  • Why can I no longer scan a document into word so it can be edited?

There are a few versions of microsoft, I was able to scan a document in word format.  Once scanned, it could be open in word and edited.  I can find is no longer a way to do this.  Is it still possible?

Yes, but you need an OCR [optical character recognition] application to do.

OCR takes a picture & transformed into characters - Word can handle only once this task is completed.

It wasn't a word that makes the task of scanning-OCR for you.

Many scanners come with a bundled OCR application.

  • 6520 HP scan the docs of color like B & W a MacBook - PDF & color scanned photo docs are fragmented

    I have a HP Photosmart 6520 all-in-one printer/scanner/copier... I use a MacBook Pro, which has Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2. I've linked the 6520 wireless via a "n" wireless TP Link ADSL2 modem/router.

I scan a document of color for the MBP, using 6520 display panel, if I choose (in the settings) "Scan Type > Document (PDF)", the result is a PDF black & - not white. I would have thought that he would transmit the color scanner. It never occurred to ask me about it when I bought the camera.

If, on the contrary, for the same color paper, I select "Scan Type > Photo (JPEG)" the result is more "fragmented".jpeg files, each showing only a small element of the scanned rather than see the page as a feature complete in a single file (but they come out in color!).

I'm something wrong or missing something? Is B & W PDF standard? How can I force a color document can be completely copied into a .jpeg file? Once more, any advice will be accepted with gratitude.

  • DeskJet 1512: How to scan a document, paper or a MS Word file, using the Deskjet 1512.

I need to know how to scan a Document MS/file or print using the HP DeskJet 1512. I found no instructions on the way when the printer/Scanner/copier was purchased from Wal-Mart in Dinuba (California).

    User Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03832527

Analysis means scanning a paper copy of a digital file (image or with OCR to editable doc). You analyze a word doc, as it's already digital (file).

  • How can HP LaserJet 3390 using Windows 7 - I scan several documents in individual files?

Printer works fine, scanner works fine, using Windows Fax and Scan according to the HP website and all is well when I want to scan documents one at a time.

However, when I put a stack of documents into the feeder and scan it turns into a single file of 10 pages instead of page files 10 1 as I need to.  It seems that there is an option in Windows Fax and Scan to do what I need (images to preview or scan as separate files under scan settings), but it is greyed out and I can't for the life of understand me how this box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

The easy way to do this would be to scan to a single image as a GIF, JPG or PNG format.  These image formats are not able to form muliple page documents such as TIFF and PDF.

If you want to create documents PDF or TIFF-single page then you will need to review advanced on this printer model analysis options.  Sometimes the printer will allow you to scan each page as an individual document by checking a box or by selecting a different profile from scan.

If not, you can still scan pages from a single document, and then re - print the document in the form of individual pages of an image editing application.  Let us know which app you use to view your documents as well as the image format you want to publish in so we can give you specific steps.

  • Why can't scan my document with my printer hp deskjet 2050A

Dear microsoft, I can't scan a document with me hp 2050 deskfet has.

    Hello Ella,.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem, you are unable to scan your document with the HP Deskjet 2050 printer. To scan a photo or a document from the Control Panel on your computer, make sure the computer is turned on, the long printer driver is installed and the HP printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, a cable network (Ethernet) cable, or on your local wireless network. If one of them is missing then it might be a chance that it will not scan.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. It was working fine before? If Yes, did you significant changes before the show?
    2. Are all the device drivers and updates of Windows updated?

Try the steps in the following methods and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Method 1

This tutorial is designed to help you identify and fix common printer problems in Windows, including print errors, print spooler errors, and other issues that could prevent you from printing.

    Method 2

If the problem persists, I recommend that you completely uninstall the part-time driver that has been installed on your computer and then download the latest driver on the printer again manufacturer site.

Step 1: Try to remove the printer by following the steps described in the following Microsoft Article.
