Probably, you are referring to the process of Firefox.
Each process can threads within a process to perform specific tasks in parallel, see multiple threads in a specific active process is quite normal.
Only one thread can be active at the time and the other waiting to be taken up (allocation at the time). -

Things you can do to solve the slow Downs
If your computer seems to run slower, here are some things you can do:
Start with tours: OS X maintenance - MacAttorney;

" Safe mac" the myth of the dirty Mac;
Start in Safe Mode , and then repair your hard disk and permissions:
Fix the hard disk and permissions before Lion
Boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left. In the status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer.
Repair the hard drive - Lion-Lion/mountain/Mavericks
HD recovery start:
Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until it appears the screen of Menu utilities. Otherwise, restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the OPTION key until the Boot Manager screen. Select recovery HD disk icon and click on the button below.
When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility. After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.
Restart your computer normally and see if it helped at all. Then do little maintenance:
For disk utility can't handle situations, the best third party is Disk Warriorutility; Fixed DW only for problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by the corruption of directory; Warrior drive 4.x is now compatible with Intel Mac.
Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will boot Mac running Snow Leopard or earlier. He cannot start Mac that came with Lion or later preinstalled, however, DW will work on these models.
Suggestions for OS X maintenance
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are supposed to take place on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Maintenance scripts that are run at the beginning AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep). If this isn't the case, then a great solution is to download and install a shareware like Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacronor Anacron utility that will automate the maintenance regardless of whether activity if the computer is off or asleep. Dependence on third-party utilities to run periodic maintenance scripts has been significantly reduced since Tiger. These utilities have little or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later version, and must not be installed.
OS X automatically defrags files smaller than 20 MB in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files it little need to defragment the hard drive.
Under no circumstances should you install operating MacPaw or ZeoBit software (CleanMyMac/CleanMyDrive or Mac Keeper, respectively.) You don't need special software to keep your computer.

Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari
Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.
It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.

6. be careful where you go on the internet.
7. don't download anything from sites, you know are safe.
8 avoid links that you receive in email, always be wary, even if you get something
you think a friend is, but that you did not expect.
9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume that it is malware.
Troubleshooting Applications
I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.
If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility. If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line. Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.
Basic backup
For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:
1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;
2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's
used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
drive being backed up.
You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):
2. get backup
5. Synk Pro
6. Tri-Backup
Visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the backup and restore. Also read How to back up and restore your files. For using Time Machine, visit FAQ Time Machine of Pondini for help with all this time Machine.
Referenced software can be found at MacUpdate .
Additional tips
Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.
Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.
Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.
Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:
Before Mavericks
Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder. Select all processes in the drop process . Click the % CPU column heading twice to display in descending order. If find you a process that uses a large amount of time processor (> = 70,) then select the process, and then click the quit icon in the toolbar. Click the force quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Don't forget to mention the name of the runaway process, so you can find the cause of the problem.
Mavericks and later versions
Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder. Select all processes in the menu display . Click the CPU tab in the toolbar.
This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.

Activity monitor close unexpectedly when running in the background on the left
Recently upgraded to Mac OS Sierra and Activity Monitor to close unexpectedly when running back plan left (do not smoke and open the activity monitor window) to a blank desktop when you use an application in another office. Clean install I tried but the activity monitor would still be down at random times when left running in the background to another empty office. Someone at - there experience this problem? For most browsing on the web using Safari on another desktop computer when Activity Monitor quit unexpectedly.
Activity monitor also using a lot of energy since the upgrade?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Model: MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)
OS: macOS Sierra: 10.12 (installed via the upgrade, own installed after this problem).
Do not forget that you are using the activity monitor version which was installed when you upgraded to Sierra. Activity monitor located in the your Mac utilities folder.
If you have moved a previous version to a different location, it will not work.
If you are using the correct version, post crash report. Error reports lies in the application of the Console under System reports or reports from usersand end in the suffix .crash. If you choose to do so, omit or hide any information that you consider personal.

