Why firefox does'nt 31.0 support Norton Safe Search?

Norton, worked in the previous version of firefox.

Note that this is only a problem with components that Norton provides for specific browsers and should not affect the normal security protection functions of your Norton software, so you are always protected.

    Firefox does not delete cookies for the tabs that are left open when you quit the browser even with empty cookie options set. Cookies are only eligible for the tabs that are closed before leaving the browser. I do not understand how this could possibly be a design decision because it completely defeats the purpose of the privacy settings.

    Under Options > Privacy I enabled/selected, the following options.

    These cookies are stored in session data.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Double-click it and change its value to true (a restart of the browser may be needed later for the change to take effect).

    I designed for that when you rollover the links that they change to light blue and I have an effect on the thumbnails in the portfolio section so that when you mouse over or click it fades in and out.

    In Safari, it works perfectly.

    In Firefox, it only works when you click on can the bearings on the document and then won't work and miniature. Why is this? How do I get these two effects / settings work in both browsers... is where I need to add coding? I don't know a lot of code, so if someone could breakdown the steps in a few simple steps I would really appreciate it!
