  • system health report problem

When I try to use to generate a system health report I get an error saying 'an error occurred while trying to generate the report.  The system cannot find the specified file. "Œuvres of reliability and performance monitor and I have the newspaper service Performance and alerts set to automatic.  I couldn't find a solution through direct or google search, so this problem seems rare.  I am running Windows Vista ultimate 64 bit edition oem and have had the motherboard replaced through the same installation of vista.

See if you can use this program to work on everything that can not find file Vista?  It maybe your access permissions are not sufficient privilege to access something in the registry or this mysterious file.

  • Update the BIOS and system health report question

I have two questions to ask you.

    1. I just bought a Quad DV6T-7000 a month ago. I'm unable to create a report of health system through the control panel > performance & information > advanced tools > generate system health report.  I get an error saying "cannot run" with no other information. It apparently came from HP in this way. Something has been corrupted? I have configured my laptop the way I like it and have installed all programs and applications of my previous laptop, so I hope that I don't need to do an installation of windows 7 to fix this. It is not really important. But it should work.

2 HP Support Assistant automatically installs updates to bios, or is it something that has to be done manually? I am currently set to auto critical or important updates. There is an update of the bios (f.22 I think) available for my Pavilion DV6T - 7000 Quad Edition, however, I am wary to update my bios given the many problems that people have after doing an update their bios.  So far, HP support Assistant has not notified me of the update and I have problems with the problems it addresses. Should I be worried?

Thank you, appreciate your making this feature expert day!

The files of your operating system will be inspected and the files that are supposed to be corrupted or damaged will be replaced with fresh copies of the repository own Windows file.  If this does not resolve the problem, then I suggest that you run Windows update. There may be an update that resolves this problem

Does your laptop have a UEFI environment.  This in fact safe update the BIOS if you decide to do.

You can set the HP Support Assistant to install updates or to notify you when updates are available.

I recommend that you do not set automatically update anything. My preference is that the Windows operating system and the laptop / desktop only doing what I want to do and when I want them to... That way I don't get surprises not unexpected and mysterious death blue screens or black screens.

  • Broken system health report; Error

    Error:

An error occurred while trying to generate the report.

    _____________________________________

Waiting for report generation tool finish has expired.

I fixed that by removing manually report logs in the folder:

    C:\PerfLogs\System\Diagnostics

Generate system health report tool every day for fun and I'm sure that the computer stops trying to save the reports.

  • System health report-Perflogs folder

The file 'Preflogs' could not have been installed by the factory Setup or deleted mysteriously, after I pasted a copy of it in the C: drive, the "health report Log system" still don't swells because most likely the registry entries, it directs to this folder are missing. Is there a solution to this dilemma without having to run a Windows repair installation since 'System Performance & system resources' work very well only the 'generate system health report"gives me a message (access denied).

    Hello MOM,

  • Two systems of anti-virus installed at the same time?

By ignorance I installed another anti virus on my pc while having activated the windows Defender, this may affect the protection of my pc?

By ignorance I installed another anti virus on my pc while having activated the windows Defender, this may affect the protection of my pc?

    To clarify...

Do you mean that you have installed an AV (antivirus) program, only one?
    If so, it's OK.
Once I got Avast free edition, it ran along the side with Windows defender. Never a problem between the 2.

That said, it depends on what AV you have installed.
The following AVs will stop your built-in Windows Defender. This is because the AVs have their own advocates. To have 2 defenders running in the system will create conflicts. Thus, they will stop Windows Defender.
    That means... it's OK too.

Here are the AVs lsi which will stop Windows Defender:
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    Norton
    McAfee
    MOY.

  • report said it did not find an anti virus program? I have Macafee

    Hi Cc' Jackson,.

    1. When did you start to question?

This problem occurs when Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) does not work on a Windows Vista-based computer.

To resolve this problem, you must analyze and repair the WMI repository on the computer database. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following commands. Pressing ENTER after each command line:

    WinMgmt /verifyrepository

    WinMgmt /salvagerepository

    c. restart the computer and check the system health report.

    Hope this information is useful.

I use 14.04.1 ubuntu lts. my version of firefox is 35.0.1 and what update it says that it is the last available.
I fear that the health report shows activity on 13 February, when my computer is on 12 February at 20:00.
is it posible that someone has control over my internet conection and the person is 5 hours of my time zone?
or y at - it an explanation for this behavior of the report health firefox?
Thanks in advance for your help
I am downloading and the image of my screen where it shows my time in the top right of the screen and report on health with two events on Feb. 13.

