  Then... all of a sudden my Firefox (v. 38.0.1) is really laggy, with slow-to-respond buttons, scrolling etc. So I manually disable all addons, but nothing helped.   I was running firefox 37.0.2 with kaspersky antivirus 2013 and zonealarm pro and had no problems. After that I updated to kaspersky antivirus 2015. I tried to start firefox and it took a long time to load up. When I try to search something on google, it takes a long time to load a page.   Thanks for the help. I removed kaspersky antivirus and zonealarm firewall pro and installed kaspersky internet security and it works well. I think the last patch of kaspersky antivirus 2013 (patch L) is causing a conflict with zonealarm pro.

With Chrome, when I put in place of shortcuts to profiles that Chrome allows you to do in a single click, by the way, if I have a profile already open, I can open windows in all separate profiles using their shortcuts. In Firefox, I can't. If I have an open profile, the other shortcuts simply open windows in the same already open profile. This is not acceptable. It's not as if profiles are in the same directory. They are in separate directories and that there should be no problem with the opening of two or more profiles at the same time.

  I've apologized for my ignorance and passed to the most recent stable version 16.01 and faithful to the word of Firefox Support, did not have my browser updated since... last few days when I first noticed the browser has been configured to be updated.
