Why Lightroom does not have "save under"?

Often, when you change a single image, "save under" would be more useful, instead of export, which is much more complex to use you have to change the destination one other things.

Thank you

Not sure if I understand what you want to do, but...

The changes you make in LR are automatically saved in the catalog, and you can close the program, start it again and continue where you left off.

You can then see your previous changes in the history panel. There is therefore no need (or ability) to save the image.

If you need an image for a spesific purpose, use of export.

Why apple does not have a Dual SIM iphone?

I have 2 numbers and one of the members of my family has 4 digits. We both prefer to have an iphone with a Dual-SIM and member of my family would rather have 2 iphones with dual sim each, rather than an iphone and 3 different phones.

In other words, it would be easier and much better than holding an iphone and another phone for several numbers.

Is it possible that Apple plans to make iphones Dual SIM?

  • Why Apple does not have a backup battery for Apple devices?

Why Apple does not have a backup battery for Apple device? Recommended us that of our full when we are on the road, so they should do a backup battery for their devices instead of other companies do. The backup battery that I use for my iPhone 5 c don't let my phone screen timeout as he does when I'm with the regular wall charger. Can anyone help?

Consult the manual for your backup battery.  There should be a switch or a button to activate the phone load.  It should not be left in charge mode all the time because the phone thinks it has unlimited power when charging, so disabled several energy-saving features (like display sleep, closing a connection Wi - Fi when he sleeps).

Why Motorola does not have hands-free box?

I have all kinds of helmets that work very well.

As to why the bike not turned in the box - I would say that most people do not use them. You may disagree, and perhaps it is regional. But looking around the United States and the European Union, most of the people with cell phones do not use wired headphones. And the few people I know that do, tend to buy a different brand of what is in the box.

In the United States, you can get them in many stores for less then $10 for Motorola is saving most of us who do not use wired headphones. I have a set that runs in my backpack as a backup, but I always forget it's there and use the phone without it.

    Eugen

DJ, the version number is in the subject line: 5.7.1. It's weird because this version should support the D5300 very well. My main guess would be a bad player or a bad USB cable.

Eugen, you can try plug the camera directly and download the images like this?

  • Why lightroom does not recognize my DSLR files

I get the message "the following files were imported not because they could not be read" then invites me to "save under".

and all the nave as jpg files is rejected Lightroom import! It's very frustrating as adobe support, after a few days of trying, finally able to get lightroom 6 is installed correctly

the map is not corrupted, I'm easily able to import in lightroom on my imac 4

Make sure that you have full read/write permission in the destination folder. That is to say the file to import. The message saying that cannot be read in fact means cannot be written! Good luck

  • Why Canon does not have old adapters for my SLR camera lenses? I can get them with Sony, but not for Canon

I have an old Canon Ftb with a goal of 1.4 fd. I'm getting into digital cameras now (just to have a 12 G for now, mainly used for underwater photography). I would like to stay with Canon, but I'm very annoyed that Canon doesn't have a way to continue to use their old lenses. Nikon, for all their flaws are much better at you can continue to use your old stuff.

Then I find that if I'm going to Sony (Yes, really, Sony) can I use my lenses from Canon ol via an adapter. This my Canon, tell me it ain't so. You must have a way, I just have not yet discovered.

There are many challenges with this and the "adapters" are to be considered with a certain scepticism.

The FD lenses are mechanical - no electronics.  The case of the unit, on the other hand, has an electronic interface for the lens - nothing of mechanics.   This means that if you set the goal, you would have to manually set the aperture but also of manual focus of the lens.

Your Canon DSLR had a split Prism focusing in the viewfinder to help.  A new camera does not work.  The reason why there is no help from the development is because most of the lenses are autofocus so it is simply not necessary.  This makes it particularly difficult to tell when you've worn exactly the goal.  Making it even more difficult is that any device with a sensor size of APS - C (most of them) have a small viewfinder that you had on your Canon SLR photography.

In addition, the lenses are optimized for a specific back focus distance.  Canon's EOS cameras have a depth of 44 m from the mounting flange of lens at the front of the body at the level of development within the body.  When you use an adapter, it modifies that distance.  If you change too much, the lens behaves as if it is mounted with extension tubes, the entire range of focus is moved closer to the camera, and it can be is no longer able to focus to infinity.

There are 3 parties that make these lenses... conversion kits but they do them for a few drinks (not all) and that they require a bit of surgery on the goal (e.g. this level which protrudes beyond the rear of the lens used to set the aperture value should go).

But... the modern lenses are just so much better than the old FD lenses.   Requires really quite the dozen FD lens to make it interesting this fuss.  Also, I own a Canon SLR (AE-1) and a few glasses of FD... but have no interest in trying to use one of these lenses on my EOS DSLR cameras.

I think that this question almost as Ford asking why they do not wheel adapters let wheels it T model mount on a Mustang of 2015.  The new wheels are so much better than the old wheels, you want to continue to use the old wheels.

Leave your old lenses in the past.  Mine are on the shelf alongside my AE-1... body as a conversation piece.  I don't actually use them.

  • Lightroom does not have my new external SSD

I'm running a Mac pro with LR cc 2016. I bought a Samsung 1 TB disk so that I could keep all my photos on a dedicated disk. LR does not see the disk, it is not on the Panel on the left. LR sees all my other drives. However, if I click on the import button, LR sees the SSD and the pictures on the disc.  I reformatted the drive from its location the BONES FAT factoy journaled, but this did not help.

Any suggestions as to how I can get LR to see this drive?

Are the images that you have on the new SSD drive images that have been copied to other readers? If this is the case, then make a right click on a folder that points to the images on the old disk and choose update the location of the file and point Lightroom to the new SSD. If it is another type of problem, please explain.

