Why is upgrade Windows 10 - not Dell Vostro 3550 on the list of Dell?

I found this list on the Dell site that tells you if they tested a particular model for its ability to be upgraded to Windows 10.   The Dell Vostro 3550 is not on the list of 20 Vostro models, some wearing low model numbers, some superiors.   They will never test it?

If you try to upgrade, windows 10 copies files and then in the 2nd of three main sections of the upgrade (where you have this big circle in the middle of the screen), it just goes to a blank screen and then ceases all activity of the disc, and it becomes well hung.   Of course, now the machine think operating system is win 10 and you cannot return to a recovery point 7 win.  If you lost all of your data and applications and restore the image and then install the windows 7 208 updates and it takes like 8 hours total.

Looks like a similar problem that people with Vostro ranging from win 7 to win 8.   Why not fix it.

Also, I fell into the same rabbit hole. But I realized quickly that it was a video problem and I hung on an alternative to the unit's LCD monitor... worked just fine, there has been able to do the update of bio and play with the drivers.

Why my Muse formatting does not disappear when I open the site in DW CS6? I need to change the PayPal shopping cart code to account for my shipping options. I exported the Muse test in a folder and then created a new Site in DW with the help of this file, so all CSS should be there, but I don't see on the page about the elements without formatting, any stop to the left. PS: Muse will be the most impressive program ever when they fix these bugs or drop because not every user will be paying through the nose for Business Catalyst. Grrrrrrrrr.

Best approach would be not to use the PayPal widget and instead copy and paste the PayPal code embedded in an object > object to insert the HTML in Muse. This way you can edit the HTML code to embed PayPal code from Muse and without having to modify the exported code.

  • Windows does not start. To get the message of partition\windows of rdisk.

Original title: cannot start Windows XP

    Hi there everyone,

The other day I uninstalled a few items that were cluttering up my old Dell Inspiron 6000 (Norton, Nero, etc.).
When I restarted the computer, it brings me to a screen that provides options
    -Safe Mode
-Safe Mode w / command prompt
    -Safe Mode w / networking
    -Last known good Config
    -Start Windows normally
No matter which I choose, the computer crashes.
If I take all the options mode without failure of the text appears below in regards to the multi discs rdisk partition\windows... and then a few .dll, .nls and .sys files.
I tried to boot from a backup disk, but does not (I changed the BIOS settings to boot from the disc), but it always brings me to the command prompt and nothing works from there. I wonder if the startup disk is funked up? I have XP on a desktop home computer so maybe I should do another startup disc and try again?
I tried to work my way through some of the KB articles on the site (via the command prompt sys restore failed).
I hope I've provided enough information and I would be very grateful of any help.
    Thank you

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

As the title suggests, I can look perfectly fine and find EVERYTHING in a folder with even the most detailed search operators, but only if I index the file. I had the same problem with Windows 7 as well and I don't know how to get around this problem. I think it may have something to do with the case in question is on an external drive but I still don't understand why this is the case. Indexing is supposed to make the search faster for a specific folder, but no matter what I do, Indexing always brings Vista only returning "no matches" for each search query. If I was of the same type in one letter, he found nothing.

    Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Windows 7 not seeing computer XP on the WORKING group

OK so I have 3 computers at home using three different versions of Windows:

    Desktop computer - XP

    • This computer is connected to the internet via a cable modem. The cable modem has a router NETGEAR Wireless in tandem.
    • This computer can see portable #1 and portable #2 in the WORKING group.

    #1 - Vista laptop

    • This computer uses its wireless card to connect to the network.
    • This computer can see Desktop and Laptop #2 in the WORKING group.

    #2 - Windows 7 laptop

    • This computer uses its wireless card to connect to the network.
    • This computer can see portable #2, but can NOT see of desktop (running XP).

All computers are in the WORKING group. I have the Windows Firewall on all three. For the life of me I can't understand why Windows 7 does not see the XP computer. Windows 7 has been updated with the network discovery and public folder sharing (explaining why the other two computers can see it).

    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Hi GVaron,

Change the settings of firewall on Windows 7 computer and check to see if that allows you to view the Windows XP computer.

Also, follow the article given below to check the networking between the different versions on Windows.

  • No product key for Windows 7 Ultimate on laptop second hand. Windows 8 not compatible. What are the options?

A friend of mine bought a computer with Windows 7 Ultimate laptop second hand on it and it has not been activated, and it is not a product key (even the old one is worn and unreadable). It was originally a XP system and it cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 because it is not compatible. Is it possible that he could buy a product key so that it is activated and genuine? I don't want him to enter in some affliction, and I feel partly responsible because I was the one who told him to do and was not with him to look over the first! I feel really bad, because it doesn't have a lot of money and I should have been there when it was sold. I have a Windows 7 professional full version box, but I really need for my own system. Are there any alternatives? Please give me some GOOD news because I feel really rotten over this. ) :

    Thank you

    BAT

The only alternative would be to buy a license Windows 7 Ultimate full version or a version complete edition cheaper such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and make a custom installation:

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

Apart from that, the only other option would be to contact the computer manufacturer for a Windows XP Recovery disk. Which I doubt they still provide.

  • Why Panel does not KeyBar 1.8 from the list toolbar?

Remove knob remove not toolbar KeyBar 1.8 in Control Panel.

    Hi Frank,

    1. what happens when you try to uninstall the program?

    2. do you get an error message?

    3. are you able to work with the specific program?

The list of currently installed programs in the Add / Remove Programs lists all compatible Windows programs that have a program Uninstall or feature. Sometimes, a program may not be removed completely, and remains the registry key that is used to display the program in the currently installed programs list. In this case, you may need to manually remove the program in the currently installed programs list in Add / Remove programs.

You can try the Fixit and if it fails, you can proceed to method 2.

    Method 1:

You can run the Fixit and follow the steps:

    Reference:

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

    a. click on "accept".
    b. Select 'detect problems and apply the patches for me.
    c. Select "Uninstall."

    d. Select the program from the list and try to uninstall it.

    Now search for the question.

    Method 2:

How to manually remove programs from the add tool / remove programs

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314481

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    No, you can't.

If you have a true bootable XP with SP1 or SP2 installation CD, you can create a new installation CD with SP3 integrated using a process called "slipstreaming".

It is a pleasure to the project for a day and there are several methods, you can read on the Internet, such as BleepingComputer:
