  • NVIDIA graphics driver has stopped from working properly.

well, I have a HP pavilion dv6000 with windows vista. my laptop has a recurring problem: the screen stop working there are lines everywhere and the mouse becomes what looks like a saw. You must restart it or put it to sleep. It keeps recurring more frequently and after about 3 - 5 times, the computer will not restart in any. Ive done system restore, and then when I'm running again, he looked for a solution to the problem. I received this message:

«NVIDIA graphics driver has stopped to work properly.» an update of the driver, as appropriate, could prevent this problem does not happen. "and then there's a list of about 5 options on how to update. I did the first two (check the windows automatically updated and manually update the driver). Update Windows provided nothing driver associated. When I went to update manually, it says the best driver is already installed. When I had clicked on my driver it says that everything was working properly.

This has happened several times, ive just saved and deleted most all of my computer.

    Here's my driver information:

Please can someone help me with this problem. The computer seems to work on other pages, well, only facebook games give me the problem.

    Thank you very much.

Sounds like a hardware problem, could be one of the following:

    (1) if it is a new PC, you must call/contact manufacturing because it should covered by a service contract.

    (2) if it is a PC that you upgraded to Windows 7, then you should download device drivers for Windows 7 on your PC manufacturer's support web site. Also equally important to the driver for your graphics card.

    ATI: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

    NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us

    (3) if its an overheating problem, remove side trim and blow out the dust bunnies using a can of compressed air. This includes the heatsink and fan, power (evacuate nozzle with compressed air from the inside outwards) and dust from the motherboard and the case. Ensure that the card fan also. Note: Take the PC outside when you do!

  • Why my computer keep close and sends error messages

My computer has been spoiling for about 2 weeks now and Im completely at a loss on how to solve this problem. I have a Dell 2400 desk top with Windows XP. First of all, Google Chrome crashed, then Windows.  He told me in an error report to try to uninstall all the new drivers... I had installed Silverlight a week before this happened, so I uninstalled, ran CHKDSK, I ran a defrag, I deleted all temporary internet files I could and restarted the computer, when I was... It did not really help.  The computer would minutes before stopping again, and saying a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer, other times she would run longer and just restart on its on.  I get an error box saying sometimes the error report is damaged.  Sometimes when I start the computer, I get a screen that says that Windows has not loaded correctly, so I have to use the last known working config... sometimes I get a blue screen telling me to turn off any anti-virus, Defrag disk or backup utilities, to check the hard drive configuration, drivers updated and run chkdsk/f... I do everything told me and he still messed up, over and over.  I tried the system restore, it didn't work, he said something to have to rename the files in cache, but on the computer problems were still there.  I even cleaned the motherboard... it was dusty, to see if maybe it was turning off cause it was heat, but that didn't really make a difference either.  It will run for hours sometimes, and others, it restarts or gives me every few minutes as the blue screen.  I ran all the tune up utilities, I could, were things corrected, my system is supposed to be fully optimized, but I always get errors.  I found a lot of drivers on my comp, but as I don't really know what I need and that you don't need, I left those alone.  I told him to check the memory and BIOS to disable the layout cache/shading, to use windows update to search for updated drivers and the only thing that comes up all the time is when I click on the box of purple error that appears when I turn on the computer, I check for details, and he said the same two things all the time , and, again, I don't know what they mean:

    C:\DOCUME~1\Krissy~1\Locals~1\Temp\wer151.dir00\mini02061-12dmp AND
    C:\DOCUME~1\Krissy~1\Locals~1\Temp\wer151.dir00\sysdata. XML

    Hi John,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, there are random shutdown problems.

This can happen due to some software conflicts or changes in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System)

Method 1: Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

Advanced Troubleshooting for shutdown problems in Windows XP

Note: follow step 4 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

Note: Make a backup of all your data to an external device as performing on-site upgrade may cause loss of data.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

Method 2: perform the steps from the link below and check.

After the Windows Logo appears or after you log in to Windows, a Windows XP computer cannot display the wallpaper, a black screen or a blue screen

Meet us if you encounter any problems with the computer stop, or any other issue of Windows, and we would be happy to help you.

    Good day!

    Hope this information helps.

  • HP ENVY 15-j101ex and the problem of compatibility with the Intel graphics driver update

    Hello community HP,

I got my brand new HP ENVY 15-j101ex for almost a month now and it works very well. I tried to play any of my games on it and after 20 minutes the laptop crashed. After searching the cause, it turns out that my Nividia Geforce and Intel Graphics driver have been exceeded. I updated the driver from Nividia and everything went well. However, whenever I have download the new driver for the Intel graphics card it is not updated and simply say that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements. I checked the name of the driver and I even used the center of the action on my computer that I warned that I needed to update my driver and he even gave me a link to download from, but the same error occurred.

Now, I can't play ang game without my computer crashing down. Everyone has faced this problem and does anyone have a solution?

    Thank you

    Ayman

If you want to install the drivers and got downloads provided by HP, and then use the HP Support Assistant.

Do not rely on the center of maintenance Windows for driver downloads recommendations.

Download the Intel HD graphics card is not necessary. It willl be usually used only for productivity software you install and web browsing.

Choose the following memory Upgrade for eMachines computer eMachines T5026.

I am running Windows XP SP3 with RAM sticks of 256 MB (2) on an old eMachines T5026 desk top.  I added strips of RAM 1.0 GB (2) for the two slots open and computer would not start.  I tried with stick (1) 1 G and (2) 1 sticks and it still won't start.  I tried to mix and match the 256 with 1 G in each combimation, but it does not start.  Won't start with one or two sticks of 256.  Best Buy had PC3200 DDR RAM but the spec above States use PC2700.  Geek Squad says that PC3200 is OK instead of PC2700.  Is this the problem or I had to do something besides just insert new RAM?   Suggestions welcome.  Thank you.

Thank you for confirming that. I still think that the above tips are relevant:

Because what you bought doesn't work, my suggestion is to stay within the plug (PC2700), like this:
  • I get the message that the ATI graphics driver has stopped working and I don't know what product I choose to set the problem__

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Uninstall/reinstall your video drivers. Find them in EITHER OEM for your specific model computer Web site if you have a branded computer (Dell, HP, etc.). OR from the Web of ATI site if you have a generic construction machine. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC: Intel HD 4600 graphics driver has stopped responding and recovered after upgrade Windows 10 1511

16/11/2015 Microsoft installed automatically 'upgrade of 1511' on my Windows laptop, 10.

(This laptop has been previously successfully upgraded to window 8.1 for Windows 10 in August.)

After the upgrade of 1511, I started to receive the following error while playing at Microsoft games:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered - Display driver Intel HD Graphics driver for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding and has recovered."

According to Device Manager, installed upgrading driver 10.18.15.4256 dated dated 15/07/2015.  I did a restore to 10.18.15.4248 as dated 29/06/2015.  This has not solved the problem.

I checked HP Support Assistant and apply labeled sp72370 10.18.15.4248 Rev c dated 05/08/2015.  This has not solved the problem.

I am committed service HP Smart friend and they are reapplied 10.18.15.4248 via Device Manager web search pilot.  It has installed Intel Driver Update Utility 2.2, but the newer driver has not been installed because of "driver installed by manfacturer (HP).

HP support person recommended restore new to restore point before Microsoft «upgrade» 1511   I was not comfortable doing so, as 'upgrade' was an important update from Microsoft by using the same process as the initial migration of Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.  The customer can no longer control the timing of updates and upgrades are cumulative - is no longer able to choose specific updates.

For now I'm wrong to live with this error condition, as seems to have an impact on games and not other normal operations.  My laptop there one provided by HP NVIDIA Geforce GT 740 M, which is Windows compliant 10 and seems to operate normally.  Some of my apps choose the Intel driver, and others choose the NVIDIA driver.  I don't know how applications choose which one to use.

What a problem like this to be resolved when Microsoft control completely the update mechanism and HP doesn't seem to update drivers available via the HP Support on a basis common?

I've disabled the Intel HD graphics driver and used the NVIDIA graphics driver for the game.  No problem.

Disabling the driver Intel resulted in the reving fan at a higher speed intermittently.

Support for HP Smart friend assured me that the behavior of higher fan speed would not result in problems with premature failure on the road.  You agree?

They said that my choice was to keep the disabled Intel HD graphics driver and use the NVIDIA only, or living the problem until HP one releases pilot newest Intel - it affects only game, all other functions seem normal.

  • How can I fix NVIDIA Graphics Driver included with Vista, Sony VAIO laptop?

My Sony VAIO laptop works for a few years now without many problems (difficult). But all of a sudden (not not after installation of software/hardware) the computer turns off. Now when I turn it on, the loading screens have graphical bugs and then I get a blue screen crash. Then it shuts down, reboots and asks if I want to run in safe mode. If I run it in normal Mode, the same problem occurs. If I run in Mode safe (networking works too), everything works as it should in Mode without failure. A problem report comes up saying 'address a problem with NVIDIA Graphics Driver NVIDIA Graphics Driver has stopped working properly.  An update of the driver, as appropriate, could prevent this problem does not happen. "I am very good with computers, but it's something that I have no idea how fix." What should I do?
