If your computer restarts spontaneously, you probably
Blue-screening and you are the default reset each time that
This happens. It's a poor one by default, and you should change.
Do right click my computer, and then choose Properties. The tab advanced,
Click settings under Startup and recovery. Under system failure,.
Uncheck 'automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of reboot, you will get
the blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those

Also note that such a problem is usually a hardware problem, not a

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

  • All my tabs and history are missing after my computer updated and rebooted. I had more than 140 tabs open! Help!

    Last night, my computer (Win 7 Dell Portable - Firefox) made an update. It restarted and when I turned it back on, the computer gave me a message that your office told 'prepare' before I could connect. When I logged in, it was almost as if the computer was brand new - the desktop theme was new, he said my mouse was ready for use, and he said that internet Explorer 10 has been updated. I clicked on Firefox as usual, expect that he gives me the screen where it asks me if I want that it restore all my tabs and it was the home page of Mozilla firefox was barebones in the sense that she was not one of my modules, or even the basic, file, edit, view, history, Favorites, tools, help buttons on the screen. When I walked into the story, it was only today listed and no site! I'm panicking and I really need to know how to get everything back to the way it was. I got an add-on of Personas with 36 backgrounds that I loved, and I don't want to have to go back and re-download all my modules, not to mention, there is no way, I would be able to store or to pick up where I left off with all of these tabs, that I need for work. Please help me!

    It's a temporary profile Windows, not Firefox's fault, but something (perhaps a windows update, they unrolled a bunch today) corrupted your Windows profile. http://www.sysprobs.com/fix-temporary-profile-Windows-7 can help you, it will also bring back your Firefox data.

    When my computer is blocking my mouse stops and I can't go for a little until the computer starts to move again it happen sometimes and when I want to listen to the music and watching youtube videos they get affected by Frost and they do beep sounds until my mouse was able to move again. I already clean my disk and I scan my computer with essentials, but nothing seems to work, can you tell me what is happening with my computer? I might have a virus, but I've already scanned my lot of time computer but nothing is found. When I look at my task manager, I see two race for internet explore, but I use an internet, I don't know why I'm getting this and I thought it would be the internet because it has the largest amount of space to use CPU and I see my performance top performer sometimes up to 100%, I don't know if this could be part of the problem , but I always get this annoying stupid freezing far if I would be very happy if you can give me any ideas or something?

    Looks like you can have a video and/or audio driver out of date on your system.

    Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

    Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

    Provide information on your system, the better you can:

    What is your system brand and model?

    What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

    What is your Internet browser and version?

    Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

    You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

    If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

    Now make some clarifications:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

    Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here.

    For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

    For information about the audio drivers, expand components, click Sound Device, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

    There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

    While you wait, I could do this:

    Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
    They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  • Why my computer date and time keep changing at 01/01/2008

    My friend has a computer problem.

    The date of his computer does not change since 01/01/2008, today's date. After the formatting as system, it is facing the same problem. He tried to change the date through the configuration of the BIOS. But after the reboot, the date is still helping 01/01/2008.Please. He got windows 7 ultimate SP1. Thank you for your patience for reading this.

    There is a battery on the motherboard that stores configuration information, including the date and time.  It seems that if this battery should be replaced.  Check motherboard of your friend or the system manual for more details - the battery is usually very inexpensive and easy to replace once found.

  • Why my computer date and time keep changing to 01/01/2003

    I change the date and time of my lap top, according to the laptop for a while and turn on the date and time continue to change to 01/01/2003. I have not so much time to change, but... his problem keeps up to date of the.

    Looks like your laptop CMOS battery needs to be replaced.  It is not the same battery that powers your laptop.  It is usually a battery of lithium-manganese dioxide of small coin shaped that resemble the shows big battery.  You should consult your instructions of the manufacturer on how to access and what type of battery is needed to replace it.

    A simple call to your computer manufacturer should provide all the necessary information.

  • After the computer crash and reboot in the middle of editing, I get error at every start

    The preferences file is not relevant to this error. Leave it alone.

    To remove the preview cache, follow these steps:

    1. quit Lightroom.

    2. in your operating system, look for your Lightroom Catalog. Catalogs are generally/Pictures/Lightroom on Mac and my Pictures\Lightroom on Windows.

    3. Locate the folder whose name ends in "Previews.lrdata" and delete it. (note, may you enjoy a folder whose name ends with "Smart Previews.lrdata." You shouldn't need to remove that one).

    What operating system or version of Windows do you use?

    We would need to know that in order to help you better.  If you still see the desktop and My Documents on your Start menu, you should be able to recreate the shortcuts by right-clicking on them from there.

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Original title: when I turn on the computer and the connection, it will compromise the destop and then shuts off and comes back, over and over again. I have run and remove detections from virus and bug, but it still does not work. Help
    Can I delete something so that my computer turned on? After f8 button the window xp from microsoft to address blue lights with a list of things to do in which nothing has allowed so far.

    Hi bonnieb1941,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. How have you tried to run the virus and bug checks?

    4. is this the machine is disconnected and re-login in back or just reboot?

    Step 1:

    If the machine is in continuous loop, then try to disable the auto restart in case of system error and let us know the error code.

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select disables automatic system failure reboot when the Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed and press ENTER.

    Check the link for more information:

    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2:

    Also, try unplugging the external devices connected to the system and check if the system boots normally.

    Hope this information is useful.
