  Sounds like a hardware problem, could be one of the following:

  (1) if it is a new PC, you must call/contact manufacturing because it should covered by a service contract.

  (2) if it is a PC that you upgraded to Windows 7, then you should download device drivers for Windows 7 on your PC manufacturer's support web site. Also equally important to the driver for your graphics card.

  (3) if its an overheating problem, remove side trim and blow out the dust bunnies using a can of compressed air. This includes the heatsink and fan, power (evacuate nozzle with compressed air from the inside outwards) and dust from the motherboard and the case. Ensure that the card fan also. Note: Take the PC outside when you do!

  Why my windows keep freezing? It's funny because it started to happen after I replied to a few things about illuminati on youtube. But after that, it kept saying error post comment. So I disconnected my account and connected to another one of my accounts, and he says the same thing, so I decided to restart my computer. Then the screen froze, I waited 5 minutes, then held the power button and turned it off, then power on. Done that 4 times more, then finally, it got to the point where the 6th time the only thing that was frozen was the taskbar at the bottom with the Start button and the basics of microsoft security date and time which not. in any case, I could use the rest of my computer, to the point that when I opened internet Explorer, it froze. 7th time... I had taken a break before I'm back and tried this time, and it was a weird breakup cause that is also a lot of things that never happened before, but it finally worked. But my volume control panel went 'again' and it is not picking up my card soundblaster, which idk if the driver went for her or what. But I would like to help with this and perhaps a reason why this happens. I didn't download anything since the last time I have shut down my computer, everything works fine every start until this afternoon when it happened with youtube. idk if it was a virus, hacker or what.

  Ensure that your data is backed up / copied to external media. It seems that your PC has a hardware problem. If it's a name brand PC, for example Dell / HP etc it may have preinstalled utility test read the manual or manufacturer's web site

  I was wondering if someone could help, Ive had my laptop Toshiba L350D-201, a little less than 7 months and recently the screen just freezes.

  Have you noticed a higher temperature while the laptop freezes?

  From my own experience, a higher temperature may affect the functionality of the laptop and can lead to portable gel.
  Also a RAM could be affected by the higher temperature.

  You can clean the cooling modules using compressed air spray it maybe helps
  .
  Of course, the problem might be related to a software problem display maybe driver malfunctions. In such cases, it s advisable to reinstall the operating system and update the display driver.

  This problem may be caused by a touchpad setting which is intended to avoid any accidental activation - for example if your Palm brush the touchpad when typing.

  You can change this as follows.

  Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.

  The hardware/software version will depend on real option that you're looking for (see the example below), but it is usually called 'check' Palm or Smart Sense'-disable this function and apply the changes.

  This isn't the first problem iv met before with this laptop and in each case, I had to restore to factory, removing everything. The problem I have now is that the screen of the laptop freezes after about ten-fifteen minutes from start-up. If im watching a video, the sound will still play, but not the image.

  What kind of videos you're watching (DVD, avi, mpg movies)?
  Which player do you use?
  This happens on the same format of video?

  Have you tested on different actors?
  What did you do to find out why this happens?

• My DV7 series laptop for a year and a half old keeps freezing while charging.

  So Ive had this laptop (chart below) for about a year and a half now, and last week he suddenly started freezing only while it loads. It happens regardless of the temperature, my graphic choice (radeon or intel) and any other factor.   The only problem I see is AVG.

  AVG is that a virus scanner which often gives trouble.

  Why? It is not the best antivirus and gives wrong with HijackThis.

  HijackThis is a tool of advanced securety used by malware specialists. And AVG is not the complete package.

  Yust a assume that you use the Windows Firewall? If Yes this isn't good eunogh for threats.

  Another assumption:

  You do not run on Java 8.

  Please uninstall all versions of java and download this new version.

  I recommend Avast 7 free + free Online Armor + Secunia PSI 3.0 and Java 8

  If you plan to install Avast it please let me know. You will need to disable something in Avast, otherwise there will be trouble with Online armor free.
