Why Flash player works on Internet explore and request an update of Firefox and Chrome version?

On a Windows 7 (32 bit), I've already installed Flash player version 11.1.102.55. Internet Explorer (version 9) running Flash Player but Mozilla Firefox (version 9.0.1) content and Google Chrome (16.0.912.75) keeps that requires an updated Flash Player version (already installed the last of them: 11.1.102.55)

Well, Google Chrome has integrated Flash Player that you can not change, update of Google Chrome.

In C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash files contain only the Flash Player for Firefox, so I don't know how you play Flash with I.E.9(9.04?) videos.

I suggest a clean install: How to do a clean install of the Flash Player?

Be sure to run both of these installers.

You have probably installed a 64 bit version of Flash for Firefox plugin.

Firefox is a 332-bit application, so you need 32-bit versions of a plugin to make it work.

You can find the 32-bit version of the Flash Player installer for a 32-bit version of Firefox here (scroll down to Flash Player (32-bit)):

  • Flash Player 9 crashes Internet Explorer 6.

    Hello

Previous versions of Flash Player worked fine on my Win98SE system until I upgraded to versions 8 and 9, and then it became impossible to use Flash Player without a message saying that there was an invalid statement in the FLASH9B module to appear. OCX.

Sometimes I had to restart my system which had become unstable (blue screen - busy system).

I presented the dump of the registry of the FLASH9B. OCX crash to Adobe and they have as much as me with a uninstall tool with instructions on how to (re) install the latest version.

Each re-installation of the latest version always finished with a drop of the FLASH9B. Module OCX visit different websites,

Adobe advised me to stop using Flash Player on the grounds that there was, according to their estimates, something corrupt in my OS Win98SE and/or Internet Explorer version 6, everything I've updated with the latest patches from Ms.

I downloaded a fresh copy of Internet Explorer and I also ran the Win98 tool that checks the system files and I replaced the half dozen files that were reported as being suspect (checksum error, no doubt).

Despite this, Internet Explorer still crashes when I visit a Web site that offers rich media Flash on it (static images).

I myself resigned to living in a world without Flash Player.

But the price to pay for not keeping the Flash Player installed on his system is that there's constant requests to download Flash Player via a pop-up window, and even my Blocker should not hide these constant interruptions.

If anyone has had this same problem and if so, have you found a better way to live with or without Flash Player?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

UPDATE: when I go back to version 8, then the module FLASH8B. OCX crashes like version 9.
If I go back to version 7 (7.0.19), everything works perfectly. So, what has changed in version 8 which makes my downfall of Internet Explorer?

I think I found the explanation which can help others, I hope.

Flash Player 7 specifies not a minimum hardware requirement, but the Flash 8 and the most recent call to Pentium II 450 mhz.

Maybe this isn't the number of mhz. It's critical, rather the instruction set that comes with a processor of Pentium II 450 mhz (MMX and SSE).

Unlike my computer at 200 mhz (Pentium II), my wife's computer is a Celeron (300 mhz). His computer supports Flash 8, but I does not work. A major difference between the CPU and mine is that sound supports MMX (but not SSE) and mine does not support MMX.

Therefore, I conclude that the MMX is the essential characteristic, I'm missing to support Flash 8 and newer.

  • Bad having to download and install Adobe Flash Player in Windows Internet Explorer 11 8.1

I tried several times to download the flash player on the Adobe site with repeated failure. The Web site automatically goes to the help/support pages and won't let me download the flash player at all. So I run the troubleshooters it gives you and one tells me that needs Flash Player active, the active x filter in or I need to update the version that is installed. Make sure that the flash player is on and filter ActiveX is disabled. Then proceed to check the current version to see if she needs update and after the execution of the system check to see if I need an update I'm told that the installer IS NOT Flash player on my laptop. Only where the problem arises because the Adobe Web site will not let me access the page flash player so that I can download and then install it on my laptop... Someone please HELP me understand the problem here?

    Hi jethro469,

Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1 and updates are distributed by Microsoft via Windows Update.  You can also download the installer of Microsoft Update from the link displayed at the bottom of the Flash Player issues. Windows 8 page.

    Hi GFAngel-9,

Thanks for posting the screenshot.  It was very useful.

For non-French speaking people who may come across this message, the error is "Flash Player ActiveX Control fails to register".

The error record is generally returned when there are problems with permissions in the registry or the file system where the Flash Player is installed in.  Please read the FAQ How can I fix Windows with Flash Player permission problems? or the tech note Flash Player | Windows registry permissions.  The FAQ contains a video about the difficulty of running during the tech note contains more detailed information about the permissions problem.

  • Why Flash Player began to harass with authorization request pop-up windows?

During the last week, every time the video appears on a site, Adobe Flash Player has a settings popup appear. Why is this suddenly happening? There has never been a problem before.

I don't want information stored anywhere, so I click on "Decline", but the message keeps popping up.

I've upgraded to Flash Player 11, but he has not made a difference.

I went into the control panel settings for Web site registration and selected 'None' and 'Never ask', but it makes no difference. The settings popup always appears, and when I get back on the Panel it has disabled "ask again" box.

This problem is driving me crazy. I searched the web but can't find any answers. If there is a quick fix, I would be extremely grateful.

  • Flash Player 9 doesn't work in Internet Explorer 7 - SOLUTION

I tried EVERTYTHING. Flash Player 9 will work in some places, but when I return to the site, it stops working.

There are a few sites that won't work at all.

I uninstalled FP, reboot. Uninstall Shockwave. Reset. Install FP of the stand-alone Installer. Reboot.I have done this several times by ensuring that nothing else was running, as my anit-virus.

I uninstalled windows/system32/macromedia/etc. Delete the folder.

I have unintalled Control Panel Add/Remove

I have run CCleaner, deleted temporary files, etc. and corrected the registry problems.

    I did, too.
    Run regsvr32 jscript.dll
    Run regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I find that the videos will show if Flash Player does not work, if I disable the add-on, close IE, open IE and allow it.

Now he's come to the point where videos don't work on internet explore (youtube, etc.) or downloaded videos on media player or VLC player, at all. I am very confused as to why this has happened and no help to diagnose the problem, or better yet, fixing, would be much appreciated.

Uninstall all Plugins Internet (RealPlayer, QuickTime, Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave Player, Adobe Air, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Silverlight, pack K-lite codec, Java Runtime Environment, etc.) of your computer.  Also uninstall VLC and all other third party codecs or media players that you have installed.

    Restart the computer.

[Note: If you don't have any other browsers installed at that time, taste: Mozilla Firefox,Google Chrome and Opera are decent.]

    Restart the computer.

    Install the following plugins:

Be careful when installing each of them to NOT install anything other than the application.  No additional software such as bars of tools or scanners virus or other - uncheck options you install (go through the steps of each and READ/UNDERSTAND what you click on!)

    Restart the computer.

    Test the video.
