Why is my printer HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw prints 4 horizontal lines of each color of ink?

My printer prints 4 horizontal lines of each ink color.  Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.  I tried the recalibration, restart, remove all the cartridges and put in new cartridges.  Nothing works.  What is the drum?  The printer is only 6 months old.

  • Color LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw multifunction - print that hangs or restarts printer after the print request

I am using a LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw with a wireless connection and a USB connection, for several years with my MacBook Pro, spanning several evolutions of the Mac OSX (Mountain Lion, Lion, Mavericks) without incident.

Today, no reason apparent, the printer started to expose the problems of processing printing orders sent, through the wireless and via the USB port.

When you try a wireless connection, the print queue to fill up and the LCD will display printing in progress (with no impression caused), then the screen would just whiten and the printer would appear to restart, with the HP logo, and then subsequently return to the normal display mode, as if she was ready to print or copy, no matter.   No printing would take place, and the print queue would remain as if there is a current print job, with no impression caused.

When you try to use the USB connection, the print queue indicates that a print command has been sent to the printer, but then, he did the same wireless, with the LCD screen goes white and apparently to restart the printer.  The print queue is populated, but printing never takes place.

I have reset the printing system several times, removed and reinstalled the printer several times (wireless W USB connections), use the HP utility to try to install the printer, download and install the latest version of the driver for the device, rebooted the MacBook Pro, etc, etc.

The ONLY thing that can print at this time is if I use the HP utility software, and receive information from device and then use the PAGE printing CONFIGURATION - then and then only, the printer responds immediately and prints the page, just as it was always in the past (until now!).

I have tried everything I can think, for several hours, and can not understand what the problem might be.

Any idea to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Norman,

Thank you for your constant perseverance on this issue.  I forgot my post here, until I received a notification today about your response to date.

Curiously, I "stumbled" upon the cause of the problem recently, and he had NOTHING to do with the printer or the MacBook Pro OS X (recently updated to Yosemite).

It turns out that the problem was in the PDF file that I was trying to print!  Periodically, I'll print PDFs to a particular Web site, and it is these PDF files - exclusively - who made the mistake of communication between the computer and the printer.  The problem with PDFs is unique to the Mac OS X, because I can print the exact same PDF files from my laptop running Windows without problem.

I have no idea what the "Bug" in the East of PDF files... probably never is, but given that I can do what I need to do with a Windows laptop, my problem is solved.

I contacted the Admin on the website where I was printing the PDF files they offer, to make them aware of the situation.

Thank you for your interest and your help!

  • HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw color multifunction does not print PDF files

I recently met a problem where my HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw color multifunction wouldn't print the PDF files.  I tried printing from a snippet, Adobe Reader, Word and PDF Pen Pro and the document will not print.  But the printer had no problem printing other formats like JPG, etc. DOCX from the same computer before and after.

What has happened is that the computer said he sent the document to the printer and the printer screen showed "Print Document" momentarily - but then the screen of the printer would return to the ready screen and the document will not print.  There are no indications that the printer was having a problem.

I reinstalled the drivers of HP - no change.

Finally, I was able to print the document open in Photoshop and save as a JPG file.

I am running OSX 10.9.2.  on a MacBook Pro.

When I went to add a printer, the only choice of HP, I got was 'HP LaserJet CM1415fnw @ Mac Book Pro' which is described as a generic PostScript printer.  It did not work when I tried to print a PDF file.

I then removed the printer and reinstalled it - and I see that in the last step of the installation, I had several choices.  The default choice is the print version of air, I chose the version that showed a printer HP Laserjet series CM1410.

    Problem solved.

  • HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Colo: HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw color multifunction printers just print a document by start up

I have my HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw color multifunction printer on my wireless network.  I am facing a problem when the printer is not recognized by my Mac.

According to me, that if I turn the printer on the computer can print one document if the document is sent immediately after the printer goes through the boot process.  If this isn't the case, I have to turn and turn it back on.  It will not print a second document without having to restart the printer.  Wireless to the printer lights up if the printer can be seen from the Mac or not. The drivers are up to date on my Mac.

Using a my iPad running IOS8, I see the same behavior.

My current solution is to configure a document to print, and then start the printer.

The printer is 8 feet away from my Airport Extreme wireless router.

    Hello

Have you tried to reboot your router? a router can go out of sync and transfer of packats, such multipcast will affect Apple devices you have described:

Once reboot your router by unplugging its power for a while (remember to restart from any access point if you can have multiple), then wait for 3 minutes and restart the printer.

    You can see any difference?

  • HP laserjet pro cm1415fnw don't scan error WIA.

We just got a hp laserjet pro cm1415fnw, he manages to print, but unfortunately it will not scan. We have set up to be wireless since it will be used by different users. When I run the HP printer and scan Dr. it is said that there is an error of WIA. I've tried uninstallin and reinstall all the drivers and software, as the recommended HPPSdr, nothing happened. I went in the forums and checked the services that should be running for the scan to work. All services have increased, but still it will not scan. I'm running out of options here with this device. If someone could please give me some advice on how to solve the problem of scanning, I will be extremely grateful.

    Hi @sil89,.

I understand that you are unable to scan, but you can print on the wireless network. I can help you.

You can scan from any of the other networked computers?

You are signed is an administrator of this computer?

The WIA drivers are part of the Windows operating system.

Do not take into account the title.

Proceed to Solution 3: check the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) services.

Temporarily, run Antivirus software and try to scan the image.

If the problem persists, download and try to repair the WIA drivers. If you don't feel able to do these steps, you can contact the computer manufacturer or Microsoft to solve the error WIA.

