Why firefox will not keep my active cookies settings? It changes their return once I put them.

I am enrolled in a course of mathematics online. It has been necessary to me to allow cookies. I tried to allow cookies in firefox, but whenever I do, I click ok and then when I come back, the settings are the way they were. I can change other things, but not cookies.
Please help me, I'm unable to access my course of mathematics and have already spent a lot of time on outages, for this and other questions I solved.
Thank you

It is a common problem. Try resetting firefox to solve the problem, but in case it does not try one of them: -.

That your cookies are not saved, it could be a third-party program change it back to its previous setting, the substitution of preferences user.js file.

Your installation of Firefox may have been customized to add a configuration file program that blocks certain preferences or prevents certain changes saved. If try reinstalling.

Firefox may be unable to save your settings if the prefs.js file (or the prefs.js.moztmp file, if it exists) is write-protected or there are other prefs backup files.
File preferences may be corrupt, Firefox prevents writing to it. If you delete this file, Firefox will automatically create another when it comes to.

Try one of the above... This should work.

Using Firefox, I go to a web page, and on it, there is a button to click for a contest entry. By clicking on the button should open a form (not a new web page) to fill. Nothing happens. It worked for me in the past, I entered this contest everyday until last Friday (11/22). Saturday (11/23), it wouldn't work.

I tried on several browsers, with the same result - no form to complete.

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from this area you don't want to lose so take note of these passwords and bookmarks.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

You should try to change your home page:

OK... um, I'm on Mac OS10.4.11 (not sure about the last two digits, but you get the idea). Trying to activate an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG NIC I have it configured and connected. After a reboot or power down/up the NIC comes up with the 'device wireless off. I see this when I go to Device Manager and select properties for this network controller. And then clicking the Advanced tab, I see "(radio off) wireless device" with a check box indicating that it is indeed 'off '. I uncheck this box and the message "this setting only take effect if the power button on the adapter is turned." Then clicking OK two times the changes are applied and the NIC rises and works until the process of booting from the network. I tried updating the driver, but the update process tells me that I'm late a (8.0.12.20000) installed. I searched this forum but have not seen all the patches. Anyone have any ideas? TIA for any help.

    Bob Helms

    The answer is;

1 uninstall the wireless network card.

2 re-boot and let XP find the wireless network card.

    3. manually configure the wireless NETWORK adapter to work with your wireless router.

If you do not manually turn off the radio it will remain turned on and configured after a re-boot.

    Thanks for your replies.
