Hello Thedow,.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I'm not going to be able to sync your iPhone with your computer, it's not what you expect.

Based on what you said, it seems you may be having problems with connectivity between your iPhone and your computer, and there may be two reasons that this can happen. Good news is there is a great article for this problem:

  • most recent version of iTunes has not recognized by iPhone

I have the new iPhone 6 s. I also have a MacBook Pro. The first time I plugged the new phone to the computer, a message from iTunes saying "the iPhone is useless because it requires a newer version of iTunes." I went to itunes.com and downloaded the latest version. I confirmed that I well downloaded new version by going to "about to iTunes". Scrolling the message says I have 12.2.2.25. I rebooted my phone and my computer, but I keep having the same message pop up, whenever I connect my iPhone to my computer.  I don't know how to solve the problem.

    Thanks for any help.

iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements:

You can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • Why my SideWinder Precision 2 is not recognized by my game?

It seems to work fine as XP is concerned. It appears in the control panel and Setup seems to work very well. It works even in recent games. The problem is when I try to play Crimson Skies. He didn't see any of my joystick. I tried to install and reinstall the drivers and even using XP built in drivers but nothing. I have defined the main joystick on the Sidewinder, checked and rechecked to options of controls of the games and still nothing. The best I could do is create profiles to map the game buttons to match the keyboard commands, but the stick and the throttle are still useless.

I know it is an old game (2000) and older joystick. But they work all Microsoft products and they work perfectly together on my old 98 machine. What's going on here and how can I solve this problem?

    Thank you

Directly update does not solve my problem, but the Readme with it did.
"Several unsupported controllers: If more than one joystick or gamepad is connected to your computer, only work in Crimson Skies."

I didn't have a second joystick, but I once connected a Wiimote in bluetooth and windows acted like it was still connected. Disable it solved my problem.

  • iTunes does not recognize my phone and ipad

iTunes is not recognizing my phone and my ipad, I tried everything I could find on the line, nothing works

    What should do?

Since yesterday, I have the same problem. It happens after a (at home) Microsoft Windows 10 automatic update to version 1511!  So I think that some drivers are removed or modified without taking into account the needs of apple. Does anyone know that the drivers and where to get them? Or if possibly an another Microsoft Update again clears this problem?

    Thank you very much!

  • Neil Young "everybody's Rockin '" is on iTunes but my identical CD is not recognized by iTunes when I transfer them to my computer. Why?

My Neil Young CD "everybody's Rockin '" was not by iTunes, I transferred to my computer. Same as CD/disk is available for sale at the iTunes store.  I have other CD like Miles Davis, Clash, cranberries, David Bowie, and all my CD have been recognized as well as the CD cover. Why Neil Young CD is not recognized?

    Help is appreciated

    Hello

Sometimes happens for no apparent reason! Where iTunes sometimes has a remastered version, the tracks are downloaded. The original disc there flaws?

My copy of this CD, bought at the same time released in the 1990s has been matched. Try to remove the tracks, then reripping CD in a different format with bitrate of 256 Kbps. There is no guarantee that you will get a match but at least downloaded titles would have similar quality to the iTunes store versions.

  • iPod Classic not recognized whan connected to iTunes and related issues

Whenever I connect my iPod classic to iTunes (Windows 10) is not recognized. iTunes then freezes after awhile of trying, it is recognized by iTunes. You can see everything on the iPod, but you cannot synchronize. Then I have to restore the iPod, but you can not recharge music etc. as the sync box has been ticked in the recent update. Then you can charge all your music which takes about 8 hours. WHY! Is this because Apple won't use their classic iPod more or what.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).
  • Updated itunes 12.5.1 and iPhone not recognized now

I upgraded to itunes 12.5.1 and now my itunes does not recognize my iphone when it's connected.  I have a new laptop with Windows 10.  Can anyone help please?  I want to save my phone before I upgarde to the new iphone 10.0 software.  Thank you!