  • Why Lightroom does not change the creation date of the file? (Mac OS)

I find that Lightroom changes the creation of files present during the incorporation of metadata. I noticed that this behavior is different from the bridge, which reaches to write metadata changes to the file without affecting the creation date, affecting only the modification date.

I read in other threads that it doesn't matter when even because moving files between disks will write a new file and, therefore, a new date of creation, but if this can be true in some systems (I don't know) is certainly not the case with Mac OS. For example, I have files dating back at least 1998 which have been moved from disc to disc to disc but still retain their original creation date. Which is as it should be. For many of my older images, there seems to be no capture embedded recognizable don't date anyway, so the creation date of the file is the single timestamp.

It seems quite logical that the modified date of a file must be updated to take into account that the file has been modified (for example if adding metadata), but it seems to make sense that the date of creation of the file should be kept as the date, this file has been created. Changing them both on the same date seems to be a needless loss of information.

Some would say that the process of adding metadata to a file creates a new file, the creation date must be updated to reflect this. But I would say that the creation date should be which would include a normal user as the creation date. We do not expect the creation date to change everything simply because a file is rewritten to the disk (for example when the defragmentation), however technically accurate, it would be to say that it is a newly created file. And the difference in behavior between Bridge and Lightroom shows that there is some confusion on this subject.

Photo software ignores generally the operating system created by file-modification dates, and when he is not ignoring them, treated generally in a non-standard way that varies from one program to a program.  Rather than rely on the dates of the files of the operating system, the photo industry has defined fields of metadata with all sorts of specific photos dates: capture date/time (when the shutter button is depressed), date/time of scanning (when a movie or a print image was scanned digitally), date/time software photo altered image or metadata date/time of GPS location.   While some photo software will attempt to maintain the dates of file-created and - updated, many programs and services Web will not (including, but not limited to, LR).  In addition, many utilities files not always to preserve created and set dates to day that you move, copy it, backup and restore files.

Therefore, I highly recommend that if you care photo dates and times (as I do), so no matter which photo software you use, you store the dates of capture in pictures industry standard metadata by using the tools provided by LR and other photo software.   In this way, you migrate the program to the program over the years, are you more likely to preserve that important metadata.

Old photos and scans without that metadata, when you first import into LR, LR will assume that the capture time is the hour of the modified file.  LR to rewrite the date of capture of metadata in the file by selecting and making the metadata you can do > edit Capture time, clicking OK and then by metadata > save metadata to file. You can do it in batch - choose all your old photos and make metadata > edit Capture time, click OK, to metadata > save metadata to file.  LR will affect its time updated each file capture time.   If you want to set the time captured in the file create time, select this option in the window change the Capture time before clicking OK.  But beware that many Windows and Mac file utilities cannot preserve create time, even if they retain changed time, in order to create your files time can be wrong.   And of course, make sure that your backups are up to date and valid before making any new procedure file with which you aren't familiar.

But if you really want to use non-standard file dates to keep your metadata information, and you want Adobe to modify accordingly the LR, so please give your opinion and vote on it in the Adobe official feedback forum: Bug report: Lightroom modifies the image files creation date. This forum is a user forum in which is rarely involved Adobe, Adobe said they read every post in the forum comments (and sometimes they respond).

  • Why Thunderbird does not automatically save attachments without me opening an email?

I can get 200 emails in a single day, with attachments I have to deal with. At present, the only option for me, in Thunderbird, is to display each email and click on the attachment. If you have already tried to do 200 times in a few minutes, you will understand that it is not a good solution. Eudora, I was using before using Thunderbird, but that is old and has problems to run correctly with the latest versions of Windows automatically saves all attachments in a specific directory.

Can we please have as an option selected by the user, automatic, saving all attachments in a directory specified by the user? Those who do not need should not use it; those of us who need it will be saved a lot of time and effort.

You must specify the folder in the filter creation window, as in the picture (click the folder "select a file" icon). First of all, make sure that Save or detach attachments are enabled in the Options of FiltaQuilla.

  • Why Lightroom does not change its levels in HDR images into something that isn't really there

IM merging some HDR photos. I decided to exclude from the exhibition '0' to only use of exhibitions for the sky of the Tower out of the black. To my surprise, when the merger HDR Lightroom auto correct levels photos so he's dating the Tower more or less correctly exposed. (In the picture below Ive chose to merge the two showed pictures to really show the question) Why It do this? Are there HDR presets can I change not to let lightroom auto correct anything more than a simple merge whats in front of her? I guess that's the same problem that appears when merging images where Lightroom will eventually rise to the level of the shadow for the photo comes out extremely noisy. How do fix it?

You must disable "invigorating Automatisk. Otherwise, LR will try to correct the photos to the same lighting.

  • Device does not have save all pictures

Hi, I'm new here and so exhausted by the search for answers... Please forgive me if this is a stupid or already answered question before!

I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3i.   I have NEVER had a problem with it in 2, 5-3 years I got it.  Today, while at a football match, I noticed the photos were not in the back room for more than a few moments, then transformed into question marks.    Camera was not hot in the Sun... I'm totally confused (where THE USER NAME!)

Flew out of the SD card in my computer at home... images are not displayed... There is a file... but no picture.  HOW?

I took pictures with it since I got home... they show very well.

What may have caused this?   Is there a way to recover these 530 photos I lost?

Before you answer 'search in your manual' I don't have and can't find anything else online!

Your help is GREATLY appreciated.  I don't want to lose these pictures of my child's play.

Your manual is available in PDF format on the Canon website. The T3i is still manufactured and sold, so you can find it in the display of their current product line.

Your problem resembles a corrupted memory card. Recovery software may be able to recover some of your photos in return, but be sure not to use or format that card until you have tried an amd of recovery either successful or abandoned. Write something on the map will just make the situation worse.
