Why my computer automatically creates copies of my pictures when I manipulate multiple photos?

When I am downloading multiple images to websites such as Facebook or my own website, Windows or something done automatically copies of the photos that I am. It is not a smart program either because it will make a copy of each picture that I work which is highlighted using the Ctrl key to select more than one photo. I saw the 21 "such" file copy That is disturbing? And Don ' t bother telling me that it is a virus cause your trying to make a sale and sound like a pro or something!

Some this setting in Windows that tries to "protect us" users to make a mistake, but the man who wrote the darn program is a silent model who did not have the smart program.

I personally did it by mistake a few times, good if you use Ctrl + mouse to select several files and accidentally slide off the coast of the CTRL key, it immediately makes copies of all the files selected in the current working folder.

Hello adagarner, you could try to go back to a Restore Point Windows before this problem appeared.

Go to the start ORB, all programs, accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Click the system restore option and should open the window of Windows system restore. It may take a few seconds for it to open.

Then are looking for a System Restore Point before the problem occurred.

The system should reboot and the system starts on the normal desktop and a message if poster who advises the system was a success or that Windows was not able to restore the system.

Sometimes it works and other times not, but may be worth a try.

Depending on what types of brushes, they are, they also get lost when you save to an older version.

  • Why become a really dark and have high contrast when I export my photos

When I export a file and more particularly when I send a photo I'm working on the person who receives, it becomes a picture that is far under exposed and contrasted.  I myself copy on them when I send them and they look horrible in the email.  What I am doing wrong?

    So frustrated.

    Dug

There is nothing wrong with your export settings, and sRGB is the best choice for the color space. But Lightroom's color management, and many other applications, such as e-mail programs, are not. If your image is in color, it would have seemed more saturated and somewhat contrasting applications managed without color, but since it is black & white, it appears mixed. There are no that you can do about it, except by using color managed apps to view exports.

Most web browsers, except Internet Explorer and Edge, include the sRGB profile and should display the image correctly.

The Windows in Windows 7 and 8 Photo Viewer is also color management. The Photos in the Windows app is not color-managed, and I'm not sure 10 Windows Photo Viewer.

  • Why a white area 1/3 of the picture when it is stored in JPEG?

When I finished a photogrqph with 10 elements of treatment, it's looking just the way I want it, save it as PSD have and as JPEG, if I open the PSD copy with elements, it looks like what I stored, but if I open the JPEG copy on 1/3 of the photograph has a white box on the left to the right in the photograph.  This occurs in about 1 out of 10 photographs.  What can cause this and what can I do about it?

    Ken,

Thanks for the reply.  I just opened the PSD file with 10 items and watched.  There are only two layers showing, the background layer, and a second with a border at the bottom with the title.  I don't know is what a layer masked.  If you give me your email address, I can send you the file.  I did exactly the same thing with nearly two thousand photogrphs for my site, www.pbase.com/mostly_birds.  For the site I store one less than 200 KB file for the Web site that will be fast download for viewers.  There is no problem look a those.  This is the big JPEG file which opens onto the white space.  The smallest one that opens well is stored after the great evil that seems always good in the elements.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Automatic virtual copies

Why doe LR automatically creates unwanted virtual copies when I make adjustments?

This is a safety feature deliberate whenever you have Soft Proofing turned on. The appearance of the image changes on the fly, and adaptations made in response to it may be inappropriate for the image when not not visible in the test (and / or in the test to a different output). So the current settings are protected, and a new separate copy is offered instead.

Press S to turn on or off this world. The normal operating mode is turned off. The background of the document / surround changes to the white paper when the Soft Proofing is enabled.

Virtual copies made this way are automatically associated with the particular test in effect configuration when they were created and are recognizable to that used as the name of the copy.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.
