• RoboHelp is changing the case of my HTML files

  RoboHelp is changing the case of my HTML files. File is mixed the original case, but when the file is changed and saved then, RoboHelp changes the name to lowercase. We use X.5.0.2, HTML help, no control of source code and we are not generating (compiling) files. Apparently not an option to make the RoboHelp to stop doing this. If anyone has had this problem and know how to fix?

  I tried the scenario 1 in the document that Phil sent me three files, UPPERCASE. HTM. MixedCase.htm and lowercase.htm.

  In X 5, they are in fact all converted to lowercase. I haven't spotted that before because I tend to work with even when lowercase file names.

  I repeated the test in RH6. While the dialog box telling you which was imported presents all the three files whose names in lowercase, Windows Explorer and the list of topics keeps the case. Looks like a bug that was fixed half! At least, you end up with what you want.

  At your breakpoints of the site? If so, the images are optimized and exported breakpointwise.

  If you use effects, which introduce transparency, Muse needs to convert a jpg in PNG because JPG doesn't support transparency.

• Home page at the bottom instead of top of page

  Before upgrading to Firefox 12 when I opened it it showed my homepage (excites) showing the top of the page, after which I want to scroll down. Now, it opens at the bottom of the page and I have to scroll up to start at the top. I'm on an iMac.

  These issues can be caused by the blocking of the websites via a host file.

• How can I scan multiple pages in the ADF to a pdf file?

  I have wireless scan documents of several double-sided pages, 37 pages generally, using an ADF (automatic document feeder) of my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g to my MacBook Pro. The scanner works well except it tries to save files as files separated from 37 and neither she nor the MacBook is running out of memory as it transforms into a huge file, 300 MB or more. How can I get it just from the scanner in a single file? I have the quality to 300 dpi setting.

• Failure of connection auth page shows the error instead of the popup error page

  I have a page of login.jspx (unlimited) with the user, the password fields and action button doLogin.  When I created this page it would display a popup on an authentication failure.  Sometimes, somehow this page no longer displays error popup (af:message?) on the login page and instead sends me to the error stream page task without terminals.  As I want to preserve the error page to handle exceptions not intercepted, I want that connection failures to display the popup on the login page to allow simple retries.

  I appreciate any constructive input!

  I found my problem.  I had a generic rule of flow with case "*" of home.jspx.  I think this caused the doLogin null return to home.jspx that bounced to login.jspx because of the security of the page.  The overall message telling me connection error has been lost on the extra jump. I removed the case and all is well!  Thank you all for you input (he says the song of the cicadas in the distance).

  Today, I noticed for the first time... The icon to look like a blank page with a firefox icon on this mini... Htm and html icon now looks like a blank white page which is curved on the upper right... I tried a reset of firefox and it did not help... (I saw it on my linux ubuntu computer) BUT my computer with the html file icon problem is Windows 7 x 64

  It does not say it is a Firefox HTML Document, but it does not show the icon of firefox on the html file icon... I will uninstall and reinstall... I hope this will help

We have solved most of these problems via a HTML + JavaScript loader which performs a compatibility check-up. If all tests are successful, the HTML code then calls the PDF file. If the tests fail, then a courtesy message, explaining the problem and describing the steps the user must perform to solve the problem (s). If the user does not wish to use the Acrobat plugin, then the user is redirected to the RSS STREAM. The site is based on the RSS STREAM, and so the user has access to (most of) the content of the site. You can read this code at the following address: http://www.MadreAcqua.org/index.html. It is not enough, however. We had people with Acrobat Reader X installed on supported Adobe Systems, but their browser plugin remained version9; It turned out that the update of the Reader app could not update the Player plugin. On Windows 7 + updates, with Firefox 4 + updates and Acrobat Reader 10 + the index.pdf does not display included sovereign wealth funds. Note that it works on Windows XP + updates and Adobe Reader 10 with any browser. The failure on Windows 7 is a mystery. There are also people who are sick and tired of Acrobat Reader update by hand, or do not have the skill or the time to do it. It is also the source of the recent security problems.

  Below you will find other problems.

  2. the mouse wheel allows to reverse the pages instead of scrolling. Specifically, each page of the site is displayed in its entirety. If we do scroll, however, the engine should try to scroll, find that the page is displayed in its entirety, and so nothing should happen. Instead, the engine displays the next page of the PDF file. The PDF file was built with the indicator "single page view", but the engine force mode 'to enable scrolling '. This seems to be a bug in the Adobe Reader software.

  In short, dear Adobe, please ensure that all platforms have the same version of the Acrobat Reader plugin, and that the plugin is updated automatically, in the same way to Flash Player 10.3. One plugin (pdf + swf) would also be useful. Please also make a charger official as part of the plugin, both to solve (mostly) the above problems and increase your own awareness of them. Otherwise implies your inability to offer its support to HTML ++.

  Not a bug - you're wrong points.

