Why image links in my HTML signature get turned into inline images?

I wrote a program to create files of HTML signature for e-mail on my workplace programs.

The signature file using URLS for images hosted on one server. It seems to work very well, but I noticed that when I send an email from Icedove (Thunderbird rebadged for Debian), links the image get automatically converted to attachments. These are then visible as blocks MIME base64-encoded in the source of the e-mail.

I can't find any option to change this behavior anywhere in the application, even in the configuration editor.

Can someone tell me how to change this behavior? Thanks in advance.

I use Icedove v.17 for Debian 64 bit.

By default, Thunderbird attaches all the images, even if the < img > element points to a remote resource. Most email clients block remote content these days unless the user authorizes (see this thread for detailed discussion) because of potential privacy and tracking problems. Thus, the image you are adding as a remote resource may not appear the first time the recipient opens the message.

If you want to change your code respectively in any case, take a look at this article. You need to add an attribute < img moz-not - send = "true"> element that will tell Thunderbird not download the image from the server and points in sending the message.

  • Link HTML Signature colors

When I create a HTML signature, all my formatting is licensed, except for the colors, I chose for the links.

Example: I have red selected for a link like www.website.com and when I send the email the website link color is blue. (still, no other blue color)

How can I get the HTML signature to contain the colors on the links.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Under Tools/Options/display/colors you have for colors... 'Override' setting? You may have 'Never' to see your specified color.

  • Adding pictures and links to the email signature

This has been a problem for years, and many people complained to this topic. There are thousands of messages. Why Apple does not take care of this? I am trying to create a professional signature with our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram links. But I want the links to be placed on the appropriate logos. I tried the HTML version and it all works, it has a very strange formatting. I tried the "Edit image" version when I click on "Add a link" and it SEEMS fine, but then when I close the signature window and go to write an email, instead of having different links on each image, the first link contains ALL the photos and the warning below.

For example, the first image is a logo FB link to the official page of David Bowie FB. The second image is the logo of twitter which is supposed to link to the official twitter account. The third image is the Instagram photo that is supposed to link to our page of instagram. And the last picture below these three is a banner of sorts, link to official site. Signature looks perfect when I change it. When I close the menu signature and go to write an email, signature of all including disclaimer is all a link - link only to the official FB page (which was the first link). I've tried absolutely everything and it keeps just change it to that.

I also tried to create the GIS in an e-mail and send it to me so I can copy paste. Look in the e-mail, but copy paste creates the same problem as before. The first link takes over all other images and exclusion. Why is it so hard to create something so simple? I don't own a PC and have not in years but I had no problem (for years now) creating a signature in Outlook on my work PC. I love infinitely more Apple, but when it comes to the mail app, it's stuck in 1999.

Is there someone who can help with this?

  • Windows Mail - insert HTML signature?

    Greetings,
Using Windows Mail (Vista), I tried to follow the instructions: http://www.timeatlas.com/mos/Email/General/Create_Image_Signatures_in_Windows_Mail_or_Live_Mail/
When insert > file htm or html Signature, email image won't display, only a red X. So I kept Live Mail tips, with the same result.
Bed Notepad the HTML code and maintains the path information.
the same file to be opned in widows Mail REMOVES the path information.

Basically, it seems once I saved the HTML it adds or removes information, which makes the image is no longer visible.

Windows Mail - insert HTML signature?
    (1) path Info IS recorded and visible in Notepad.
    (2) Windows Mail is to REMOVE the path information
    [url = http://img19.imageshack.us/i/widowsmailhtml.jpg/] [img = http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4718/widowsmailhtml.th.jpg] [url]

    Hey sadicus,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

    1. this problem may occur if the Windows Mail is unable to locate the source of the image to be included in the e-mail message.

    2. to resolve this problem, use a text editor (such as Notepad) to edit the custom signature HTML file to add the full path of the location of the graphics file information before sending the e-mail message.  Here is an example of the code without the path:

    3. This example of HTML refers to the Test.gif file. Only the source of the image (img src) information, lists the file name, but does not list the path to the files. In this example, you would change the HTML code:

4 take a look on the link below for more information on changing the settings of Signature:

  • A link to an html file

This should be so easy! I've created a header with Flash. I want to integrate my html in the header files. When I click on the flash buttons it should link to internal html files. Therefore, the About Us button will go to Aboutus.html. I don't know how it can be manipulated with the URL request, but I do not want to include the http:// and so on in the link. If I can get help with this code, it will be great.

you did not include the http:// in your url request (if you are linking to the same domain/subdomain). Just do a urlrequest of the slash. As if, you are linking with the aboutus file / just set the path to the "/aboutus/" and he gets the currentdomain/aboutus /.

I click on the links in the email and get a box that says: "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" and the link cannot be opened.

    Suggestions;

    1. make sure that your e-mail program is your default program.

    2. make sure that your Internet Explorer, or your main browser has all its faults.

You can do both of the above by following these steps...

Start button > right column, click default programs > click Set Your Default programs...

    1. click on your e-mail program > it doesn't say "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on choose by default for this program > check all boxes below the list > click on save when finished.

2 do the same as above for your Internet Explorer, or your main browser.

Webcam is displayed in devices and printers, but can not get turned on?

    Hello

    ·         What operating system do you use?

    ·         You're using a built-in or external webcam?

    ·         What is the brand and model of the webcam?

    ·         Were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to check in Device Manager if you can detect the webcam. See the link below to open the Device Manager in windows 7:
