Why mandatory columns of the Base tables and interface are different?

Hi guys, I support provider in PA (ap_suppliers) thanks to the Interface table (ap_suppliers_int), but my confusion is that ap_suppliers have 8 required columns, but its interface ap_suppliers_int have only 2 column.why? mandatory and also with these 2 columns also load records.

Kind regards
Shakeel khan

Yes sometimes it is and also depends on the current configuration of oracle. Some of the fields are automatically generated.

sometimes better to analyze the package to interface and then use the interface programs.

Thank you
Kiran

  • Columns of the nested Table and ADF BC 11.1.2

    I think coming to a new conception of the application, including a redesign of the database. In this application, there are users who cannot change tables of production directly, but their amendments must be approved (and possibly modified) before applying them to production tables. The production tables are part of an existing system and are fairly well standardized, with a main table and several paintings of detail.

    So for the new design, I want to have a table intermediate, mirrored in the main table, where the user's changes are stored until they are approved and applied to the production tables. The intermediate table contains some additional columns for the user "add, change or delete", who supported the change, the date modified is requested. After you apply the change, the intermediate folder must be copied in a historic change and deleted from the staging table. In this way, the intermediate table is never a lot of data in it.

    Here's the question:
    I need to treat the tables in detail. I could have staged versions of each table in detail, but I thought it might be easier to manage if detail tables have been included in table nested table columns main staging area. Most of the detail tables contain only a few rows with rank of master. But ADF BC 11.1.2 can treat the nested table columns? Is it easy to use in an application?

    Hello

    and ADF Faces does support nested tables? lol so even if ADF BC would be, where would you go with this approach? Polymorphic views would be an option (think hard)?

  • Question: Is foreign key references to a different column in the same table

    Hello

    I'm not grasp this concept. Would you be able to provide the logic how and why you need to create a foreign key that references a column of the same table?

    For example, referencing the schema, SupervisorNo @ here is a FOREIGN KEY to the "EmpNo" column in the same table.

    EMPLOYEE (EmpNo, title, Fname, Lname, phone, Email, date of birth, sex, salary, HireDate, OutNo, SupervisorNo @)

    Why would you want to do this and how can it be used? If you are filling out the data in the table, and this constraint is enabled, you will not be able to load whatever it is because the "EmpNo" column will be empty.

    Any input you can provide me with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Self-referential integrity constraints

    Lets say that we have the table emp with emp_no and mgr_no columns.

    Now all managers should also be an employee too. How can I check this when inserting data into this table? I applied auto integrity constraint. It would help me to make sure no handler (doesn't mean no mgr_no) must be registered if this Manager is not an employee of this organization. Which means, I won't be able to enter any mgr_no in the column until and unless that the same employee also is an employee (emp_no from the same table).

  • Logical Informatica for the Balance_Global1_Amt column in the W_GL_BALANCE_F table.

    Can someone help me with the following scenario?

    I get no data in the column Balance_Global1_Amt in the W_GL_BALANCE_F table.
    Can someone help me to identify the logic that I'm not able to understand the logic in the transformations of the SDE_PSFT_ExchangeRateDimension in informatica mapping.

    Thank you
    Nikki.

    Hi Nikki,

    You have configured global currencies in accordance with the documentation? :-

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E20490_01/BIA.7963/e19039/anyimp_oracle_apps.htm#BABJJJHF

    SIL mapping SIL_GLBalanceFact fills the fact table and the columns of the world currency. Exchange rates are sought after in the W_EXCH_RATE_G table; global rate types and codes of currencies are populated from the DAC settings in the W_GLOBAL_CURR_G table. For E-Business Suite warehouse exchange rate table is filled by the ETL standard. I'm not sure of PeopleSoft, so you will need to check the SDE mappings. If it is not met, you will need to create a mapping to fill it with the required necessary exchange rates to create global amounts and set the parameters of the DAC (in accordance with the section above) accordingly. If the DAC parameters have not been set or table W_EXCH_RATE_G is not met, then this explains why you get NULL values in the columns of your amount overall.

    I recommend that you look at the SIL_GLBalanceFact, especially the mapplet MPLT_CURCY_CONVERSION_RATES1 mapping. It is important that you understand what is happening in these objects to see how the global exchange columns are being filled. W_EXCH_RATE_G is used for the exchange rate for a given currency and date, then you must also make sure that the exchange rates exist in this table for all dates in the given operation.

  • Select values from the db1 table and insert into the DB2 table

    Hello

    I have three databases oracle running in three different machines. their ip address is different. among the DB can access databases. (means am able to select values and insert values into tables individually.)

    I need to extract data from the DB1 table (ip say DB1 is 10.10.10.10 and the user is DB1user and the table is DB1user_table) and insert the values into DB2 table (say ip DB2 is 11.11.11.11 and the user is DB2user and table DB2user_table) of DB3 that is to have access to the two IPs DB.

