  • SE message file each time you start download

The computer in question is used in a school setting and has been disconnected during the summer. It runs xp and IE 7. After hanging upwards, to every startup I get a message about an upgrade of the realtek driver, I think that not having is not enough memory to load, it will and then the dialog box "do you want to run or download this file", files downloaded from the internet can be harmful, etc.. The file is a Web site accessible from previos year, so I guess it may or may not be infected. everything I chose has no effect on it reappear the next time you start, reappears when ie 7 is open. It looks more boring than anything. These computers are used by children thus have a variety of glitches, crashes. any suggestions will be appreciated as maintenance is left to teachers for most

I solved the problem by updating IE7 to IE8. I suppose that reinstall IE7 would have worked too. Seems somehting is stuck in the old browser. It turns out that it was even more embarrassing that I knew first, since the message will reappear when opening the browser or changing web sites. I had to install IE8 and reboot the computer before he went. If someone can explain why it worked, I would like to know

Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".

In the Compatibility tab, make sure that this level of privilege: "Run this program as an administrator" is not selected.

You should also check the firefox.exe program properties in the Firefox program directory.

  • I have 6 tabs-site I want to open each time you start, but they always come with the information of yesterday. How to fix this?

They are each a news Web site, so I want to "today's news" instead of the day before, when I checked the.

If you reopen the pages automatically from the previous session then Firefox will load the pages in the cache and the above mentioned browser.cache.check_doc_frequency will not help in this case.

  • Cookie permissions changed to allow each time you start Firefox

OK, here's the deal. Recently, I noticed that cookies are allowed despite their has refused. After messing around, I discovered that everything in having disabled cookies, whenever I run the FF cookies automatically application becomes activated (both accept cookies & third 3rd party cookies is checked). I removed the Cookie Monster & it's the same thing. I already deleted the file prefs.js and this was not good. At the time, I toggle the installed Cookies, which I have to click every time FF launches. At the launch, it starts as denied, and then it turns into permits. Once I click the icon and set it on refuse, then the checkmarks in the boxes to get out. So why are cookies automatically set parameters to allow whenever I run the FF application?
I wonder if DoNotTrack had something to do with it? I've removed from FF. I also Ghostery, but until a week ago, Ghostery & Cookie Monster played well together.
Anyone have any ideas? The browser has been infected with something? Noted today, launch FF in safe mode shows also that the parameters of cookies change not to permit. Apparently something running in normal mode is at the origin of the problem. Other plug ins present on the browser are: NoScript, Foxy Proxy, AdBlock plus, fast Java and Norton toolbar.

Have you tried to disable all add-ons that specifically mention cookies?

If you feel that other settings changes do not stick, too , between sessions, this may indicate a problem with permissions or file locks in your profile folder.

External your security suite or other security/privacy software have its own settings cookies could be pushing into Firefox in some way?

  • Computer continues to update whenever I locked down that pose problems each time you start windows applications.

Computer updates windows applications whenever I stop.  The next time I turn on the computer, I get the message that it has been shut down normally and gives me the choice of how to start: safe mode, safe mode with networking or normal setting.  Then, the computer goes into a loop and may finally allow me to start, but the screen looks normal.  Right now, I couldn't do.

    Hi tootsie202,

In addition to the suggestion of John John MVP, try the following and check:

You can try the following methods and check to see if it helps:

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

You can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem occurs.

Check out the link for more information on starting your computer in SafeMode below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2:

If you can boot into safe mode without any problem, and then try to perform a clean boot.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    Method 2:

You can also view the details of the event log.

For more information, see the article:

Procedure to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Each time you start Windows 7 wants to (re-) check my drive :-(

For about a week I have the most annoying effect, that whenever I start Windows says it needs checking my drive for consistency. And if I do not respond in time to cancel the verification it shuts off and running chkdsk. A few times I have let the scan (which takes about an hour :-() and have never been here all of the problems detected. But at the next startup, I invariably get this msgagain!

I usually start my laptop twice a day (in the morning at the office and in the evening at home) and I also always close properly. There has never been any accident or message during her stop. So why then Windows still conclude that he needs to (re-) check the disc?

Is there a way to know, why is this happening? Or what program or driver could cause this problem?

    Michael

    Read this:

    How to solve this problem

Well, that's easy. First click Start > Search Box > bring up a command prompt by typing "Cmd" and type "fsutil dirty query d:". He asks the reader, and more likely, it will just tell you that it is dirty. Then, type "CHKNTFS /X D:". The X tells Windows to NOT check this particular drive during the next reboot. At that time, manually restart your computer, it should not do a Chkdsk and take you directly to Windows.

Once Windows has finished loading, set up a different prompt CMD and type and now you want to do a Chkdsk manually by typing "Chkdsk /f /r d:". This should take you through 5 stages of analysis and will unset that dirty little. Finally, type "fsutil dirty query d:" and Windows will confirm that the dirty bit is not set on this drive. Good luck!
