  I agree with jdeline that means at least one of us is wrong. The name of an input tag does not necessarily match a CF variable.

  Difference #1 - the 2nd form selects an option according to the value of a variable. The 1st form does not work.

  Difference # 2 - If you submit the first form without picking up a fruit, it may not be a form to all variable. If there is, it will be an empty string. If you submit the 2nd form without picking up a fruit, the form variable will have a value of "apples".

• How can I disable the menu drop-down list on the back button?

  I use a laptop and my hands are not too clever. Whenever I click on the 'back' button, I get the drop-down list, which means that I must then back up my hand to the pad (gently!) to move the pointer, and then try again. It may take me several attempts to turn back a site now!

  Also note that it only shows the bookmarks menu button if you use the Firefox menu button and not the classic menu bar, because it would be quite redundant to have a button and the bookmarks at the top menu which does exactly the same thing.

  Look at what you have in the toolbar and what is in the window customize (you may need to scroll down). If you have one in the toolbar then the other is probably in the window customize somewhere. If you have a lot of addons installed there may be many buttons to look through.

  If you have problems you can just click on the 'Restore Default Set' button in the Customize dialog box to restore the default values that will also involve of the bookmarks that you want to switch all your toolbars. If you had any other customizations to your toolbars and then change them back again.

  The drop-down list will also behind in Safari and Chrome. So I would say that the fact that it works in Internet Explorer is just pure luck (or quirks of IE) and FF, Safari and Chrome are entitled.

  In general, the css property that stacks one element on the other is the z-index:

  But I don't see any z-index used in the menu or the image rotation.

  So if these two elements are z-index 0 default (no declared z-index), positioning will then have juvenile which item is displayed... rotating images cancels the drop... so to speak.

  I couldn't test a good z-index applied to the menu, so I applied a negative (below zero) z-index to '#rotating - point - wrapper' (via Firebug) and got the menu to display on top of the images.

  z--index: 100;

  So for the test, add a negative z-index to "#rotating - point - wrapper"... just to see the z-indexing can solve the problem." then if you don't like using a negative z-index, apply good z-index in the menu dropdown.