    How do I do this

    Edited by: Aemunathan on February 10, 2010 23:12

    Depending on the amount of data must be moved between DB1 and DB2, and the frequency at which this should happen, you might consider the SQL * COPY more control. I think it's very useful for one-off tasks little, so I can live within its limits of the data type. More http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10823/apb.htm#i641251.

    Change some parameter of sqlplus session are almost mandatory in order to get decent transfer rates. Tuning ARRAYSIZE and COPYCOMMIT can make a huge difference in flow. LONG change may be necessary, too, depending on your data. The documentation offers these notes on use:

    To activate the copy of data between Oracle and databases non-Oracle, NUMBER of columns is replaced by DECIMAL columns in the destination table. Therefore, if you are copying between Oracle databases, a NUMBER column with no precision will become a DECIMAL column (38). When copying between Oracle databases, you must use SQL commands (CREATE TABLE AS and INSERTION), or you must make sure that your columns have a specified precision.

    SQL * the VALUE LONGER variable limits the length of the LONG column you are copying. If all LONG columns contain data exceeds the value of LONG, COPY truncates the data.

    SQL * Plus performs a validation at the end of each successful COPY. If you set the SQL * variable more COPYCOMMIT DEFINED to a value positive n, SQL * Plus performs a validation after copying all lots n of records. The SQL * Plus ARRAYSIZE variable SET determines the size of a batch.

    Some operating environments require that the service names be placed between double quotes.

    From a SQL * Plus term on DB3, can resemble the command to move all content from my_table in DB1 to the same table in DB2

    COPY from user1/pass1@DB1 to user2/pass2@DB2 -
    INSERT INTO my_table -
    USING select * from my_table

    Note the SQL code * more line-continuation character ' - '. It is used to escape the newline character in a SQL * Plus command if you do not have to type all on one line. I use it all the time with this command, but I can't locate the documentation on that right now. Maybe someone else can put their finger on it.

    There are other ways to accomplish what the command copy and it is not without its quirks and limitations, but I find that there is usefulness in an Oracle Toolbox.

  • How to compare the length of the data to a staging table with the definition of the base table

    Hello
    I have two tables: staging of the table and the base table.
    I get flatfiles data in the staging of the table, depending on the structure of the requirement of staging of the table and the base table (length of each column in the staging table is 25% more data dump without errors) are different for ex: If we have the city long varchar 40 column in table staging there 25 in the base table. Once data are discharged into the intermediate table that I want to compare the actual length of the data for each column in the staging table with the database table definition (data_length for each column of all_tab_columns) and if no column is different length that I need to update the corresponding line in the intermediate table which also has an indicator called err_length.

    so for that I use the cursor c1 is select length (a.id), length (b.SID) of staging_table;
    c2 (name varchar2) cursor is select data_length all_tab_columns where table_name = 'BASE_TABLE' and column_name = name;
    But we get atonce data in the first query while the second slider, I need to get for each column and then compare with the first?
    Can someone tell me how to get the desired results?

    Thank you
    Manoi.

    Hey, Marco.

    Of course, you can set src.err_length in the USING clause (where you can reference all_tab_columns) and use this value in the SET clause.
    It is:

    MERGE INTO  staging_table   dst
    USING  (
           WITH     got_lengths     AS
                     (
              SELECT MAX (CASE WHEN column_name = 'ENAME' THEN data_length END) AS ename_len
              ,     MAX (CASE WHEN column_name = 'JOB'   THEN data_length END)     AS job_len
              FROM     all_tab_columns
              WHERE     owner          = 'SCOTT'
              AND     table_name     = 'EMP'
              )
         SELECT     s.ename
         ,     s.job
         ,     CASE WHEN LENGTH (s.ename) > l.ename_len THEN 'ENAME ' END     ||
              CASE WHEN LENGTH (s.job)   > l.job_len   THEN 'JOB '   END     AS err_length
         FROM     staging_table     s
         JOIN     got_lengths     l     ON     LENGTH (s.ename)     > l.ename_len
                             OR     LENGTH (s.job)          > l.job_len
         )     src
    ON     (src.ename     = dst.ename)
    WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE
         SET     dst.err_length     = src.err_length
    ;

    As you can see, you have to hardcode the names of the columns common to several places. I swam () to simplify that, but I found an interesting (at least for me) alternative grouping function involving the STRAGG user_defined.
    As you can see, only the subquery USING is changed.

