Why not sync calendar with iCloud?

I have an iPhone 5 s, iPad 2 Mini and MacBook Air (mid 2011). I use the application calendar and reminders to stock up on all three of these devices and all my software is up to date. When I create or edit an event or task in the calendar or recalls on my iPhone, the change is reflected in the iPad and vice versa. However, I don't see the changes reflected in the calendar or reminders for MacBook. Similarly, when I create events on my MacBook, I don't see them on my iPhone or iPad. My account iMessage, contacts and notes are still fully functional and updated between all three devices. Calendar and reminders seem to be the only problem. I have the calendars and boxes checked in my preferences to iCloud reminders.

Try to go into System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing.

  • Do not sync calendars

I have a MacBook, iphone and icloud calendars. Both devices connect to icloud, but calendars sync between devices or in icloud. They used to, using a USB cord and itunes.  I add content to ical on my computer and then on the iphone, but the content does not share between devices or in icloud.  Any help to fix this greatly appreciated.  Using MacBook running OSX 10.10.4 Lion, iphone 4S version 8.3.

    Please, try the following...

    1. First make sure that all of your settings are correct, that the calendar synchronization is checked on all devices (System Preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on iPhone, iPad, or iPod).
    2. Make sure the calendars that you use are in your "iCloud" and not a "on my Mac", "On My Phone" or other iCloud no account (you can do this by clicking / pressing the calendar button in the upper left corner of the application), iCloud no calendars will be not synchronize.
    3. If you are sure that everything is configured correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you could try to uncheck syncing calendar in iCloud settings, reboot your device and then reactivating calendar sync settings.
  • iPhone not syncing Contacts with Outlook 2010 on Windows PC

For years, I have synced my contacts (and calendar) with Outlook 2010 Professional on my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium via the USB port.  (I don't want to use iCloud - I want to sync with the PC).

Suddenly, all my contacts on my iPhone 5 have disappeared.  I think that they were deleted when I synced my phone today.  They are always in Outlook on my PC.  My phone favorites are still on my phone, but they are only numbers with no name.

I tried to synchronize.  I tried to reset sync history.  I tried a hard reboot on my phone.  I made these several times in different order.  No dice.

My Calendars always sync, but no contact.  This is not good.

The only change that was made was recently an update of iOS on my iPhone last night to version 9.3.4.

Because I believe that all my contacts are on my phone yesterday and now they are gone today after the iOS and/or sync, I strongly suspect not syncing contacts is somehow related to the update of iOS.

Everyone knows this?  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thank you much in advance.

    Hi tednovak,

I'm sorry to hear that you are away from your contacts after update your iPhone to iOS 9.3.4.  Since you do not use iCloud and instead to synchronize your PC with iTunes, you did a backup of your iPhone before updating?  If so, you can restore your iPhone using iTunes:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

If you do not have a recent backup of the data on your iPhone, you can try to resynchronize your Outlook data on your iPhone.  The resources below provides troubleshooting for this process steps.

  • bookmarks in Safari on iPad does not correctly synchronize with iCloud

Hello. I have iOS 9.2 on my iPad 2 Air and OS X El Capitan on my MacBook Pro. My Safari bookmarks on my Mac with iCloud sync, but I have a few problems of synchronization of my safari bookmarks on my iPad. They sync out of order, or synchronize incomplete (compared to what I have on my Mac, which is the latest version).

I already disabled safari on my iPad (settings > iCloud > Safari) and selected the option 'remove' the data previously synchronized iCloud Safari on my iPad. When I switched back on safari on my iPad and waited a few minutes for synchronization to occur, my favorites were 90% agree, but some bookmarks were unserviceable and other bookmarks were missing in some of the tabs. I tried also to browse some Web sites in my favorites to see if forcing a fresh synchronization, but it did not help.

I would like to have the bookmarks on my iPad to be the same as the bookmarks on my Mac.

Before, when I got iOS 8 and the Mavericks, they have always been in good sync, but now they are not.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thank you, Rick.

  • Contacts on my Droid does not sync properly with my Google contacts

What should I do if my contacts on my Droid is not correctly synchronize with my Google contacts?  I only sync my contacts on my Droid with Google contacts, (when I synced with my company address book and added a new contact in my Droid I literally hundreds of the same new contacts to one contact added to my Droid).  A few weeks ago, my contacts has stopped adding new contacts from my Google to my Droid.  Updates to old contacts sometimes work and sometimes not.  I turned off and turned on my Google contacts sync on my Droid and rebooted my Droid and he turned his back and I still have the same problem.  I don't want to do a factory reset (throwing the baby out with the bathwater in my opinion).  Deletion of my account Google's Droid and time it would solve the problem?  I currently 217 contacts in Google and 213 on my Droid, but I don't want to have to update each, whenever I get a new contact.  I also find what is updated and what is not would be laborious.  Thanks, Annette

There is an application named "delete contact" who should do it. Before you delete it please make a backup of your contacts in case something goes wrong. Just precaution. You can export your contacts from your Gmail account. You can do it from the phone also, but I guess that's your Gmail account that you want to save. There must be some contacts which merged. It's the only thing I can think of as to why the number of contacts would be different.  I hope this helps.

  • How to sync calendar with Windows 8.1 yahoo?

How sync you Yahoo calendar with window 8.1 app?

Right now, you can't.  Yahoo provides support for syncing the iPhone using CalDAV, but which currently excludes Windows and Google devices.

You can see that sync services Yahoo offers here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/SLN4707.html?impressions=true

But on the side of Microsoft, Microsoft has recently added CalDAV support on Windows Phone, and it's from Windows soon (can't tell the exact date).

  • My audio does not sync upward with the video when editing... no not after have exported them.

So, I use Adobe first Pro CC and it's been great so far. For reason of som I get this problem a lot recently, my voice does not synchronize with the video. I use Audacity to record my voice and my recording software to record sounds in the game. My voice doesn't sync upward with the video DURING editing (no not after export).

Also, before you save I say "3, 2, 1, record" so I can sync my voice and video, so it's not me being stupid... It is really strange.

    Any help? See you soon.

First will not work with variable rate, you will need to use a program like Handbrake (for Windows) to convert the first.

  • iCloud backup Notes and calendars with new Apple ID

Change the e-mail address that you use for your ID Apple should not affect any on this. If you have created a new Apple ID, that would have an impact on what you are trying to do.

  • Cannot synchronize calendars with iCloud

I used to use iTunes to synchronize calendars. I get a new Mac and I now need to synchronize iCloud.  I don't want iCloud - but I put in place because I NEED to synchronize.  So now - Mac is complete, partial, iPad iPhone NOTHING.  Go crazy looking for answers!

Just things to synchronize.  I really do need calendars and today finds that medical important notes (in iCal)... nothing.  I have nothing and is not the wonderful experience promised by Apple.  This isn't (or shouldn't be) something cutting-edge.

The first step to get things as expected is to understand the difference between the use of the mail, contacts and calendars to be 'synced' vs. how things work with modern cloud (iCloud, Google Gmail, Microsoft 365) services.  In the old days, you would be 'sync' line of devices one phone to a local computer where you have stored your contacts and calendars.  It is more the way things work.  With services like iCloud, all your computers, phones, tablets, etc., rather communicate directly with the server to iCloud instead of synchronization between them via iTunes.  When implemented correctly, using iCloud is much more reliable 'synchronization' ever was.

To set things upwards so that each of you, the devices use iCloud (and therefore always show current mail, calendars and contacts), you simply login to iCloud on each device using the same iCloud account and ensure that services you plan to use are activated.  On the Mac go to "System Preferences" > "iCloud" to connect and activate the services.  On your iOS devices, go to the "Settings" > "iCloud" to do the same.  Make sure that all these Screes are with the same login to iCloud and have services enabled (including schedules).

Then, to test.  Adding an event to a device should appear immediately on others (without iTunes required).  If the test works, then open iTunes to your iPhone / iPad are each attached and disable iTunes sync for calendars, contacts for these devices (is no longer necessary or desirable).

Finally, if your old calendars are still available on your Mac, then you should be able to copy the old events of the old (probably stored locally on your Mac) calendar to the calendar iCloud newly available.  Once you do, you should immediately see on other devices.

    I hope this helps.

  • iPod Touch sync calendar with Outlook 2003

  • BlackBerry Bold 9700 Smartphone Sync calendar with Outlook 2007

I recently changed my Bold 9000 Bold 9700 phone. Using the Desktop Manager 5.0.1.37 and on the sp2 of Vista and Outlook 2007. I used to be able to synchronize perfectly ok with my 9000 "BOLD", and since I changed my Bold 9700 phone, he used to synchronize my calendar - as if it ignores the calendar completely. I tried a number of suggestions in this forum, including the removal of the intellisync folder and reset the configuration of the synchronization, hard reset the phone, and nothing works. I'm out of ideas. So if anyone could help it would be much appreciated!

    Hey adharma.

This is exactly why your calendar is not properly synchronized, you should have a 'calendar' and ' calendar all.

Do you have any setup of e-mail accounts on your BlackBerry?  If so I suggest you to send again to the bottom of your service books if you can return a default calendar.

    To send service directories: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

You can also try merge you with calendar entries to try, then get your default calendar again: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

If these two options do not restore your calendar, then I suggest to do a wipe handheld.

One wipe Handheld will remove all data on your BlackBerry, so, create a backup before doing this option *.

  • Can not sync calendar on Tungsten E2

My handheld is an E2, my OS is Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

HotSync (access v 6.2.2) is suspended on the implementation of the agenda.  I have to use the Task Manager to close.  If I disable the synchronization of calendar, sync zip up; When I re-enable synchronization of the agenda, it crashes again.

Except a few entries are passed to my office calendar; Pocket news seem to be complete.  I tried to "Handheld overrides DeskTop", but once again the synchronization crashes.

While pushing around here, I found a link to this: http://tinyurl.com/235r3u .   It is said that the application available on this page works with Vista.  Is this really a Palm application, or is it the access program?

And where I could look for backups of my data?  I remember seeing several copies of each fichier.prc/.pdb on my pda somewhere on my hard drive, but I looked in the Palm / {id} / backup and not see it - it was something in the Palm software that went in Access?

In any case, I'm hoping for a solution or even a suggestion for my problem of synchronization.

I kept studying and found mention of the CESD DbFixIt; It solved my problem immediately.
