Why the crazy scrolling?

My iMac has a problem that bothers me, almost - endless.  It scrolls briefly but-wildly, say in Pages.  (This happens here - in Firefox, too).

Lately, I thought that my Internet connection could be the culprit.  (No choice of _my_, I use Internet Charter.  I live in Asheville, North Carolina).  This might be, please?

I think it is easier to ask here & to learn if anyone else has a similar experience.  I believe that to ask here is easier to test myself.  (It is advisable to writing.)  Thank you.  :-)

If your on your laptop and use the trackpad try cleaning it

If you use a mouse, you can adjust the settings in  > preferences system... > mouse

If they appear to be nominal and are still having the problem of the mechanism in mice may be at fault. Try to replace it with a different USB mouse if it is available to try.

I do not think that your ISP is the culprit. Charter may be rubbish, but NC is full of shit providers, mine included, and I wouldn't be surprised if Knobby could provide me better service.

    I'm a fool to the computer. I fix my car and I don't fix my computer. If there is no easy solution, I'll pay someone to do it for me. So, is there an easy way to retrieve my horizontal scroll bar? I've updated to the latest Firefox (35). I restored my computer to an earlier date when everything was ok. I downloaded another browser (Chrome) to see if that would fix it. Nothing has worked. The system I use is Windows 7 64 bit. I never noticed this before. Sometimes (when I'm too lazy to get up and do my glasses or cannot find them) I just increase the size of the window.

    To me it seemed that the scroll bar was still there, and then it wasn't. Hours lost, but a lesson learned. I did not mention that I am a fool to the computer, I don't?

    Sorry for this frustrating problem.

    I reported this problem to the team since Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.2). It happens with two monitors (usually DELL) and Mac OS X 10.10 and later versions. The problem does not occur with single monitors.

    We have a logged bug and the attention of the engineering team since the question seems to be trigger more accidents. Please fill in your crash report, Details of the system and any other findings in a bug report, found here: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug

    In the meantime, you can disconnect one of the double monitors as a workaround. I will push for a correction in the next patch. I hope it won't be too long from now.

  • Why my window scrolls one inch to the left?

    just changed the computer and the screen scrolls an inch to the left, and his mutilated left side of the screen for example begin is now rt

    Hello

    You have probably changed the resolution somehow. If you want to keep this resolution...

    1. If you have a flat screen try the Auto button (a physical button normally on the front or the side of your screen). You will need to consult the documentation of your screen if it is not clearly labeled.
    2. If you have an old crt type screen, you pay using the on-screen options to displaly and using the resizing and/or moving.

    The screen display or if you want to change the resolution recommended for your apartment...

    • Right-click on an empty part of your desktop, and then click Properties
    • Click the settings tab, move the resolution slider all the way to the right and click OK

    .. What will select the native resolution of your monitor.

  • Why the page automatically scrolls to the cfgrid controls

    I have a page that is large enough so that it scrolls vertically. When it finishes loading, the browser scrolls automatically to the bottom of the page where a cfgrid element. It happens in IE, Chrome, and Firefox.

    I reduced the cause down to the JavaScript server ColdFusion 11 adds at the top of the page. If I disable scripts in the browser, the page does not automatically scroll down.

    Addition of window.scrollTo (0,0) at the onload of the body does not work. What JS is scrolling down occurs after the onload event. I have not tried. ready() jQuery yet; in the hope there is a fix.

    Has anyone else seen elsewhere and don't know a fix or a workaround?

    I found that the solution is to add the attribute selectOnLoad = "false" to the cfgrid tag. Its default value in CF11 is 'true '. I'm not sure CF10, but in CF9 is seems to default to 'false '.

  • Please can someone explain why the windows Installer keeps appearing when nothing is installed? Any way to stop this?

    Why the Windows Installer keep popping up, either on a web page or an e-mail to the office when nothing is installed.  No way to stop that... ?

    The desktop of your computer, click on the tab "Start", usually located at the bottom left of the screen (on Vista, it's maybe the windows symbol instead of the word 'Start').

    Now, find and click on the program title 'run '. Vista users can locate this program by typing "run" in the area of research at the bottom of the menu 'start '.

    Once you open 'Run', type 'MSCONFIG' in the empty box and click 'OK '. This will open the System Configuration utility.

    With the open System Configuration utility, select the tab "Services".

    Scroll down the list of services (it may be advantageous to click on the 'service' column to sort the services by alphabetical order) until you find the program "Windows Installer".

    Now, click on the checkbox next to the name of the Windows Installer and click on the button 'Disable' at the bottom of the Configuration of the system.

    My interpretation of your post, is that the function "scroll speed" mouse has been invoked. Try to configure the settings of the applet of the control panel touchpad for her. Make a change at a time and test after each change to see if you wish. The problem is most likely to be caused by one of the scrolling options. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    This is the Bug of scrolling in the left pane.

    Say you want Microsoft fixed it by voting on the Microsoft Connect Web site:

    FIX THE BUG IN 10 MINUTES:

    The classic interface mainly eliminates the bug in Windows Explorer, but it will still exist in the open/save dialog boxes.

