solve my problem by going back to the old system restore point!

  I had to reinstall/uninstall an application, but now double click works well

  I have a PC running windows vista. Recently, the desktop icons when double clicked do not work, a message appears telling me that the program was not found and to go to the association Control Panel to fix this value.

  I'm now PC expert so would appreciate any advice in simple terms.

  It happens with all the desktop icons, or only some?  If only some, what are their types of files (extensions - the identifier to three digits after the point in the name of the file)?

  Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates. Then see if you can open your desktop icons.

  There may be something wrong with some extensions (such as .exe files and the .lnk files).  Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and run the process for the .exe and the .lnk file types. ;  See if you can open your desktop icons.

  If this does not work, your user profile may be damaged.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If that is the only available Administrator Profile (you need to be an administrator to fix this), enable the Hidden Administrator Account (HAA) using http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?&lang=en&cr=US&guid=&sloc=en-us&dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords&p=1&tid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055&mid=d20f9db4-7b2c-48be-a087-7835dc2a9055.  If you don't remember the password, try nothing because that's probably what you (or seller) did during the installation.  Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.  Then see if you can open your desktop icons.

  If you still have problems, after return and we will try other troubleshooting options.

  This could be due to your double-click speed, look on your control panel and go to the mouse. There will be a tab for with double click on set your speed to what you want and test on it fake file.

  When I double click on a folder, a search window opens automatically instead of the usual view of Windows Explorer that displays the contents of the folder.  I must in order to display the contents of the folder, right click and select open, then I can see the contents of the folder.  What setting do I change to stop the search engine to open and have the regular Windows Explorer mode appear?  Oh, when I right click in the folder, the search option is bold, but the open option is regular.

  A URL of file like this work when typed/pasted into the address bar of FireFox, however, if it is a link in a Web page, it will be inadmissible. If something like this happens to be a link in an e-mail in an e-mail program, wherever e-mail program is set to open links in default browser (and it's Firefox), then Firefox will open a window/tab with the following URL:

  file:///Folder1/Folder2/file.jpg

  Where the directory with the '-' and all directories parent the preceding are deleted.

  The example above is actually a link to network file, but I've noticed the same if the dashboard is in the folder name or sub of a network file link.

  You should probably see a security warning in the tools > error Console because Firefox doesn't allow webpages to access local files.

• Jet 7: Stream 7 Double click does not work in the program

  I just bought a 7 run 8.1 flow win specifically for Ham Radio software that decodes the digital signals of my radio. The program that I am running is WSJT ver 1.5.

  The question I have is that double tap/double click in this software seems to be disabled. I tried to change the compatibility of the program to Win XP, Win 7, etc, but it makes no difference. I've updated the drivers, once again no difference.

  The software works fine on Win 8 and 10 to win on two laptops that I have access to

  I have someone has any ideas I can try, I'd be very grateful.

  Touch screen double click the work fine in Windows?  I have 10 Windows installed on my Stream 7, if I click once on the Recycle Bin on my desktop it highlights it.  If I double-click on it, it opens. There is the double click speed setting in the mouse settings also where you can test.  If it works with Windows, but not this software, you can check with the Publisher of the software?

  After a session with Firefox, I close out that later if I want to start a new session, Firefox does not open. I have to re - install the download. This happens several times a day.

  Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
     • Windows:
       • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
       • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
     • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
     • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
     1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
     2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

• One of the 3 links on a web page works not under Firefox 9.0.1 but all three work under IE.

  Please float your mouse over the Paypal button (in the lower left) and on the envelope button and the arrow will change to a pointing finger. It float above the adjacent Blog button and the arrow is an arrow. With Internet Explorer, all three buttons links work - but not with Firefox 9.0.1. Why is this?

  I have no idea why this works in Internet Explorer. The div with id "txt_582" is painted on top of the imagemap for the button "Blog". So this div block mouse clicks. Reduction of the height of this div may fix the problem.

  Hi for the purchase of this laptop I had some problems with the touchpad - I installed driver newest says he works correctly but it is not.

  I can't use the right click button, and sometimes even the left one does not - it double-click on the button itself but the money buttons at the bottom of the touch pad seem to don't want do not work and sometimes you need the right click in the task you are undertaking.