I have a strange problem with my RAM supported by installers. When I check the activity monitor, 3 installers are open and they start around 80 MB memory RAM used for about 7 or 8 concerts after 10 minutes. I have to force them to quit, but I don't know what I am closing or why they open in the first place. Applications downloaded on iTunes?
In addition, the Console has opened with the same message several times, but I don't know what that means.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hello
The last is a picture of the Terminal window.
Just because it lists 'Console' does not mean that it has nothing to do with this application.
You have not said why or what you're trying to install so I can't help with that.
You can use the activity monitor to leave their.
After you select an item, use the X in a type of stop sign icon and confirm force quit.

NSX and "Activity Monitor".
Hey all,.
I'm currently busy to test the feature "Activity Monitoring" NSX.
I activated "vShield Endpoints / investigating comments ' on a specific cluster.
I also enabled "Data collection" on each different guest VMS and VMware Tools are installed.
All my machines in the cluster are running on Linux (Ubuntu).
Now when I do all this and try to see a release in the (NSX) Activity Monitoring section is completely none given y.
What I'm doing wrong here?
Only the Windows VMs can use Introspection of comments for the moment. Does not work / not supported for Linux (yet).

Selection of articles from the different sectors of activity
Hello
I am trying to build a report where I have to select items from different sectors, but as soon as I select the item (criteria) main for my report, some areas are disabled Affairs (or what you call) and I am unable to make a selection for a particular element of these sectors of activity.
Why? and how can I select any business, I want?
Because of limited responsibilities?
Where and how can I change/add in sql to include that particular item in the report.
Thank you!
NHi N
First of all there should be joins activated between folders in the different sectors. If these were not created then the other business sectors will be grayed out. This is where I would look first.
You can also share folders between multiple sectors of activity, and I think in general it's the most effective way. In this way, you don't need to give multiple sectors of activity to get a work report.
To share folders, here's a workflow:
1. start the administration tool
2. from the menu bar, select Tools | Managing
3. Select the folder tab
4 find the folder you want to share by using the drop-down next to the Word file:
5. you should see on the left business districts and areas of current activity on the right
6. in the list of available business districts, find the one you want to share the folder with and move it to the list of the current areas of the company
7. click on the OK button
8. do not forget to place the shared folder in a position siutable in your newly shared industryWARNING: when you share a folder, it is really shared. What you do in the folder in a field that will appear in the other. You can therefore not named one thing in one and something else in another. If you need to have different names for the same file in different sectors of activity that you need to copy the folder not share it.
To copy a folder, here's the workflow:
1. start the administration tool
2. open the two sectors of activity
3. spread the business area that has the folder
4 navigate to the folder and place your cursor on it so that it appears highlighted
5. press CTRL + C to copy the file in memory
6. place your cursor on the name of the business to that area you want to copy the file
7. press CTRL + V to finish copying
8 rename the copied folder to give it an appropriate name (rename the recipient too)
9 do the necessary joins from / to the folder copied to other folders in the business district
10 any other changes, you need to rename items, by hiding elements, add conditions and so onBest wishes

What do you see in the activity monitor to suggest that the RAM is fine?
The EtreCheck report shows that you have only 33MB of free RAM in time, which can only cause slowdowns. Google Chrome only takes 1.3 GB of it. Chrome is a Devourer of enormous resources, so if possible, try to quit smoking by using another browser.

How to use the activity monitor?
Can I use the activity monitor active processes against a list of processes that are supposed to be here vs not and if so, can someone point me in the direction where the default process for comparison?
You have a problem or if you are curious? I think that etrecheck would be a better choice. You could start your mac in safe mode to see what is typical. There is a lot of process. I have internet google with the name of the process. is going to be a bit tedious for all 185 or let etrecheck aside.
You can run etrecheck, by default, it leaves aside the common process of apple.
Download etrecheck. Click the link to download at the bottom of the screen.

