  I have a HP tablet PC laptop vista a little home less than 2 years. I downloaded the updates, I unfortunately don't know what they where. My laptop was asked to restart I did. It turn off fine, but when he started toward the top of screen never came. It was late and I went to bed, thinking it was just a long update or something. The next morning, my screen is always black.   I backed up my profile tried to run again without success. It wouldn't create a new profile.
  I completely uninstalled and deleted all the files associated with it. Then clean the registry. Reinstalled and now it works fine.
