Why internet security avg check my yahoo mail

Team dear Microsoft Answers

Am writing to you today because I'm confused how such a safety concern as this could happen and I think I've seen this more than once.

I am getting to the bottom of the mail sent to tell me how the mail had been checked by AVG Internet Security

(> > No virus found in this post.)
> > Checked by AVG - www.avg.com
(> > Version: 2012.0.1913 / Virus Database: 2112/4815 - Release Date: 17/02/12)

I do not understand why, when I uninstalled AVG a long time ago and also delete all the files that are hidden from the Local 'C' drive

I had at one time gave AVG installed on this laptop, but for a very short time.

I've seen this before, but it seems that from my Yahoo email account and only this one, I have two and this account is one of my first.

the address is: * address email is removed from the privacy *

I will write to Yahoo, AVG and Kaspersky about this, too, but it made me wonder if there is a link lingering on my laptop or is it in one of my files.

I hope I can get advice on this above statement.

Yours Sincerely

JTValerie

If you use 'Yahoo mail' as you say, then you are probably there access with a web browser. Is this the case?

I suspect that the sender of the messages using AVG scan his outgoing mail and attests that she (a waste of time, by the way) and you see what their computer system added to the post, not something to be added on your end.  Just to be safe, however, use the AVG Remover (found here: http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities) to ensure that AVG is completely out of your system.  Antivirus programs do their best to prevent being uninstalled, and often the Add/Remove programs of control panel uninstall program does not have a complete work.

  • problem Windows xp and avg internet security

Program AVG Internet Security - AVG PC Tune Up - changed/corrupted my Windows Defragmenter program.  Before downloading the free version of this Tune Up program that I had always used the drive Windows Cleanup and Defragmenter programs. The problem is your HARD drive has been marked "sale" and you cannot defragment a dirty volume.

Your HARD drive may have been marked dirty of a power interruption, using the power button, pulling the plug, abnormal termination, aborted reboot, etc..

You can query the dirty bit on a volume from the command prompt window.  Here's how:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    cmd

Click OK to open the command prompt window.

For example, to query the bit of impurity on drive C, type this command:

    fsutil dirty query C:

    The sample output:
    Volume c is dirty
    Volume C: is dirty

Type "exit" to close the command prompt window.

No amount of order entry, no amount of editing the registry deletes the on a volume's dirty bit (sorry that Microsoft committed 'experts' Support Engineer)

Only a chkdsk with error correction (chkdsk/r) can clear the dirty bit, and it might not work the first time.

To run chkdsk/r, click on start, run and enter in the box:

    Chkdsk /r

Click OK and the answer you want volume checked on next reboot (restart of course).

This disk check can last a long time (perhaps several to several hours) depending on the size of the volume, the amount of data on the volume and what the disk check finds to do.  You may need to run more than once.

When chkdsk runs automatically restart either because XP thinks he needs to (perhaps your NTFS volume has been marked as dirty) or you have chosen to do it yourself, the results appear in the viewing Application event log.  You should look there for the chkdsk log and no problems after running chkdsk.

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Search the Application log for an event originally by Winlogon, something like:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Winlogon
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 1001
    Description:

    Checking file system on C:

The type of the file system is NTFS.
A disk check has been programmed.
Windows will now check the disk.
    39070048 KB total disk space.
    25151976 KB in 78653 files.
    48256 KB in 10264 index.
    0 KB in bad sectors.
237080 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
    13632736 KB available on disk.
Windows has finished checking your disk.

If you see errors - same errors that are corrected, run chkdsk /r again until you see no error.  You should have no errors.

Check again the dirty bit.  Rinse and repeat if you wish.

  • Yahoo mail does not load in the new version of FF!

Since the new version of FF (40.0.2) I can not open yahoo mail. I have try to disable noscript and adblock, but nothing. In old portable version of FF 33 site works very well. Can you tell me what wrong and why new FF disable access to yahoo mail?