This Esinter 90% and more NECK usage in activity monitor
Check with Etrecheck, I see a flag for 98% of CPU usage in the list of best processes for "esinter."
This is confirmed by Application Monitor (it the percentage varies, of course, but is constantly around 90% and more mark).
I tried to quit and Force Quit 'esinter' in the activity monitor, but it comes back after a few seconds.

Powerd in Activity Monitor uses 100% of CPU, MacBook sounds like a jet taking
Since I upgraded from Cougar to El Capitan on my MacBook in Late 2009, powerd in Activity Monitor often using 100% of CPU for more than 5 minutes.
Activity Monitor to stop smoking allows, until I opened AM again, I opened all the time. Allows you to restart, but it happens again and again, especially running iTunes.
I recently installed a 1 TB OWC SSD and installed clean El Capitan with the Migration Wizard. I've never used my own Mac App. I read something about Nap App causes this problem.
Any thoughts anyone?
Turn off the NAP. Most likely you don't need it.
Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:
- Reset the PRAM
- Reset the controller (SMC) system management
- Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
- Repair the disk by booting to the HD recovery immediately after that the chime press the command and R keys until the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the continue button. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry of the list to one side. Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait the fact button appear. Disk utility and return in the Utility Menu. Restart the computer from the Apple Menu.
- Reinstall OS X by booting from the Recovery HD using the command and R keys. When the Utility Menu appears, select reinstall OS X and then click on the continue button.
- Download and install the update of OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 Combo.

Disappears from the main window of the activity monitor
I'm under El Capitan 10.11.5, 15F34 build on an iMac (retina, 5K, 27 inch, mid-2015). If I open the activity monitor, I get the CPU usage, but the main window will briefly appear and disappear. If I minimize and restore, I also get it for a fraction of a second and then it seems to fall back on the dock. The history of CPU option (cmd 3) is grayed out, although I can get it as the icon in the dock.
My question, then, is what caused this problem and how to restore to normal activity monitor?
Please read this message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.
Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.
While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.
Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?
After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.
* Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.
Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.
The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.
Test in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

What is "RCP" in activity monitor?
I asked this question in a previous post, but it was not resolved, but it was marked resolved. The "RCP" process, a large part of the time is at the top of the list on the activity monitor. When I am using Safari if it is to type an e-mail or fill out a form or something search, page crashes or I received the rotation beach ball. I look at the activity monitor and 'RCP' is generally superior to 100% CPU use almost every time.
I trashed all except an extension and the applications that go with them, but it does not solve it. I disabled the extension I keep and I still have the problem. The extension is RoboForm, and I've used it since 2011 without problem. Last week, I installed the latest version of RoboForm, but I still have the problem, so I can exclude RoboForm and its extension.
Given that I had this problem of process 'RCP'... after closing the lid of my MacBook Pro and put it to sleep at night, in the morning and by opening the cover, I get a white screen with the Apple logo and a progress bar under and it loads lower at halfway. and freezes what has happened a few times. Twice, I couldn't my MacBook Pro to start successfully. The first time that it has happened that I called Apple support and we worked on it for over an hour and I finally had to do a clean reinstall of El Capitan. My Mac has worked well for a week. I still have the problem of "RCP". When my Mac was put in mode 'sleep' for hours, when you open the lid of my Mac, I sometimes have the white screen with the Apple logo and the bar of progression which is responsible for less than 50% and freezes. Usually, I do a SMČR or a Reset SMC, to be able to boot successfully. last night I had this problem, but nothing worked, so I went into recovery to disk utility mode and left there while trying to contact Apple Support, but after waiting for a long time, they closed and my Mac fell asleep, and I could not wake him, so I did a force quit. This morning I turned on my Mac and it started successfully. I called Apple Support and I sent the log files to learn about the startup problem. Now I'm trying to learn about the process of "RCP".
I would appreciate help with this.
