Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

WiFi connections are losing their strength increases the distance between the router and so as a general rule, there are some conflicting objects

Try the following steps please

The following actions and after each test to see if the issue is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

  1. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
  2. If the answer 1 is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
  3. Perform a forced - restart cela do not delete or purge all data and allows to solve many problems - here is how - press and hold the Off / On Home button and at the same time for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Allow normal startup upward.
  4. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
  5. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
  6. Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings - remember to have very practical WiFi passwords because it erases the WiFi passwords
  7. If it is a new specific net device in your home - make sure that the router gives enough DNS for all numbers which must / wants a connection - stuff like the printer, Chromecast get overlooked - ask for more details on this so not sure option
  8. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
  9. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • iMac loses the internet connection when I turn off wifi

    Any help appreciated! I'm not very computer savy! Can my grandson tell me (how) on some things.

    I lose the internet connection when wifi is disabled. It will happen when using any browser, Firefox-Safari-Google Chrome.

    Desktop computer is connected to the modem.

    Model name: iMac

    Processor name: Intel Core i7

    Processor speed: 3.4 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of Cores: 4

    (By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

    L3 Cache: 8 MB

    Memory: 4 GB

    Any ideas? Thank you

    You can use an ethernet cable between the modem (= the internet connector) and the iMac.

    WiFi is like an invisible computer thread worms (among others) the modem. When you switch WiFi off, your computer cannot reach the modem and so there is no internet on your computer.

  • The mouse loses the Bluetooth connection when left idle

    I'm suddenly having a problem where the bluetooth mouse that works off the preinstalled Toshiba bluetooth stack.
    loses the connection when left idle for a little while.

    This was not the case before.

    What could cause this?
    I just changed the batteries in the mouse, so it's not the question.
    Any ideas?

    It is the forum on Toshiba laptops.
    If you have a laptop from another manufacturer, then you should visit the website of the manufacturer of your laptop

    In any case, the stack of BT from Toshiba page is the most recent which is available on the market, so it should work on your laptop.

  • EA6500 loses the WIFI connection after inactivity, how to fix this?

    Hi guys, Ive had this problem with some routers now and I was hoping that this new EA6500 would fix it but no. Every time that I do not use wifi during the night, the day depending on whether it does not work, I need to restart the router for WIFI to work again. Wired connections still works and does not descend. Someone knows how can I fix?

    Try to change the local IP address of the EA6500 192.168.2.1.

    It is possible that a conflict NAT is fouling things up. Through feeding cycle usually is a big red flag for a NAT conflict.

    The EA6500 is designed to avoid conflicts NAT for the devices connected to the wan port, but I do not think that it will avoid conflicts with the LAN port.

  • Satellite C660 loses a wifi connection when unplugged from charger

    I have a problem with my C660, when the charger is connected wifi works well, however, when I unplug the charger wifi loses connection within 30 seconds. This happens every time. I've updated the BIOS and no difference.

    It's the second C660 with this problem when I bought the first laptop, that was happening, so I brought curries and they replaced the faulty laptop, however, the same question with the second unit.

    We have 3 other laptops in the House and this problem happen with others, if this isn't a problem with my router.

    Forum search function and read some threads in the forum WiFi category could help you find the solution ;)

  • DeskJet 3055 loses the WiFi connection

    My deskjet 3055 A put in place perfectly, and I was able to print via the [zv6252EA Pavillion] laptop using windows XPvia my iPad 4 and on my phone using the HP application.  However, by turning off and return the next day it would not connect.

    I Redid the installation process and yet once again, it worked perfectly, but today, after the back passage, it fails to connect to the internet.

  • Satellite Pro A210-1AZ - I lose the WIFI connection for no apparent reason

    I am connected to a wireless network with my A210-1AZ. There are 4 wireless networks in my area, belonging to other people on my street. I connect to my network, and everything seems to work fine...

