  It sounds and looks a lot like your server hosts is not defined
  properly with the correct type "mime".

  If youre see the correct css styling in Safari and IE and not
  Nutscape and Firefox, it is a sign of the served css file
  incorrectly.

  I'd get to your host and say you don't think that their server is set to
  until properly css Server files.

  Check it out by downloading your page to another server if possible
  and see if css styles are recognized.

  Go to: Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins

  Trash the files AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

  Empty the trash

  Restart Safari. You can now download the PDFs intact.
