  When left alone for s short period of time, my system crashes, although my mouse moves again. Click anywhere on the screen or by using the keyboard does not seem to get back to work. The only way I can then use my laptop is to do a hard reboot by holding the button power for 5 seconds.

  My system seems to work very well as long as I don't stop using the mouse or the keyboard.
  The time between when I finally used the computer and when it hangs can range from 5 minutes to 10 hours.

  I suggest you to see these steps:

  • Press right on your mouse button when your desktop is visible. A menu will appear.
  • Move your mouse to the bottom of the menu and click on the word "Properties".
  • Look at the tabs under the marked blue title bar "display properties". You should be able to see one marked "screen saver". Click the screen saver tab once. You should now see a small monitor.
  • Look for the dropdown next to the marked buttons 'Settings' and 'Preview '. Click on the arrow down on the right side of the menu drop down.
  • Look at the list of available screensavers. The first menu is marked '(none) '. Click on this title. Once you have clicked on the title, the "Apply" button will become operational.
  • Click on the button apply. Close the display properties window and the Control Panel window. You have now properly disabled your screen saver.

  I have HP Pvillion Notebook 17 - screen touch, bought in 2015 - a laptop computer for years.

  In the past month the sign wireless turns off (and I'm offline) and the mouse freezes and laptop freezes forcing me to close the power button.  Then on switching on, the laptop is fine with wireless - however, it does not last long and this happens at least several times during the day.

  Method 1.

We are not able to easily to "wake up" the computer. If we hold the power button down for 10 seconds, the round ends. If restart us the breath fan aggressively, but the screen will not display anything. The only way to get the computer working again is to turn off the switch that powers the computer for ~ 1 min and then put it back in again once. After a time abnormally long start-up, the computer goes to the exact same State it was when he went to the black start (the documents are always opened ect.). Does anyone have a similar experience?   I would guess that you have a hardware driver that is not fully compatible with the sleep mode function. I would check with the manufacturer and system of the various devices for driver updates (do not use Windows Update to do this). If this fails to solve the problem, you can turn off "sleep" (Control Panel/Power Options, check the settings of the engine at idle) or reduce the State of "s" that the system tries to get into the BIOS system (if available).