    Up to an hour, I just lost the connection without apparent reason. I click on the ' Connect or disconnect ", and he cannot find + all + 4 wireless networks. I press refresh - nothing. I go to Device Manager, disable then re-enable the best to the wireless network device. Can I do "connect or disconnect", and it shows all 4 networks back. If I connect... for another hour... then I have to do it again.

    It seems worse when I use the network a lot, that is to say. Download large files, sometimes after 10 minutes. If it is fairly inactive, it lasts not more. But it always happens in an hour or two.

    It becomes really annoying!

    Please do BIOS update to the latest version. The problem should be solved.
    By the way: card WLAN that is listed in the Device Manager? Intel or Atheros?

  • ConnectionFactory cannot create the WiFi connection

    I tried this code example, and it returns null ConnectionDescriptor when I only have the wifi connection:

    cf = new ConnectionFactory();
    cf.setPreferredTransportTypes(new int[]{
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_TCP_WIFI,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_TCP_CELLULAR,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_WAP,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_WAP2,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_MDS,
        TransportInfo.TRANSPORT_BIS_B
    });
    cf.setAttemptsLimit(2);
    cf.setConnectionTimeout(10000);
    ConnectionDescriptor descr = cf.getConnection("http://www.google.com");
    StringBuffer buff = new StringBuffer();
    if(descr == null){
        buff.append("no descriptor");
    }else{
        buff.append(descr.getTransportDescriptor().getTransportType() + ";" + descr.getUrl());
        try {
        descr.getConnection().close();
        } catch (Exception e) {
            System.out.println("===>conn close error:" + e.getMessage() + ";" + e.getClass().getName());
        }
    }

    I tested with the mobile network and it works well and returns the connection descriptor non-zero but when I try with the wifi only and always returns null.

    I tried to access Google.com on the bb browser and it opens.

    However, the connection is slow and it loads for a while before opening google. Is this the reason why I get null handle or its something else?

    Well I solved it.

    It turned out that I had activated the VPN profile to the wifi network. When I disable the code works ok.

    But this raises the question why can't make a connection http via wifi with active VPN profile. I can always open google.com in the browser.

    I'll make a new thread for this question.

  • I've never seen the cloud on my watch symbolizing the wifi connection.

    I've never seen the cloud on my watch symbolizing the wifi connection. How to operate when phone and shows are on the same network?

    Hi, Kristian

    If your Apple Watch is not connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth, but it is within range of a WiFi (2.4 GHz) network your iPhone plugged in the front (while it was connected to your watch via Bluetooth), then your watch can connect to this network and still offer some features:

    To check the status of the connection of your watch, go to the eye of parameters:

    • When displaying the time on your watch, slide up on the screen, then swipe left / right for the look of parameters.
    • This will specify connected or disconnected:
      • If it says connected and the icon in the upper right corner is a green phone, your watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
      • If it says connected, the icon is a green cloud, then your watch is disconnected from your iPhone via Bluetooth, but rather connected (as a backup) to a known Wi - Fi network.
      • If it is disconnected, your watch is disconnected from your iPhone and also is not connected to a Wi - Fi network. The icon in the upper right corner will be a red telephone with a line through it.
    • Slide down again to return to the watch face.

    To test whether your watch is currently able to connect to a Wi - Fi compatible network known as a relief:

    • When within range of the network, turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone.
    • After pausing for a short time, check the status of the connection of your watch as described above.

  • HP LaserJet M1522nf begins to lose the network connection

    Hello! I have HP LaserJet M1522nf and I use it for about 1 year maybe, but since last week, he begins to lose the network connection (ping failed, web interface does not work too). To be correct, the printer is connected directly to the network through an ethernet cable, and the cable is perfectly fine. His work when you turn it on and for the next 5 to 15 minutes, but after that it lost connection (tasks start fails).

    I really like using little aid, some perhaps of advice. Any suggestions?

    Hard reset the router to factory settings and reconfigure your settings.  Pass the cable to a different port on the router.  You said that the cable was good... change anyway.  Try now.
