• Place the cursor where wanted / needed (like arrow key functionality)

  I have a hard time placing the cursor exactly where I want to.  This happens often when I have typo in an area like text or hyperlinks.  Given that these areas cannot be stretched or expanded, I have fat fingers... which often leads to place me the cursor in the right place.  I keep wanting to the arrow keys to move to the correct place.  I forget this feature, or am I destined to continue my hunt and Peck, Peck, Peck... method?

• using the arrow keys to change the face of an object

  I have an MC which can be moved with the arrow keys. When a person presses the left button I want the object to face left and do an animation for as long as you press the left key.   I am trying to change the individual letters of the text using "vectorize" and then separate the letters. When I do this, illustrator doesn't add anchor points the outline of the letter. Instead it treats only the letter as a square image of base and I can only adjust its size. Help, please!

  Make sure you click first if nothing is selected, and then select the anchor point specific, if you select the letter or the line you will get different results from what is selected.

  Step 2: If you still face the same problem then try reinstalling the DVD drive drivers.

  1. click on start and then click Control Panel.
  2. click on system and Maintenance and then click System.
  3. in the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
  4. in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.
  5. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.
  6. restart the computer.
  After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

  Now try to play or access a CD or a DVD.

  I did a big session today and shot all in JPEG format (by accident). Worked on them in the same way as I would with RAW files in Lightroom, but when I export them, the changes I made do not seem to export.

• Why the recent updates to Windows are close my IBM ThinkPad without warning? Help, please!

  Since I installed the latest Windows updates on my IBM ThinkPad (belongs to the office, one for me), the computers have decided to stop randomly without warning and without closing programs.  It happened first in the portable desktop computer and I tried a system restore, but it wouldn't.  Today, I installed on my computer but after I did a system restore.  I'll try that, but I guess that this will not help.  What can I do to get this to stop happening?   Is anyway to switch to Microsoft and tell them what is happening and have them repaired?

  OK, removing the updates does not solve my problem, so reinstalled. I solved the breaks down by turning the bottom of my screen Hardware Acceleration 1 notch. Always try to understand the underlying cause.

  You cannot edit videos or by e-mail with media player. You can use movie maker (search for "movie maker" in the start menu) to edit and send an email that you would normally send an attatchment.

• Bug? Can change the color chart with the arrow keys?

  I used the option live paint and live paint bucket.  It's really handy change shade that I use by using the left and right arrow keys to change my swatch in the Swatch Palette.  But in CS6, if I do, and the next shade chosen is a percentage of shade of another color (for example, I have a shade of blue and a shade of blue 85%, which is the tinited Swatch blue to 85% in the color palette and then transformed to a saved shade), the 'selection' around the shade box disappears and I can change is no longer the choice of grade without clicking above.

  I can switch easily between shades that are not percentages of the original, without any problem.  CS5 and all earlier versions that had this feature had no problem whatsoever.

  Removed preference files.  Works fine now.

• Print layout on screen rotation when you use the arrow keys

  I must have accidentally pressed a wrong key combination.  Now, when I use the arrow keys on the keyboard while typing of text, orientation changes screen, according to which key I hit it, I hit the down arrow, the text on the printed page rotates 180 degrees.

  How can I fix it?

  I googled the question of fun and learned you can hit CTRL + Alt + an arrow key to change the direction of the display on the monitor.  Pressing on the same new keys cancels the function.  I must have accidentally done to create the mess in the first place.

  I've done the same thing if I had rebooted the system.

  I think I've changed the default distance to move an object using the arrow keys of 1 Point (1/72 inch). Can you help me change the default or tell me how to set the distance you can move an object such as a text field using the arrow keys. Thank you.

  It is based on your grid interval setting in the drawing AIDS palette. For a grid of 1 point, you would need apart 12/pc (although it says the points of the grid is picas, points 12-pica).

  I find 1 point too fine, I use a grid of 4/pc (3 points) and I have all my subject base around multiples of 3 measurements.
