I do not do anything. I just read that a web page and a new tab will be opened with this video game. Any idea what's going on here?
It cannot be the cause of your immediate problem, but I suggest strongly that you disable/remove your plug-in popular screensavers - a part of the troublesome MindSpark family.

I try to open a new tab, but whenever I get a new window no matter what I tried to change the settings or uninstall or reinstall of firefox it just does the same thing its never happened before why now?
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

Firefox keeps opening links and new tab
During the navigation, if I long - click on a hyperlink and select "Open in new tab" in the menu that follows, even if it opens the tab it also follows the hyperlink in the source tab. How do you prevent to open the link in my active tab?
Sorry, this seems to be a problem on some pages having the scripts associated with the links. Workaround in a previous thread (for Gizmodo) was to drag your finger down a line or two when the menu appears so that when you lift your finger is not on any link. How keeping open in a new tab; TelevisionFanatic forever?
Whenever I open a new tab, TelevisionFanatic is here. Go away, forever. Thank you.
When you launch a new tab, you get a Web page on a site of TV fanatic? Normally, the only way to replace the new Firefox tab page is an extension.
You can view, turn off and often remove unwanted extensions or unknowns on the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a (Mac: command + shift + a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, take a critical look on the list on the right side. All extensions are optional. When in doubt, turn off.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?

This is a spam site and has audio that sounds for sure!
I don't know if it's directly relevant to your problem, but you should disable-disable/remove your update of plugin DealPlyLive.
Search on Google will give you the general idea that it is malware. Do you know what it is? Use it and you know where it comes from?

How to set default to open in a new tab?
It was when I clicked on a bookmark, a new tab was opened. I did something, but do not know what, so now he opens in a kind of bar on the side of the thing (a smaller part of the tab, I was on). How to reset the bookmark to always open in a new tab without having to do it manually with a right/select click?
«... now it opens in a sidebar...» »
Open the properties for this bookmark and uncheck load this bookmark in the sidebar.
As much as to have bookmarks always open in a new tab - see the extension mentioned in the first answer.

How to open new tab without leaving an old using the wheel mouse
Until yesterday, I was able to click on a link using my wheel. It would open up a new tab without leaving the tab, in that I was. Now, when I click on the wheel, he left the former tab and going to the new. As if I had used my left button. I hope that I can return this option. It is very convenient.
Hi Vicky, you can check the setting in Options to make sure that it is what you want:
"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs
Disable this box: "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately."

For example, when I enter the search term "cabinets" and get a page/tab search results with suggestions such as Sears, JCPenney, or Amazon, I want to be able to click on Sears and open the Sears page in a new tab/page. I want to be able to close the tab to Sears and use the search results tab.
Google offers a framework for this. What it does, it adds a HTML (target = "blank") statement to every result link, which causes Firefox to open in a new tab. If you uncheck the preference to divert new windows in new tabs, Firefox will then open the result in a new separate window.
This preference is stored in a cookie, if you clear your Google cookies often, so you'll need to reset every time. You can do so here:
https://www.Google.com/preferences
(On this page, Google refers to a new window.)

The question just about everything said. In the past, if I right click on a link and choose open in a new tab when I went back to splash page focus would be on the link. So if I then did a page down it would begin from the link. Now it starts, usually further towards the top of the page, so I end up back on the same thing. I would go back to the way it was, how can I do this?
Running Firefox version 32.0.2.
It seems that the culprit was a setting in Tab Mix Plus. In Options > events > tabs > content emphasis during loading non-empty page has not been verified. When checked, Firefox works as expected. At least as expected by me.

1. when I open Firefox I set it up my gmail page automatically opens. When I want to go on another site a new tab does not open but replace my gmail tab. So I have to use 'back' or 'story' to return to the gmail page. This becomes difficult when I was surfing the web & then have to go back "" across many web pages. I wish that every webpage to open in its own tab. How can I do this?
2. in addition, in the google help center he said: 'If you want to open a link in a new tab instead, just right click on the link and select Open link in a new tab from the context menu." I tried this & the ' Open link in New Tab ' did not appear in the menu. Can you help me find this menu?
If you use Ctrl + left click or middle-click on a link then the link should open in a new tab.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

With the Firefox 4 RC, the 'open in a new tab' and the 'open in a new window' - buttons have changed places. This is quite annoying because I normally do without looking, but now it always opens in a new window instead of a new tab. Is it possible to restore it? Perhaps in your own settings?
You can use the menu editor extension to reorganize menu items - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor

When I click on a url, it should open in a new tab; why it opens in the same tab?
I have my preferences of Mozilla implemented so that whenever I click on a url, it should open in a new tab, but every once in a while, Mozilla goes on the fritz, and open the new url IN THE SAME TAB! I checked my preferences, they are always well positioned. I checked the tools: Options: general: tabs: open the new window in the tab instead. and when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately. If it is always well positioned.
What Miss me?
That preference refers to links that are coded to launch in a new window: start them in a new tab instead of a new window.
Unfortunately, there is no adjustment for the links that are coded to launch in the same tab to start them in a new tab instead of in the same tab. You would need an add-on for that.
Normally, I would you recommend checking out Tab Mix Plus as the 'Swiss Army knife' tab features, but lately, it has a small bug so it has not been last updated in recent days, could you hold off on using it.

You can middle - click a bookmark to open this bookmark in a new tab.
