  When I 'Bookmark this Page' while watching a localhost/~username/target.html file, the current bookmark is initially correct, but then changes to a long Google search, I did a week ago.   For one reason or another, the Windows 10 taskbar is not displayed on the top of the Firefox browser windows/pages. He remains at the top in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.   If Firefox is in display full screen, that allows to block the taskbar. You can switch from full screen to normal display using either:

  • F11
  • Drag the pointer of the mouse to the top of the screen, right-click on an empty area of the bar tab, then exit fullscreen

  If this is not it, sometimes the file that stores the dimensions of the window becomes corrupt with nonsense values. Since the file is difficult to edit, you can rename and have Firefox back to windows default sizes.

  Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

  In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

  Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

  Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

  Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

  This process may disable some of the bars that you want to display. To enable their return, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

  • Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
  • Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
  • in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)

  I have a program to create images of backup of my hard drive.   Without a rescue boot disk, the image is useless.    I want to be able to retrieve my whole hard drive in the event of a disaster, not only my documents and files.   I don't want if sit and wait for SP2 to retrieve all published updates.  That could take days.  Macrium Reflect is a free software that allows you to do exactly that, the problem is, Vista is locked, I have to pay for the version that has the PE file that will allow me to create my rescue CD.   I can respect the fact that you don't want other software distributors using Microsoft property without paying, but I already paid for Vista.  What other programs Ichose to run with him should not be hindered by the latter.  Windows XP it didn't need, and these people are happy as clams.  Me. I'm not such a happy camper.  Vista was not one of the best products from Microsoft and I'm about to go back to XP, or jump up to Windows 7.   Vista was nothing more than a prolonged headache.

  You paid for an OEM license of the manufacturer of the computer; not a Microsoft retail license...

  It is up to the manufacturer of the computer, what they have on their recovery disks.

  They only have to provide you with the means to reinstall Vista to factory settings; what they are doing.

  They provide an easy way for computer users to recover and as soon as POSSIBLE running.

  It is a good alternative:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  Looks like they finally leave the valves on that. My Google for the keyword 7.6.7600.256 alerts has been non-stop for the last 24 hours. All my systems to update recently.
