Why is there no audio after importing video movie maker?

I also installed windows 7 and now I get also hear no sound when I import video with windows movie maker. I really hope this can be fixed.

Hello Baker,

Thanks for posting on the Community Forums of Microsoft Vista.

You can try to disable the restore default setting filters and check if you are able to get the audio when you try to create a movie in movie maker.

To restore the default settings, follow the steps below:

1. open Windows Movie maker

2. click on tools and then click Options.

3. click on the Compatibility tab.

4. to restore the default list, click on restore all the default values and click Ok.

When you restore the default settings, the list and the filters settings are given to the last known good setting.

Also if you have everything installed any third-party application to create movies try to uninstall it and check if you are able to view the movie in Windows Movie maker.

If the steps above do not work, try to disable the whole filter in Windows movie maker and check if it works.

To disable the filter follow the steps below:

1. open Windows Movie maker

2. click on tools and then click Options.

3. click on the Compatibility tab.

4. uncheck the box all the listed filter and click OK.

It will be useful.

Thank you and best regards,

Srinivas

I understand how to adjust the volume of my audio track, but when I save the file, in the sound adjustments are not saved.  Is there an extra step in the audio recording?

    Hi Gmamma,

Try the two methods mentioned below if you don't him have not yet tried and check if it works.

    Method 1

The audio settings by default in Windows Movie Maker is for the audio portion of imported video and any narration or music that you add to play at an equal level, but you can change that setting if it does not give you the balance that you want. To adjust the audio levels, follow these steps:

    (a) click Tools, and then click Audio levels.

    (b) do one of the following:

to increase the level of audio on the Audio track that is part of a video clip, drag the slider toward Audio from video.

II. to increase the level of audio that is located on the audio / music, drag the slider to Audio / Music.

    (c) click on close.

    Method 2

Adjust the volume of each audio clip individually, as follows:

    1. on the track Audio or Audio / Music of the timeline, select the audio clip that you want to adjust the volume.

    2. click on Clip, point to Audio, and then click Volume.

    3. to adjust the volume, do one of the following:

    ·        To reduce the volume, drag the Audio volume level slider to the left.

    ·        To increase the volume, drag the Audio volume level slider to the right.

    ·        To cut the video, select the Mute clip check box.

    ·        To restore the volume to the original volume, click reset.

  • Is it possible to JUST to play audio in windows live movie maker?

I want to edit some audio in the new movie maker, which is not nearly as good as when it comes to editing. My problem is that I can't get audio unless it is Visual, which really bothers me. Is it possible to just edit audio? I don't have any other live editing except for movie maker software. Unfortunately, I can't use the old movie maker because it's a straw - who is to import the types of files that he dislikes, such as VOB, MP4 and so on. Help, please!

There is a way to EXTRACT the audio from the video file. Not sure if it will work forthe publishing of music in a video.

I use Free Video Converter Mp3. Yes, it's free.
    http://www.DVDVideoSoft.com/guides/free-video-to-MP3-Converter.htm

I use it myself. It is very simple to use.
Basically just add the video file in the converter.
Find and select the folder where will be stored in the MP3.
Click on convert. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

Hello! I imported a video with audio from a DVD into Movie Maker XP. The audio of the original source is not very good and I was wondering if it is possible to adjust it in Movie Maker.

Movie Maker has the ability to adjust/change the audio? If so, how can I do that?

In Movie Maker, audio editing options are mute, melted

The volume... with a view to the timeline... right click on the Audio
follow and choose the Volume on the menu... and then drag the

  • Why, trying to ' save/burn DVD' in Windows Movie Maker 2011, Windows stops at 40% registered?

I carefully created a film that lasts 1 hour 19 minutes and consists of clips video, pictures always and the music with Windows Live Moviemaker 2011.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and think I have all the updates that are loaded.

When I try to "save/burn DVD", Windows starts the recording of the film process, and when she gets the 40% recorded point, Windows will stop.  What is the problem?

Large, complex projects, such as the one you created tend to
    be problematic.

There is a real possibility that you have included one or more
source (photos, video clips, music files) files that are either
corrupted or not completely compatible with Movie Maker / DVD Maker.

Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker but
    the most reliable choices are:
