Why FIREFOX will not save my HISTORY of parameters of USE CUSTOM settings?

It is very very annoying. I'm ready to throw the bucket of bit of this program.
I use it to access facebook and play farmville. I need to not FORGET things so that whenever I load farm town should not have their server stuff...

Whenever I open fire fox and go to the who's who and load farmville I get a message that says I can load faster if I allow them to store data on my computer...

I go into the settings of firefox and find that my history preferences won't save 'USE the PERSONALIZED SETTINGS.

I need to change every time. I have the 32-bit and 64-bit of Nightly (beta version) on my computer.
I completely removed those two, restarted windows 7, rebooted again, re-installed fire fox and it STILL happens...

Why? I'll be darn if I use Solution Explorer, but at least it will SAVE the settings and gets their damn!

Hello

See the article How to fix preferences that will not save.

Make sure you have not a user.js or mozilla.cfg file set your preferences each time you restart Firefox.

Until the most recent upgrades, Firefox automatically save my log in information for my home page. This is no longer. When I launch Firefox now, I click on Sign In, choose my password saved (from Roboform), and I'm connected.

Sometimes I can close Firefox, reopen it, and I am always connected. Most of the time when I close Firefox and reopen it, I have to reconnect. I have the same parameters in the last version I've had previously, but still have problems.

I tried all the 'stuff' standard (ensuring saved passwords, etc), but nothing changes. I uninstalled Firefox and started "from scratch", but it did not help. I'm puzzled.

BTW if I use Internet Explorer, my connection settings are saved. I want to use Firefox but signature every time is a pain.

  • Why Firefox will not save the binary to install iTunes?

The latest version of iTunes (11.1.4) caused problems for many users, and the Council is to uninstall/reinstall iTunes. After you have uninstalled iTunes (and cleared out the folders) I tried to download a new installation.
Firefox asks me if I want to save the file and I click Yes and... nothing happens.

Have read elsewhere that as it is a binary file, Firefox he treats like a mixed content file. However, I don't see any warning about it and there is no option to download it in any case.

Is there a setting that I have to fix or is this a bug?

Finally I had to use IE8 to successfully download the installation program.

I think I found the answer.

If I put my download options for 'Always ask me where to save files', then select desktop, nothing happens.

If I put my download options "save files...". "and then browse to change folder by default on the desktop download, the downloaded files OK.

If it's strange just at the binaries I don't know but it works with iTunes Installer.

As I prefer all downloads to go to the office in any case, using "save files...". "suits me better.

  • Why firefox will not start after update?

Update the alert message. Did a hard stop. Rebooted computer and Firefox will not open.

Maybe during the update some files were corrupted, try a clean reinstall:

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

  • Firefox does not save form history

Recently, I've erased recent history, including the form and historical research. I've now disabled this box and I am using a week evey of particular form, but he continues to not remember the details I entered several times since I erased from history. In the privacy option, it is located in "remember history". If I change to "use the custom settings for history", it shows that "remember form history" is checked.

This seems to be an error or do I have to keep the privacy setting "use custom settings for history"? I use Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop from 64-bit.

    Thank you.

Firefox doesn't have this form to complete related pref which is controlled by the setting in Options > privacy

If you have more (other) prefs, then they must have been added by an extension.

  • my new version of firefox will not save my user name and passwords - why?

My version before I updated to 4 saved all my usernames and passwords. Since the update to version 4, it records only a few. I checked that I'm not running in privacy mode and have checked remember passwords and have a master password in the Security section. I have a laptop with Windows Vista.

Some sites like PayPal, Yahoo, Windows Live, and bank sites use autocomplete = "off" to prevent Firefox to save and fill in the name and the password.

If a site uses autocomplete = "off" then look at this article for a bookmarklet to remove the attribute autocomplete and Firefox will provide store name and password.

If a Web site creates the login via JavaScript form then the password manager does not offer to store both passwords (Bug 518516).

  • Firefox will not save the names of user or password

I have Firefox at work, where they have a policy file that prevents me to set a homepage, by setting Firefox as default and remember history.

Now, because I used sync at work and at home sync to synchronize my favorites, I can no longer set the homepage to home, put Firefox by default, or save the data of login/password or search history. The only thing that remains is favorite.

Hi there, please check your preferences. Check if Donot forget not the history is enabled or not.
If Yes, then firefox behaves as incognito mode, change it to remember the story to solve your problem.

    Hope that helps.
If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to ask at any time.

  • Why firefox will not keep my active cookies settings? It changes their return once I put them.

I am enrolled in a course of mathematics online. It has been necessary to me to allow cookies. I tried to allow cookies in firefox, but whenever I do, I click ok and then when I come back, the settings are the way they were. I can change other things, but not cookies.
Please help me, I'm unable to access my course of mathematics and have already spent a lot of time on outages, for this and other questions I solved.
    Thank you

It is a common problem. Try resetting firefox to solve the problem, but in case it does not try one of them: -.

That your cookies are not saved, it could be a third-party program change it back to its previous setting, the substitution of preferences user.js file.

Your installation of Firefox may have been customized to add a configuration file program that blocks certain preferences or prevents certain changes saved. If try reinstalling.

Firefox may be unable to save your settings if the prefs.js file (or the prefs.js.moztmp file, if it exists) is write-protected or there are other prefs backup files.
File preferences may be corrupt, Firefox prevents writing to it. If you delete this file, Firefox will automatically create another when it comes to.

Try one of the above... This should work.

  • Firefox will not save my Yahoo mail passwords, but will be exploring.

Firefox allows to save passwords of yahoo Mail, but lately, doesn't seem to work. I have 2 email accounts and password with Yahoo. I read through and clicked on all the things on which allows passwords to be saved, but nothing works. I don't have this problem with Solution Explorer. If it's just something that Yahoo has been close Firefox then so let it be, but if there is something that can be done I would appreciate the help.

I read through the other Q & A on this point, it looks like a big problem everywhere, but many solutions say on bookmarks, etc I do not understand what to do. Many say "resolved", but I don't see any solution.

remmed on my first temporary comment

Hello, Web sites can specify whether browsers should be able to save the name of user and password (through the AutoComplete = "off" attribute in the login form in the HTML source)-this is also the case with yahoo.

You can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to work around this restriction.

  • Why Firefox will not open a form on the existing web page

Using Firefox, I go to a web page, and on it, there is a button to click for a contest entry. By clicking on the button should open a form (not a new web page) to fill. Nothing happens. It worked for me in the past, I entered this contest everyday until last Friday (11/22). Saturday (11/23), it wouldn't work.

I contacted the website and they claim that everything is working well and they tried it on multiple web browsers, with no problems - it works correctly.

I tried on several browsers, with the same result - no form to complete.

The sounds that you block or JavaScript $('.col').addClass ('phase2'); to enter the phase2 or there is a problem with the CSS that would make this visible form once you have clicked on the button to enter the phase2.

It's weird that it happens in other browsers as well, and that startup the computer Safe Mode has no effect.

You can try to reset (power off / on) of the router.

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from this area you don't want to lose so take note of these passwords and bookmarks.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.