    MERGE INTO  staging_table   dst
    USING  (
           SELECT       s.ename
           ,       s.job
           ,       STRAGG (l.column_name)     AS err_length
           FROM       staging_table          s
           JOIN       all_tab_columns     l
          ON       l.data_length  < LENGTH ( CASE  l.column_name
                                              WHEN  'ENAME'
                                    THEN      ename
                                    WHEN  'JOB'
                                    THEN      job
                                       END
                               )
           WHERE     l.owner      = 'SCOTT'
           AND      l.table_name     = 'EMP'
           AND      l.data_type     = 'VARCHAR2'
           GROUP BY      s.ename
           ,           s.job
           )     src
    ON     (src.ename     = dst.ename)
    WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE
         SET     dst.err_length     = src.err_length
    ;

    Instead of the user-defined STRAGG (that you can copy from AskTom), you can also use the undocumented, or from Oracle 11.2, WM_CONCAT LISTAGG built-in function.

  • reason for updating a view rather than on the base table

    Can someone tell me what is the reasons that sometimes we would update a view rather than on the base table? I always thought that we cannot update a view, of course, I am wrong. Thank you

    Hi Welcome to the Forum

    Basically, a view is used to present the data, a different way. He can rely on more than one table and we cannot update a
    Discover directly that contains Sql functions, aggregate functions, a group of Clause and a view created excluding the required columns of the table.

  • When the id program in the base table will be updated?

    Hello

    I have a trigger on the table mtl_system_items_b that fires events when a record is created / updated. I need to create a program that will update the records in the table, but at the same time, it will not trigger trigger events for the updated records. My plan is to use the program_id column in the MSIB table to check if the particular update is done by the new program. Now, the question is, what happens if the same record is updated by any user front end (after the execution of the program)? It will update the program to something else id so that the trigger fires the event? If this isn't the case, then how can I limit the trigger for these recordings?

    We can disable the trigger during execution of the program, but that we will lose some updates made by users on other records.

    Thanks in advance... !!

    Devendra

    Hi Devendra,

    When someone updates the same record on before the id program also updates.

    Solution because it would be too write a when clause to your relaxation. Something like below

    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER

    after insert/update

    REFERRING AGAIN AS NINE OLD AND OLD

    FOR EACH LINE

    Where (NEW.program_id = )

    DECLARE

    end;

    hope this helps you.

    Kind regards

  • Make a column based on another value of the column in the same table

    JDev 11.1.1.6.0

    It may be a silly question but I'm stuck

    I need to conditionally return a column that said Condition is as if the value in the other column of the same table B is equal to F. I should make A column only when this condition is met. I tried the following code:

    < af:column sortProperty = "PhoneNumber1."
    sortable = "false".
    headerText = "#{bindings." A.hints.PhoneNumber1.label}.
    ID = "c146.
    rendering = "#{rank." PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag eq 'F'} ">"
    < af:outputText value = "#{rank." PhoneNumber1}.
    ID = "ot130" / >
    < / af:column >
    < af:column sortProperty = "PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag."
    sortable = "false".
    headerText = "#{bindings." B.hints.PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag.label}.
    ID = "c80" rendered = "true" >
    < af:outputText value = "#{rank." PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag}.
    ID = "ot129" / >
    < / af:column >

    The data presented in the table for the PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag column are F. Still my condition does not work.

    Well, I've finally sorted it myself by managed bean.

    Here are the steps I followed:

    1. Wrote a new bean managed.
    2. Added a Boolean variable called flag and made to true when the "'PhoneNumber1ResponseFlag ' current line attribute is equal to F."
    3. Changing the property made column on this indicator.

    My current request is as

    Select distinct Curepress, lastpcirim, typeidcontainer

    BETMASTER STD left join INF BETINFO

    on the trim (STD. CUREPRESS) = substr (trim (INF. CURRENTPRESS), 1, 3)

    but I am unable to get the values separated by commas.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mahesh.

    Hi, Mahesh,

    If you want to only 1 row of output for each distinct combination of currentpress and lastpcirim?  This sounds like a job for GROUP BY.

    And you want the row to contain a list of all different typidcontainers-delimited?  This sounds like a job for the aggregate LISTAGG function.

    WITH joined_data AS

    (

    SELECT DISTINCT

    MST.curepress, mst.lastpcirim, inf.typeidcontainer

    OF betmaster STD

    LEFT JOIN betinfo ON TRIM (mst.curepress) inf = SUBSTR (TRIM (inf.currentpress)

    1

    3

    )

    )

    SELECT curepress, lastpcirim

    LISTAGG (typeidcontainer, ',')

    THE Group (ORDER BY typeidcontainer) AS container_list

    OF joined_data

    Curepress GROUP, lastpcirim

    ;

    Unfortunately, you can't say LISTAGG (DISTINCT ...), so you should always get the separate containers how you already are.  (Note that the subquery is just what you posted).

    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements; It is very useful.  Don't forget to tell what version of Oracle you are using.  LISTAGG was new in Oracle 11.2.

    Why not add CHECK constraints (and perhaps triggers) to your tables, so that curepress and currentpress are not stored with the head or trailing spaces?  Then you wouldn't need to use the PAD in queries like this, and your code would be simpler and more effective.
