• Why MIcrosoft solves the questions updated to VISTA so Quicktouch will work on HP computers?

  Several users have problems with Quicktouch after installation of Vista updates.  I'm one of them.  I tried all the usual fixes, including using Microsoft Fixit but in vain.  If it was the computer I could not complain, but others have different brands and same story.  According to their feedback that Microsoft has been almost useless to solve the problem even if Vista is the cause.  I want answers because I'm so frustrated that I am ready to spend many years of being a PC for the competition.   So please let me know if there is a resolution on the path or if I should start looking for a new computer with the best software.  Thank you.

  You might want to try this suggestion from Umar on another forum:
  perform a system recovery OR shut down the computer, unplug the adapter, remove the battery and press the POWER button for abt 45 seconds, THEN reinsert the dough and all and start the computer.

  Not sure if it will work, but it might be interesting to try.

  It had to do with the folder on the server. The Options menu after I clicked on publish showed a certain folder, and told me that I should just leave this entry blank. That seems to make the difference.

  Strange (or maybe not) thing is I saw Scott Kelby working on a raw photo in Lightroom Develop module, change the saturation, saying that he would add some extra saturation in Photoshop. In Photoshop it has not added in the layer with the cab. I thought that on top of the information developed would give a worse effect than to do what you can on the raw information. Or maybe I don't really understand this work with raw information about different software tools.

  Which leads to my misunderstanding is dat a statement said Adobe you can open a photo raw as a smart object in Photoshop and then work on the layer in ACR. She did not notify startup of Lightroom to develop, while the development mode is the same as ACR. Especially convenient for saying that, because there seems to be a difference: in Lightroom, you work on the original raw and in Photoshop as a smart object, you work on a copy of the flood. Which is not really true, because in Lightroom raw alwas remains raw with information above it. Then with the answer of you from twenty_one the only reason to work with the cab would you want a copy of the raw photo in your Photoshop project with the choice of its own development.

  Now ill try to find more information on the differences between the crus, demosaicing (probably misspeld) in different ways and the differences in work on the original raws, developed the raws/naves, TIFF and jpg.

  By dragging from the photo browser to the computer desktop still works for me.  As soon as I drag to an empty space on the desktop the pointer turns into a green '+' and I can put the photo.

  If it does not work for you, there could be something problematic about the photos you want to drag.  Photos can be edited or exported? What is the file type of the photos you are trying to drag-and - drop?

  With all the hype about "the end of XP" I wonder how long Vista will continue to be updated with the Microsoft security updates?   Sorry, you have problems getting your patches installed. I have a number of things for you to look at.  First of all, are your Windows Update and the Background Intelligent Transer Services set to Automaticand started . You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

  Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually.

  (1) Download Center to visit Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.
  (2) search for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB979309).
  3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run.  You must accept the agreement of contract and then click on continue.
  (4) repeat this process for each download of updates Windows could not install.
  (5) to rerun the update from Microsoft, click find updates.  If all goes well, it will show that you are completely patched.

  If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or erase viruses can prevent the installation of patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm.