  • LaserJet Pro CM1415FNW calibrates frequently?

Hi my printer laserjet Pro CM1415FNW as frequently takes a few minutes to calibrate... like almost every day or a few days if I have not used the printer between the two. Is this normal? How frequent are the cycles of calibration?

    Hi Brakkar,

If you have not used the printer for a while, then it would be normal behavior for the printer do a calibration to ensure that you get the correct print quality. If the printer was calibrated every moment so that would be a problem. Calibration is used to help prevent the toner in cartridges packed down and to make sure that the printer is in perfect condition to complete the print work you send to the printer.

  • Help! Problem using HPSCAN.exe or the TWAIN for HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw driver using Windows 7

I used the HP Laserjet Pro cm1415fnw for over a year without problem.  When I first bought the unit, I was using a Dell with Windows XP desktop computer and connected to the printer via the USB port.  I was able to print and scan from my computer, even in applications that use the driver scan TWAIN such as Word, Acrobat, etc.

I've since upgraded to a HP slimline s5-1160 computer using Windows 7.  I installed the software my installation CD Laserjet is no problem.  The printer is connected to the computer by USB port.  I can continue to print without problem.  However, I am is no longer able to scan using the HP (HPscan.exe) software, or applications that use TWAIN scanning driver such as Word, Acrobat, etc.  When I try to do, it takes a lot of time before he asks me which scan TWAIN driver to select.  When I select the MFP from HP cm1410 series, the program hangs or returns to the State wherever it was before I tried to scan a picture in a document from the program.

I can scan however successfully using the Wizard Windows Scan / Fax or if I choose "Devices and printers" in the Start Menu and select 'Start scan' in the menu after right-clicking on the HP printer icon.  However this option restricts my use of the scanner - I can't scan to PDF and I can scan several pages in an OCR application.  I have to analyze on a JPG or TIF or PNG.

What to try to solve this problem, I did the following without success:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers and software complete (and using the most recent version on the HP site)
    2. Change ETIOU USB ports
    3. Run the HP scan diagnostic utility, which seems to show an error to the WIA, scanning stage and then recommend that I have uuninstall and reinstall the full software.  When I skip that and allow it to check for TWAIN scanning, it gives me a similar error, suggesting I use the latest version of the drivers (the driver that I use is v 3.0 dated 12/11/2009) so in this case the utility of diagnostic scanning HP provides NOT a fix for this problem other that uninstalling and reinstalling , which I did several times without success
    4. Contact HP support for the computer and the all-in-one (which as I understand it there's different support staff).  Staff of the printer claims it's a software problem and that the staff of the computer must be able to resolve the issue (something not having "launchpad" installed correctly.  When I communicate with the staff of the computer, they say it is a printer driver problem.  So I'm at a standstill
    5. I studied the HP support forums to see from this link - http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02661093 - if you can't scan from software HP you can use programs that rely on WIA (Windows Fax and Scan) drivers that I already know I can do it, but implies that HP doesn't have a solution to find out how to scan using their own software!

My gut tells me that he is one of those problems that many others perhaps, but for which there is no viable solution.  It is possible that during the uninstall and reinstall the software, remains can stay behind that prevent the proper functioning of the drivers, but without knowing how to "clean up" specifically those remains before you reinstall the software, I am at a loss.  Oh and by the way, I also tried using CCleaner and Norton Registry Cleaner to try to clean up these remains, but that effort did not help.

My question is basically this... or does anyone know of a fix for this problem should I resign myself to use the Wizard Windows Fax and Scan to scan documents and pictures, and forget about using TWAIN programs like HP seems to suggest?  I think that because I use a HP printer/scanner and a HP with Windows 7 computer, this problem should NOT be a problem!

  • How to change DPI Scanner for LaserJet Pro Cm1415fnw?

    Hello

I have a HP LaserJet Pro Cm1415fnw color multifunction and according to the technical details of the machine, it can scan up to 1200 dpi. However, when I insert my USB for scanning, the higher, the system allows me to scan is 300 dpi.

Anyone know how to adjust the settings to allow scanning at a higher dpi, please?

    Thank you.

    Hi CatzCradle,

I'm glad that you were able to find the desired settings.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to update this option at the front; However, a shortcut can be created within the scan dialog box.  This will keep the settings, then select the shortcut to the scanning interface, rather than setting up each time.  Also if you click on the app scan or the print from the desktop icon, rather than access programs (if icons are not on the desktop, right click the application in the folder to send a shortcut on the desktop).  If you want to learn more about your product, click here

    Steps to follow:

    1 open scan dialog box

    2. change all the settings as you wish

    3. Select create a link shortened under list of shortcuts

    4. name you like

    5. click on ok, the shortcut should appear in the list of shortcuts

    6. test functionality shortcut

    I hope that help!

  • LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw and firmware update

After installing the new firmware from LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw (series CM1410), I found new in Control Panel in Service. In the signature verification, I put the bad Cancel value, but in the RFU (upgrading firmware remotely) there is ignition values and closed and locked. What is the difference between 'Off' and 'closed and locked? Which should I choose?

I guess these new items are corrections regarding the vulnerability of the firmware upgrade was informed late last year?

    In this case, well done.

I asked one of our expert engineers FW and the response has been

"Withdrawal and means locked, it will not accept RFUs and the only way to change that works again via the control panel.  You cannot use SNMP to do.  If you have just off then someone can come and still change it via SNMP.  SNMP is a Standard Internet Protocol for the management of devices on IP networks. »