All computers use UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) internally, Greenwich time average aka, alias ZULU, as is called the US Navy. http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/UTC
Then the operating system subtracts the UTC offset as indicated in the user settings to the "local time". This shift from 5 hours to the hour UTC indicates the time Zone Eastern North Americam.

  • What should I do to obtain a certificate of good health in a new system diagnostics report?

I ran the system diagnostics report, and he informed me that there is no anti-spyware and anti-virus actively protect my hp dv9000 Laptop.  I use Microsoft Security Essentials.  It seems to work smoothly again in the system diagnostics report, I am informed that there is no anti-spyware and antivirus actively protect my computer.  What can I do to fix this?

    Hi, Bj,

The diagnostic software must be updated by the manufacturer of the computer to recognize Microsoft Security Essentials.  Be based on the status of Windows Vista security report and Microsoft Security Essentials icon status.  Ignore the rest.

A fix has been implemented for Windows 7 same question-

The report of health system does not detect the antivirus applications installed in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2482947

Windows doesn't detect all antivirus software, and some antivirus software doesn't relate its status to Windows. If your antivirus software is not displayed in Windows Security Center, and you don't know how to find it, try the following:

    • Looking for the antivirus software in the programs list on the start menu.

    • Type the name of the software or the Publisher in the search box of the start menu.

    • Look for the icon in the notification area of the taskbar.

You can try to uninstall MSE, reboot, and reinstall the software to see if it is detected when you are finished.

  • Why not tell the functionality of the Anit-Virus software health report?

    Information
Symptom: The Security Center has not recorded an antivirus product.
Cause: The Security Center is unable to identify an active antivirus application. There is no product protection antivirus installed or it is not recognized.
Resolution: 1 check that an antivirus product is installed.
      2. If an antivirus product is installed and running configure Security Center to stop monitoring anti-virus status.

This feature of Windows works never once correctly from when she started with Windows Vista

If you use Microsoft Security Essentials as it appears in the center of the Action is good, but in the report on health it is not problem that is resolved in update or service pack just ignore it and wait for the update and make sure MSE is green and center of the Action to recognize.

If it's an another anti-virus contact your anti-virus support.

  • the system diagnostics report

    Hello

I need help with the reporting system on my pc, I already looked at help section to try to understand that I had missed to correct the report.  I ran a report of diagnoses of the system 2 times and each time I do, I get the same report indicates that the Security Center has not registered an anti virus product and the need to check an anti virus product is installed and functional. I have entered the system on my pc and etc and having other things on mine, but the report is still saying there is no anti virus detected security.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

I suggest that you want to run a full virus scan using Windows Defender in offline mode, because it can help to remove hard to find malicious and potentially unwanted programs using definitions that recognize the threats.

Definitions are files that provide an encyclopedia of potential software threats. Armed with definition files, Windows Defender in offline mode can detect malicious and potentially unwanted software and then inform you of the risks.

  • Why is my system different?

When I start my computer, I'm often greeted with the screen Microsoft Security Center who told me that automatic updates is not configured.  I click "Turn on automatic updates" and I am told to go to the 'system' in the Control Panel, click on the "Automatic updates" tab and then click on "automatic".  The only problem is that when I go to the 'system' there is NO "Automatic updates" tab and, therefore, no "automatic" to click.  Why the my system is different from that described by the system itself?  I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP 3, 32-bit.  My turn came with the operating system installed, so I don't know that I paid as much as anyone else for her.  How do I don't have tabs and the things I received instruction click to alleviate its problems?  More important still, what can I do to work around this problem?

It may be that the cabinet.dll is missing or damaged.  Follow these steps:

Please download SystemLook from one of the links below and save it to your desktop.

    http://jpshortstuff.247fixes.com/SystemLook.exe

    http://images.malwareremoval.com/jpshortstuff/SystemLook.exe

    Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.

Copy and paste the following two lines in the main text field:

    : filefind

    Cabinet.dll

Click the Look button to start the scan.

When finished, a Notepad window will open with the results of the analysis. Please send this log in your next reply.

Note: The journal can be found on the desktop, titled SystemLook.txt
