Why Firefox keep resetting my homepage to Google? I DON'T LIKE TO HAVE TO ADDRESS WHY EACH TIME I PULL UP OF FIREFOX
I don't want Google as my home page, or use it as my default search engine. WHY IS that Firefox is constantly reset my homepage to Google? I hope no more Google, so I DON'T want TO HAVE IT as MY HOMEPAGE. It's really pissing me off to have to return my homepage almost everytime I open Firefox. In addition, I have my anti-spyware configured to block any attempt to change my homepage, and I see the warning popping up almost every 20 minutes. This is NOT acceptable and begins to make me question YOUR credibility if you put in your service to the things that are reached that the user very clearly and in a targeted manner wants.
I've been a user of Mozilla for something like 18 years. This latest version is the FIRST TIME that I felt like your service is less above board. Fix it, or I'll find something else. I won't be using a product that ignores my intended way of use. I only give you the way to lea to solve this problem, because you have (at least appeared) reliable up to this point. My patience is not long in this respect.
I'm sorry that you are having this problem. I can assure you that we will be using the homepage of your choice, and w are not even in partnership with google, because it is not something that Mozilla did it on purpose (that we will always respect your choice to the user)
I would try the following:
- Sometimes, this can result in a corrupted Firefox profile. Try the procedure described in How to set preferences that will not save and let me know if it works.
- If this fails, try an update of Firefox, Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules
- Finally, this can be caused by malware. Try looking for malware with scanners to troubleshoot Firefox problems caused by malicious software

IP address changes each time the router loses power or is reset (Photosmart C7280 printer)
I have a Photosmart C7280 printer wireless on my home network via a Belkin F6D4230-4 v1 router. Whenever there is a power failure or the router is reset, a different IP address (in the range of 192.168.2.2 and 192.168.2.9) is assigned to the printer when the router comes back online. This action requires each computer on the network (in total up to 9 computers) reinstall the driver and reset all the preferences print on each individual computer. How can I assign a static IP address to the printer recognize the router dealing whenever it resets and not to assign a different address whenever the power goes off (too often in my area)?
I hope I've provided enough information here. If more information is needed for a good solution, answer and I can probably more information.
Thank you
John

I always use Google as my home page and custom background with one of my own photos. Since I installed the latest update of Firefox my homepage to Google watch my picture for a brief second and then merely white. I changed it several times in my photo, but it will not stick. It looks like others using Google as their home page have the same problem, but nobody got fixed I can see about using Google positions. Someone related to the problem of Firefox.
You can post the details on how fixed and that caused it?

Firefox 5.01 does not allow me to reset my homepage in the Prefs - why?
I can't put my Home Page in the Firefox preferences panel. I open the tabs, I want to be my home pages, then press on "use current Pages" Yes, it's default to a few pages at random (about 5 of them), I had opened the day, I installed upgrading. Reboot does not work, or didn't take manual of information (url) for a single tab. It is just default to 5 random tabs.
See the following for a few suggestions:

As noted, google it and saw that it is supposed to work if you disable extensions to see if you have a problem (he was not) and use the default theme, it is supposed to make them disappear. Even ran in 'safe mode '. Yet, EACH TIME it loads the add-on Manager. Should I re - download?
Do NOT reinstall Firefox. Think it fixes the problems, but it isn't really.
Try to restore Firefox to the factory settings. Discover how to reset here: -
How can I reset my homepage until FireFox opens the homepage?
A spam/malware site got itself logged as one of my home pages, and I want to give my pages to a default value. The ordinary mode to do it is to use the Tools menu, but you must leave homepages opened prior to doing it this way. I don't want this site to open again. It appears very suspects windows when it opens. How can I reset my homepage to Firefox externally?
My suggestion would be to send you a link to the home page you want to set as the default value. Click on the link and Firefox will open directly at this link, bypassing your current homepage.
You should then be able to go into tools and change the default home page. I would recommend that you run a malware program to find the cookie or a program that landed itself on your system. Ad-aware is an excellent program to use and is quite comprehensive.

Apple tv 4G - no charge aps and keeps resetting
HI - I've just set up my new apple 4G on my existing apple account and I am surprised to see that there is no aps loaded on the main screen as it is with my 3G (e.g. ESPN, netflix, NHL, HBO, etc.). There is only standard he films/TV/Aps/photos/itunes bar and below this research alone, computers and settings. Anyone know how to get this laoded up?
In addition, the screen keeps resetting back (expel) to the main screen when I go in the options. Not sure if thisnis associated with the foregoing.
Any help much appreciated.
Hello. There should be an app store on the home screen. You can use it to download applications for the services you want to use. It's a little awkward at first, but this means that the applications are easily updated and new ones can be added without updating the whole system. The whole system is very similar to an iPad or iPhone now.
Going back to the home screen, the remote Menu button actually works as a button 'back', and you can save on an application on the home screen. There's a line here https://help.apple.com/appletv/ user guide, and you can also download in iBooks.

Hello, this is a google Executive that you can change to google.com/preferences.

No matter what I type in the awesome bar, it just redirects to the homepage of Google.
If I type a web address in the awesome bar, I. But if I type a search term, the text changes to http://www.google.com/webhp and I get redirected to the Google page home each time.
There is a beginning of change in Firefox 4 in the search by location bar works.
- In Firefox 3.6.x, location search bar use Google search "search by name". With innovation by the name search, it will search on Google and
- If there is a clear match he will take you on the site
- otherwise, it shows the page of Google search results
- By default Firefox 4 is
- to perform a Google search and present the Google search results page If you type something that is not recognized as a URL
- You must type a full URL, such as www.youtube.com , to go directly to the site
To get the behavior of Firefox 3.6.x in Firefox 4. you need to change a hidden preference OR install the module below.
To change preferences:
- Type of topic: config in the address bar and press the Enter key
- If you see a cautionary, accept it (promise to be careful)
- Opens a list of preferences
- Filter = keyword. URL
- In the lower pane, double-click that preference
- A small window will appear; copy one of the addresses below and paste it into the box in this window (or type it in the box in this window exactly as shown below):
- "I'm Feeling Lucky" Google: http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky & ie = UTF - 8 & oe = UTF - 8 & q =
- Google "Browse by name": http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & sourceid = navclient & gfns = 1 & q =
Instead of the above, you may install this extension:
- The module Search by name : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/browse-by-name
