Why firefox site tells me that my java is updated when there has recently been an update April 27 version 1.7.0_04?

do not have problems with the current version of the Java plugin 1.6.0_31 when I updated above version on your website?

Java is 7 is for the moment mainly intended for developers & oracle recommended version 6 update 31 for end users, see http://java.com/en/download/faq/java7.xml

  • Why Firefox always tell me that it blocks Java Deployment Toolkit after that I did the update?

On the page Web 'Mozilla - check your Plugins', I was told that the 'Java Deployment Toolkit' was vulnerable. So I did the update. But then, I got the same problem still. Why? And should I care?

    Please see the attached screenshot.

The most funny thing is... I visited two sites that use Java, being Java.com, but I haven't seen the black banner of the blocking message.

The Java Deployment Toolkit can be the most recent version, but Oracle has not yet fixed the vulnerabilities with this plugin; so Mozilla still there on the red list and point require the user to use "Request enable" to deactivate it. A 'soft-block' - can be used if needed, but needs user by implementing action.

More specifically, do you have a program on your PC that is really needed as Deployment Toolkit?
Or is your concern that simply that it is disabled after update of Java?

Very few applications consumer even uses this Deployment Toolkit, aimed at people who develop Java applications or applications such as the various Oracle programs in the workplace.

Back to before Oracle acquired Sun Java systems in 2010, this Deployment Toolkit has not been installed with the runtime environment Java for users. Java developers needed to install a separate developers Toolbox for this Plugin - had the SDK program.

  • Why Firefox always tells me that Adobe plug-ins must be updated, when I've just updated beyond the versions them says Firefox update?

On the status of the plug-in page, Firefox said I have potentially vulnerable Adobe Flash player c. 19.0.0.185 and should be updated. I have already taken this opinion but Adobe confirms that my version is 19.0.0.226. I ran the update at least twice (and of course I restarted Firefox several times and refreshed the page for good measure). Why Firefox think I always c. 19.0.0.185?

Essentially the same story with Adobe Reader plug-in 15.9.20069.28170. Firefox said I have this outdated version and should be updated. I ran the update at least twice (but unlike with Flash Player I don't know how to confirm that the update is installed). The version that Firefox says I have and advice to update, has not changed.

I've updated two plug-ins yesterday. Immediately after the update, when I refreshed the page status of the plugin, these plug-ins have disappeared from lists "vulnerable" or "outdated". It's only the Adobe Flash Player and Reader plug-in updates (which I did yesterday) that Firefox seems to blind. I waited a day to see if Firefox would recognize the edits today, but it still does not work. On this page of presentation of the question, "Assumptions" of Firefox on my current browser list older versions of Adobe Flash Player and Reader that I've already updated since.

Plugins are installed on the system and not in Firefox. So he can tell you were the same when you installed know that it is usually because you have two system installed an older version of Flash Player.

Maybe try to uninstall all versions of Flash Player (basic plugin) and install the current https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (basic plugin), while Firefox is closed.

  • Why Firefox continues to assert that the Java Deployment Toolkit is known to be vulnerable.

The original issue with Java has been corrected but FF continues to assert the same caveat that must be confusing at least and a road block for others at worst?
    There is a thread
    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=636633
who "speaks" it and the Anthony Hughes, Mentor of QA person (: ashughes)
said that the question should be posted here (don't know why he wouldn't do himself, seems very little helpful as a "Mentor").

So, I write a question, which is actually a request that the Devs remove this warning.
It has nothing to do with my OS and is not need me to allow you to install something to collect information, simply install Java and check the Plugins...

  • Why the first Firefox page tell me that I do not use the latest version when the "about" in the menu help says I?

I updated Firefox 2 days after seeing the message that I was not using the latest version. Download and install led and everything seems to work normally except that I still have a message on my Firefox home page telling me that I'm not using the latest version. If, on the other hand, I navigate to 'Firefox' - 'help' - "On Firefox" I tells me that I'm running Firefox 8.0.1 and "Firefox is updated.

You can see this message under the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old default Firefox homepage. It seems that this page is no longer maintained. You seem to have Firefox installed with the latest version 8.0.1.

If you want to than the Google search page as homepage, change your homepage to Subject: House (a new update version is now integrated into Firefox).

    Hey,.
mutiple sites tell me that the browser does not support websockets.
First of all, I saw this in the add-on pushbullet. Here, I thought it was a problem specific to the site.
But now I tried IPython notebook and the error came back.
I tried http://www.websocket.org/echo.html and the same once again.
But http://caniuse.com/websockets told me that it should be supported.
Checked in normal and safe mode, so it's not a problem to Add on.

Ok. Another profile solved this problem.
It was a simple setting that has been set to false.
I think it was a fragment of firefox 4/5 (yes my real config have its root in the firefox 3 xx times), there was simply the key network.websocket.enabled the value false, and I never used it until now.
So I'm able to keep my good old config and just change it in all: config.

So, if anyone has the same problem:
Before resetting the configuration, or worse still the whole profile:
-Open the link "subject: config ' in the browser
    -Locate the key: network.websocket.enabled
-Check if it is set to true (the default)

This has just begun. When I close firefox it tells me that I am closing multiple tabs. and will not let me save them. the only option is to cancel or OK. When I say OK and restart Firefox all my tabs go :-( This happens every time now. I know how to recover my old tabs but whenever I close Firefox it always warns me that I'm closing multiple tabs.

Do not use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear the 'browsing history '.

Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is a more reliable way to restore the session data.

    • Tools > Options > general > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

  • Why tell me that Bing is already installed, when it does not exist on my computer?

I removed the Bing on my computer because I don't like it much. Given that Google has become such a useless piece of junk, I decided to re - install Bing, but whenever I try, I get the following message.
    Quiote:
Firefox could not install the plugin 'https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/54407/bing-20090601.xml?src=category' research as an engine with the same name already exists.
This engine does not see any where on my computer with the exception of an XML file in Firefox/search engines. I deleted but it makes no difference. The files do not appear in Tools\addons, not in all: config. Please don't tell me that Firefox has become as useless as Google... I don't want to use IE.

Bing must be installed as a default search engine (bing.xml in the folder searchplugins in the Firefox program folder)
If the file is there and you can't see not in the search engines manage then click on the "Restore default settings" button to restore the default search engines.

If this does not help, then delete the search.json file and a possible search.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.