  If you embed a SWF file usinguniversal mode (Acrobat 8 and earlier versions) l, then it will never print, because it is never part of the PDF page. Legacy content is an annotation that is managed by an external program (in the case of the legacy SWF, a copy of office of Flash Player). For security reasons, there is no communication between the engine PDF printing and that the external program, so when you print the PDF file you will see nothing except the poster images.

  If however you embed your SWF in Acrobat 9 native mode +, it will play using the built-in Flash Player copy and will be printed, as long as you select "document and annotations" in the menu options and print on paper, it will look exactly as it does on the screen at the moment you press the button print, provided the SWF correctly handles step scaling.

  In addition, you can write a PDF with SWF file included for printing, but when you print it, the content of the included SWF file does not appear on the paper. This is part of our list of bugs.

• When you try to import the bookmarks to an html file, the command import does not appear in the toolbar.

  I have a desktop Mac running 10.7.5 and tries to import favorites from Firefox on an old Mac running 10.3.9. I exported the file to bookmarks to a file html with success and copied this file to the new Mac.
  The suggestion of using Firefox, I then tried to import the bookmarks into the html file but when I went to the bookmarks toolbar, there is no import option of any kind shown to proceed to the next step. What's wrong?

  In bookmarks (library) Manager is a tool bar with back and next button and three other buttons (organize, view, import, and backup).

  • The first button (gear) is organizing with base change the menu items for the bookmarks
  • The second button is the button in the view which allows you to change the sort order for the visualization of the purpose (sort is not permanently).
  • The third button (Star) is the import and backup button that allows to save and restore a JSON backup and import and export an HTML backup and import bookmarks from other browsers.

• Why won't my home page to the default?

  For some reason my home page is Google, but I want it to be simply the default Start Page of Mozilla. Whenever I have change to default that it goes back to Google. It does not have the default home page, which is what I want.

• Why my docs insert two pages to the right of the spine?

  I produce a catalogue with 23 chapters or more, so I have a lot of docs and I'm adding them to an InDesign Book(After I have filled them with content). The chapter/article begins always start on a right-hand page, the issue im having is that when the pages are inserted in any model number same chapter it will add them to the right of the spine. I have attached a screenshot showing the offending document "Pages" Panel. It adds to the right of the spine, even not in a book.

• Why update my web browser page increments the number of users connected to my remote façade?

  I use LabVIEW 2010 and a cRIO-9118 to broadcast my RT of frontage on the web with a Web server.

  I configured the web server to be able to control my front remotely. However, I have a problem with "Refresh" browser.

  When I press 'Enter' to find the address of the web server, the number of connected users seems to increment by one and then tells me that "too many users are connected to the façade. Once this was done, the only way to "unlock" the web server must restart the cRIO.

  Is there a solution to avoid this problem?

  My current web browser is Internet Explorer 8.

  Unfortunately, there is currently not a very good solution for the problem you are experiencing. It seems that it is a known issue that works in R & D. It is that in addition to simply refreshing, this problem also occurs if you try to access the remote façade using a second tab in a tabbed browser. A "fix" would be to invest in a higher façade remote County license. If this is not feasible, then the current recommendation would be to avoid the connection to the façade remotely from a second tab or refresh the view in your browser. Once you exceed the number of connections to the remote façade, you must restart the RT controller - it is not a way to change this default behavior.   I use RoboHelp 9.0.2.  I'm trying to create a link in a chm file to a specific pdf page by using a URL.  The link that I use is http://www.actuarialstandardsboard.org/pdf/exposure/ASOP_No27_second%20exposure_2011.pdf#p age = 41

  I put the line above in my chm file.  It appears correctly in the project URL list and display correctly when I choose the show.  It appears to be correct also in the HTML code of the page.

  However when I create chm by clicking on the link brings me just the beginning of the pdf file.  After you click the link in the chm file and Explorer opens, the URL in the browser does not display #page = 41.  She finished at.pdf.

  Did I miss something or someone kno why it does not work?

  This link does not work for me when I paste it into the address bar of my Firefox browser. It does not work in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox. In Firefox, it opens the PDF file generically.

  I tested in a CHM and he did try and link, but it presents a black page. Looks like the page, but it is blackened.

  CHM files are based on elements of Internet Explorer to display their content. So maybe, it's something specific to a certain version of Internet Explorer, but also a certain version of Acrobat Reader.

• Try to save a page on the internet as a text file on my computer. The one I read.

  I am trying to save a copy of a Web page. I can't save it as a page that I can read. Them is as many pages 'recipes' of payment, I need to present. I can print them out, but cannot be saved to a file. If I could save a file I'd not lose all the paper print all this just to turn around and scan to a file.

  The perfect solution to this problem is to install the freeware "CutePDF" on your computer.  This software will add a new printer to your computer called a "CutePDF Writer" and when you use this printer, it will create a ".pdf file" on your computer that you can store and review or print at any time in the future.  You must also install the freeware "Ghostscript", which is also provided on the installation/download page:
