Why Photoshop doesn't load Raw files as a grayscale image?

PS version CC2015.5 / Windows 7

When loading an image directly from my hard disk, it loads a grayscale image. When Adobe Bridge opens first thumbnail images are displayed in a RGB color but sequentially begin displaying in grayscale. However, when the power of images in PS to help change in the images open as RGB color. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it. I must be the only one to go through this because I found nothing in any forum. Thank you... Peter

  • Ideas to explain why, when you work with raw files in LR 2015 with Edit in PS 2015 and use the Camera Raw filter, the profile in the Lens Correction Panel tab is missing

Ideas to explain why, when you work with raw files in LR 2015 with Edit in PS 2015 and use the Camera Raw filter, the profile in the Lens Correction Panel tab is missing? Mac OS X 10.10.5.  I reinstalled the OS and Lightroom and PS, nothing helps.

    Hi ParadigmRose,

This is expected as profile tab behavior does not appear under Lens Correction Panel if you go to Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop

However, profile tab would be there if you open a raw image directly in camera raw first.

You can go to the filter menu > Lens correction in Photoshop, if you want to search for profiles with edit in Photoshop.

  • Why used my trial version of Photoshop CC open Canon Raw files

Hi just downloaded the trial version of cc in lightroom and photoshop cc because I bought a canon powershot GX3 and my old CS6 impossible to open Raw files for this device. Although the new download of Lightroom can open them photoshop through bridge canoe again to open them. I think that I have the latest version of the software as I just downloaded it so what I am doing wrong?

First perpetual CS6 version with ACR 9.1.1 should be able to open you canon G3 X Raw files you wrote GX3 I think that may be a typo.   Cameras supported in Camera Raw

If you have a perpetual license, CS6 and install Adobe Creative software cloud there is a good chance that break your perpetual CS6 install.  Creative cloud includes a different version of the CS6 13.1.2 and creative cloud Office will want to update the version and ACR to ACR version 9.1 CS6. • Why my actions not treat RAW files correctly?

To begin with, I must say that CS4 has been one of the most reliable software that I've ever used.  This is a beta version.  Adobe makes good Microsoft look these days.  I was extorted by upgrading from CS3 because Adobe has not wanted to create a RAW file of plug-in for CS3 that would open the Canon 5 d Mark II. They wanted the income.

I am an engineer and I am pretty good with computer problems, but after spending hours just trying to install the update CS4 to CS3 on a machine fairly new, very fast Windows with no other software installed by me, I gave up.  It took 3 hours on the phone with a tech from Adobe to make it work (more or less) correctly.  CS4 still freezes approximately once per day on what the system lose whatever changes I made at the time where I finally get it shut down and restarted then a month I bought a laptop Windows new, fast ago.  I installed only CS4 and word on this computer (with all the latest patches and RAW plug-ins).  This is the big problem is in the processing of RAW files.  I have an action that works fine on my other systems I have written from scratch on the new laptop.  The action doesn't open a RAW file in PSD format, resize, convert to sRGB, change the mode to 8-bit, sharpen and save it as a JPG file.  But the JPG that looks not to the file RAW where it was made - color, brightness, contrast, etc. are all significantly changed.  When I come back from a mission and transfer the same RAW files on my other computer that CS4 is installed and perform the same action, the jpgs out perfectly.  Once more, Adobe responded to my low expectations.  Any ideas on what is the problem?

So you're a candidate for Lightroom... According to time, you do not have

    want to spend in Photoshop.

Photoshop installation media is probably created in large quantities, perhaps in a

foreign country, so it's understandable that you get Photoshop 11.0.0 is on

    the media.

I don't know that I would use ProPhotoRGB as my working space in Photoshop.  I have

simply suggested that you look at your color settings to make sure that

things were the same on both machines.

How do you know that your actions are the same?  Have you copied the action

recording from one computer to another, or have you simply record the same

steps on each of them?  Have you compared the details of each step of the action in the

Actions palette to make sure they are the same?  The symptoms always sound

as something different than sRGB is the color space of output, or the fact

It is not shipped on one or the other computers.

How you view the JPG file when he looks at the same or different from that of the

RAW?  You look at the side-by-side in Photoshop, or side-by-side in

Bridge, or are you using a mixture of viewers, a single Adobe and the other not?  And

you use the Canon Codec on Vista or not?  The Canon Codec would be

show the overview camera in the RAW not RAW settings that Adobe has

    fact.

While the operating system should not lead to a difference in the way the action is executed, a

difference between operating systems may make a difference in treatment appears.

The camera profile associated with a RAW file is visible in the

third right tab in ACR above on the right.  The one with the little

Digital SLR camera on the tab icon.

Can you join two files jpg on an answer, here, or if not, download a ZIP of the

both jpg and RAW files to a site to share files like http://www.rapidshare.com/

    and post the download link?

    Hi laurelj,

So that Photoshop to read Nikon 7200 files, you must be at least Camera Raw 9.0

Please read the article for camera supported: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

So if you want to use Nikon 7200 files, you can use DNG Converter.

  • Why Firefox doesn't load the JCPenney update web page?

I just spent an hour on the phone with JCPenney, and then we are cut off. The gal is telling me where things are running on their new website, and I'm telling him that no such thing appears on my page.

After that, we got cut, I opened Google Chrome just for the heck of it and used my LastPass to open a session for JCPenney. LO & this IS! All these things the gal was trying to tell me about the page - are actually on the page.

Now why Google Chrome will load the new site of JCPenney as Firefox continues to load the old site?

    Thanks a bunch! It worked.

  • Why photoshop doesn't let me not renaming my layers

Does anyone know why Photoshop won't let me not renaming my layers?

I may be your solution - I just this exactly the problem and have run into a few times recently, seemingly random. The psd's happening was a floating window - when I moved it back in the dock he allowed me to rename the layer. I don't know if it's just my system, but its fixed it for me overall. I hope that this will work for all of you as well.

  • Why can't save a .raw file edited as a .jpg file

I use PSE 10 and with the other catalogs, I had no problem editing my files .raw (6.7version) and then open them and after the new edition, do a "save under" and save as a .jpg file in a defined version.

now, I'm working with another set of image files and when I try to record the final edited it suggests:

ED - 1.psd and menu drop-down lists also: psd, pdd, pse, .raw, png, and TIFF. (there are no layers in the file)

FAQ search failed. I avague remember to have this similar problem there are other versions of PSE years but don't remember the solution. It is the first example of this problem. Other information that might help, it is according to me, this is a "convert" catalogue of PSE 8. I am running WIN 7 Prof 64 bit

    Appreciate any help

    Dan Y

I returned to a catalogue of different previous > same computer, same PSE10 and selected a previous version of consisting of the original > raw file and saved them edited ed - 1.jpg file and selected the original .raw, complete edition open file it opens in ARW 6.7 as before, then opens the file in the editor of PSE10 and tried to save it as a .jpg file (I did obviously in the last days at the most) (not changes to the computer or programs) and it does NOT OPEN AS a file .jpg as DESCRIBED above.

    HOPE THIS HELPS

Eventually, you work with a 16-bit image. Before you click the button open an Image in the dialog box camera raw, change the drop-down list for 8-bit and you should then be able to save in jpeg format.

  • Why Photoshop doesn't support read/write of files .mpo?

I'm really blown away that I can't find a single plugin of Photoshop that reads and saves .mpo files. Does anyone know why? And why isn't anyone talking about this format? I struggle to believe that nobody in the entire Photoshop Windows forum asked already on a total lack of Photoshop or an interest in support for .mpo files.

If nobody knows how read/write the file .mpo directly through Photoshop, maybe someone could point me to resources for writing a plugin for this. It's a file format really very simple: there is no reason that a plugin must not already be available.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Well said. In the end, it comes to the number. Development costs $, and if there is no hope to recover this cost, I doubt any software company will jump to support FTU. Now, things can change, but this depends on the number. At the same time, AVCHD is not easily supported by most of the NLE programs. Soon, the number reached a critical mass, and most of the software companies jumped on this train running.

With the availability of the PS SDK, if anyone recognizes the need and the financial justification for this plugin, I think they will write a.

It was similar, when struck with JPEG - 2K. It was going to be the future format/compressor. It took time to seduce the good, but when he did finally, Adobe added support. Over time, it is rather fizzled. Now, if it's still around, it's probably like a ' Goodies > additional Formats ' plugin.

If I was on the Board of Directors of Adobe (or any other similar software company), I would ask to see the numbers, before I give my vote to continue the development.

Fuji offers software for the DFO format? It works well?

For me, it would be incumbent on Fuji to take the SDK and build a plug in PS, but I feel the same way on camera mfgrs., rewriting of the CODEC for video, who do not care to offer a such CODEC for editing. They leave THEIR pending clients, like the last leaf fall, in the wind. Were I have Fuji, I certainly would develop a plug-in for PS, the professional image editor more common on the Earth. They know their format, access access to the SDK and have a responsibility to their customers.

    Good luck
