  Put the (vector) path formatting on top of the image, select both and opposition > clipping mask > make.

  I can't open the file to see what there is to see, and I have to go in a moment.

  Duplicate your curvy object and then attach the text to the top in the list of layers.

  I'm in the UK and use the service of Virgin Media e-mail with an e-mail blueyonder address. Since Firefox has been updated very recently I can always connect to e-mail but I can't read the contents of the message, I get a blank screen the e-mail title spirit only. If I choose to print the e-mail, so I can read the text.
  If I connect using Internet Explorer I can read e-mail without any problem. Has anyone else had this problem and managed to sort it out? Thanks - Alan Thompson

  None of the suggestions worked for me, but thanks to everyone for their efforts. I think I saw a suggestion of upgrading to Firefox 8 - I did and it solved the problem.