    Pane left scrolling bug (and other corrections):

    Using the classic interface to restore functionality of Windows Explorer

    After you have installed the free Classic Shell , you can customize Windows Explorer more closely to how you want it, the quote below is just a way to do it. Click here to see some of the options that you can customize, and here is the FAQ page for the classic interface.

    A solution that works for the restoration of some features.

    1) install the free Classic shell.  It's very customizable and works like a mod for Windows Explorer rather than a full blown replacement. You don't need to install the classic Start Menu option, but you can if you wish.
    2) restart the computer.

    3) launch Windows Explorer (Start - computer) and turn on "Always show Menus" (organize - Layout - check menu bar). It's just for the configuration, you can disable it again later if you wish.
    4) right click on the menu bar and turn on the 'Classic Explorer Bar.' This adds a series of icons for cut/copy/paste in Explorer. Basically, it also adds the "Configuration" icon
    5) go in the configuration and from there, you can change things to your heart's content. To kill the horrible record-jumping 7 Windows, place you Vista in 'Style Navigation pane. You can even hit back to XP mode if you want (this adds lines to the tree of folders and adds a classic icon "+" for the expansion of folders). The Windows Vista folder display style looks about the same as the view from Windows 7, but it gets rid of the horrible blow.
    6) adjust other settings you want.

    After that, you can activate the toolbar and menus walk back to explore if you wish. Explorer Windows seems largely the same, but folders is no longer jumping around.  Vote for Microsoft to fix this bug.

    Now if only MS allows to code correctly so that we don't have to mess with third-party applications to get Windows actually works...

    You can also let Microsoft know you want this bug fixed here: http://mymfe.Microsoft.com/Windows%207/feedback.aspx?formid=195

  • Problems with the mouse scrolling

    I have a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000 that I use on my laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit installed on it.

    Recently, the mouse wheel is crazy I've put it down it scrolls to the top, scroll down, done both or nothing. and this only happens when scrolling down, there is no problem of scrolling upward.

    I changed the USB port - in which I put the receiver - the only one directly attached to the motherboard. That gave me minutes of scrolling perfect without problem, but after having tried other ports he went crazy again.

    I tried to uninstall the driver from Device Manager and then put it back, but to no avail (I did for several ports)

    I should note that the problem itself is fluctuating, which sometimes means that the wheel is crazier than others and I tried the mouse on another laptop and the problem does not occur.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Magic of the Sierra of the mouse scroll / Zoom question

    After I installed Sierra, my Magic Mouse begins to act crazy in After Effects (CC 2015.3) and has not managed to scroll or zoom efficiently. He climbs 50% to 1600% with a very subtle movement and it is impossible to live and work with. Someone please help!

    Apple macOS 10.12.1 released this week. She seems to correct problems with the sensitivity of scrolling with a touchscreen device from Apple.

    I just installed the update and tested to scroll to zoom in the panels Composition, layer, and footage with a mouse Apple Magic Mouse, and the behavior seems to be the same as on 10.11.6.

    In addition, as I mentioned above, we studied the inertia scrolling disabled when you zoom in the spectator in After Effects panels, and I am happy to say that in the next version of After Effects, this will be the case. This change makes the behavior of predictable zoom with Apple touch devices and eliminates the problem where accidental blows or too fast-movies-des fingers make the Panel Viewer completely zoom in or out. (Accidental shots or shortcuts, if they occur, always will zoom to the Viewer. "But now the amount of zoom is based on the distance by moving your finger as a mouse with a physical scroll wheel).

  • How to add the offset to the items of id for the page scrolling

    Hello world

    I use jQuery scrolling page which requires jQuery easing, and I applied scrolling page class ID to several elements of the image throughout the site. He is also working on the elements of the section of the site.

    The issue I'm having is when any category id are selected in the navigation bar, for example in 'services', click on "Why choose us" in the drop-down menu, you will see it scrolls to this element, but it is placing too high up on the screen and part of this element is covered by the upper navigation bar.

    What I want to do, it's somehow add an offset from the elements id so that he finds a little lower on the screen just below the navigation bar, as it does for the elements of the section of the site. For example, 'our team', which is placed in a section works fine.

    Please see website link and jQuery code for below.

    http://www.clockdoctors.co.UK/test/

    jQuery for the functionality of scrolling page - requires the plugin of jQuery acceleration

    {$(function()}

    $('a.page-scroll').bind ("click", {function (event)}

    var $anchor = $(this);

    $('html,_body').stop (.animate({))

    scrollTop: $($anchor.attr ('href')) .top () may

    (}, 1500, "easeInOutExpo");

    Event.preventDefault ();

    });

    });

    I see. in this case, you may need to add an offset spesific for different updates page with anchors and based on the location of where change of resolution:

    you would use ID at all that will change your layout and you don't want that. in this case change all your refferals in a label - anchors

    and then in the CSS position them based on the resolution in a relative path:

    CSS:

    {#myName}

    position: relative;
    Top:-100px;

    }

    In short: all the ID change them as anchors instead of ID, then according to the resolution change the value at the top so it fits perfectly in all the page layouts.

    PS. my suggestion if possible rather collapse the header make more minimalist height when the user scrolls down, so it's less work and it takes less space in the content.
