Why Firefox does not play background sound in Web pages?

I have added a background music file to my website using FrontPage 2000. The audio will play in the "Overview" tab but won't play in the Firefox browser window. "< bgsound src ="http://www.Your-Daily-Income.com/TVS/Audio/waves.mp3"loop ="-1">"
When I discovered the source of the page (http://screencast.com/t/w0p7Z2iLvMi0)and click on the hyperlink "bgsound src" file, I get this: (http://screencast.com/t/D49tu8NsKPH)
Any help is appreciated.

BGSOUND is not compatible with other browsers like Firefox and only works on IE.

You must use other means as an embed or object for older browsers or audio tags for recent browsers.

If you use the type = "application/x-mplayer2" Windows Media Player will be used to read the file.
Without a specific type of the QuickTime plugin attribute will be used under Windows.

<object data="http://www.your-daily-income.com/TVS/Audio/waves.mp3" type="application/x-mplayer2" >
<audio src="http://www.your-daily-income.com/TVS/Audio/waves.mp3" controls>

  • Why firefox does not allow users to configure to play other types of media in the browser via its plugins?

Firefox has a plugin that allows you to play. Stream AVI files in the browser.
There are of course more types of file stream only. AVI that vlc media player (a very popular program) can play.
Why doesn't firefox allow these types of streams, that is to say - FLV to play using the browser firefox via the plugin?
Firefox does not even allow users to manually set this behavior.
I think it's ridiculous to have the potential to be a great another browser, but not yet the chance to compete because of this inconceivable gap.

  • Firefox does not play HTML5 audio

My Firefox installation (v33) does not play HTML5 audio.
I am referring to audio tracks (MP3) you can listen to on your personal Google Reader. The stream does not start, there is no time of the track being filled.

-Youtube HTML5 player works great both for Audio and video
-J' tried Incognito mode (without cache and cookies)
-Tried restarting without Add - ons (I use Adblock and other stuff)
    -Tried to restore Firefox.

    None of these permits.

-V38 IE11 and Chrome, the browser listen very well
-A clean Firefox (on my virtual machine, for example) very well disseminate

    Any tips?

  • Why Firefox does not delete cookies by leaving to open tabs?

Firefox does not delete cookies for the tabs that are left open when you quit the browser even with empty cookie options set. Cookies are only eligible for the tabs that are closed before leaving the browser. I do not understand how this could possibly be a design decision because it completely defeats the purpose of the privacy settings.

Under Options > Privacy I enabled/selected, the following options.

    • Accept cookies (no "Exceptions... »)
    • Continue until the "closing of Firefox".
    • Clear history of Firefox closing
    • * Download history
    • * Cookies
    • * Active Logins
    • * Cache
    • * Data from the Web site offline

These cookies are stored in session data.

You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref 2 (never) or 1 (no HTTPS, default in the Firefox 3 versions) on the topic: config page to disable the registration of cookies via session restore.

  • Why Firefox does not work with Hotmail more?

Hotmail opens but I can't click on anything whatsoever, can not open e-mails or open folders.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

If Safe Mode did not help, delete all references to Hotmail, as described under the heading "How to remove a single website to my story?" in this article - delete navigation, search and download history on Firefox, then try again the site (not related to an old favorite). Note: It may take a few minutes to complete the removal.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem. Thank you!

  • Firefox does not open a new, secure login page, on the site of my Bank

Site Web of my Bank opens a new, secure, log in page from a link on its home page. When I click on this link to do, nothing happens. No window opens and Firefox does not all messages as to why. He used to work, but stopped in the past two months. I don't know if it something in my settings or not. I also use the Flock browser - which is based on Mozilla code and the link works in this browser. Settings in both browsers seem to be the same.

It uses javascript to open the window. Try hitting control + F5 - that recharges all of the scripts in case one is corrupt in the cache.

If so try to disable them.

  • Why Firefox does not lag when scrolling through some websites?

I tested my current profile with all my addons activated and compared it to a whole new addon-free profile. Own profile showed no difference in my current profile; the shift happens on the profile to both clean and current. Disabling scrolling without jolts and hardware acceleration allows nothing. This same site, chrome and Opera both show zero lag, the functions of the site perfectly.
I use Linux as an operating system, but during startup in Windows FF, the lag is there too. IE scroll normally on this site too.

Here is a page where the offset of scrolling happens. LAG happens during the major part of sites Yahoo, if I'm not mistaken.

My hardware is not the issue, because I have this:
    Intel Core i3

You can add this code into the userContent.css file.

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

    @-moz-document domain(hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com) {

  • Why Firefox does not scroll the page when choosing &amp; the cursor reaches the bottom of the screen

The selection of text on a page of the screen when the cursor reaches the lower edge of the screen in Firefox (version 9.0.1) does not scroll. Other programs (including IE) do, so it doesn't seem to be a local computer problem.
I don't see a setting in the page options that enables / disables this then what is the solution?

Activate the module bar (Firefox > Options or view > toolbars;) CTRL + /) or find bar to make Firefox scroll the page while selecting the text (Ctrl + F).

  • Why background png header does not load, traveled earlier shows web page instead. Why?

Verification on a site I built two years ago, I noticed that the png header does not load. Instead, I can see the last web page that I was reviewing, as if the header area is an invisible window. Site is OK in Safari, and OK on another Mac, just not mine.

Seems to be well here on Linux.

I saw the problems reported on Mac with (background) images in black (#000000) causing problems.

The color change in the image of something less black as #111111 seems to work.