First of all, a common problem faced by users with Yahoo! mail is that Yahoo changed their server. If you are using an old bookmark or the old address of the homepage to access your e-mail, try to use this more general address so that if your server has changed, you redirected to the new servers:

    https://mail.Yahoo.com/

If this makes no difference, here are some general things to try:

When you have a problem with a particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clear your Firefox cache and delete your cookies for the site.

    (1) delete the Cache of Firefox

See: How to clear the cache of Firefox

Note: If you have a large hard drive, it may take a few minutes.

    (2) remove the cookies from the site (waiting for work save first). While displaying a page on yahoo.com, try either:

    • Right-click the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then change the address at the top of this dialog from yahoo.com to mail.yahoo.com to see if there are cookies to clear any extra.

Then try to reload the page and sign in again. Workstation?

If this doesn't help, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

  • I ran Trend Micro Internet Security Pro when a mistake also appeared as the "Visual C++ Runtime Library" what does that mean?

Original title: problem of the Visual C++ Runtime library

I ran Trend Micro Internet Security Pro when a mistake also appeared as the "Visual C++ Runtime Library" what does that mean?  I called Trend Micro, they said it was a mistake by Microsoft and get in touch with them. Microsoft seems to think that it is a problem of Trend Micro... Someone knows who has problem, is it?  How can I get rid of this thing of C++.  I have Windows XP thanks

    Hello

The message appear when you run Trend Micro Internet Security Pro?

I suggest that you follow these methods and see if they help.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

This could be the result of a virus. I wish you put your computer into safe mode and run a scan and check if that helps.

    Step 2:

In normal mode, Uninstall and reinstall software Trend Micro Internet Security and check if the problem persists.

    Note:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable/uninstall your antivirus software. If you must temporarily uninstall to solve a problem, you must reinstall as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is uninstalled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 3:

Perform disk defragmentation and check if the problem persists.

  • Is it possible to recover hundreds of mails that have disappeared from my Inbox after it has been quarantined today by Norton Internet Security?

I received an infected email this morning which resulted in Norton Internet Security quarantine inbox. All received emails are gone now from the Inbox (with the exception of two who apparently arrived just before the infected message).
    (1) is it possible to recover the E-mails lost without re-infection of the Inbox?
    (2) how can I avoid this happening again? Until today, the infected emails have simply removed by Norton Internet Security on arrival without all the previous messages being lost in the Inbox.
I would be very grateful for help.

you force Nortons of UN-setting in the file quarantine.
Then, you create an exception for Norton analyzes the folders that contain your Thunderbird profile, so it is not repeated.

Be aware that the infection is not as severe as the cure. Maybe you can find someone to Semantec to explain how an email in Thunderbird can infect anything unless you physically open an infected attachment that Norton should catch when it is written in the temp folder before opening.

I lost a lot of time talking to corporate cretins to Semantec and they charge just "this is another line of defense" when asked for more details. Why, because they can simply justify not e-mail Scanner in any other terms. Enjoy it servers little or not by the challenges of usability and convenience.

This "mail" was written on your drive hard until Semantec has managed to make a mess of things. It's a little late don't you think saying "you have an infection. Do they expect also for stuff in your browser to be written on the disc? You bet they do. Where is the preventive surveillance to data transmissions that prevents infection before it is written on your drive?

  • Today firefox has made my yahoo mail page, internet explore and mail is running in

worked well on firefox this morning and then when I came back to the blink of mail and a completely
another screen and colors and white squares with letters and numbers, where the buttons were, nothing
worked through advice to yahoo so I did a system restore and the same screen came up to the top... tried the
account on another computer and it showed good... nothing has been newly installed or implemented to date.
Changed to Internet Explorer and e-mail account, the buttons and the theme works, looks like that
always has. I have also turned off everything, did a restart, my e-mail account is returned to the always strange looking.

Once you are on the tab "Content" in the preferences of Firefox, you will need to click on the 'Colors' button in the box 'fonts and colors '. There is also a checkbox to allow pages to choose their own colors. I had the same problem of white background in Yahoo mail, but once I checked this box, everything's fine! I hope it works for you!
