Why Windows 8 is suddenly saying that I need to activate my window?
I bought my laptop since the year last of PCworld. Windows 8 is already installed when I bought my computer laptop everything was fine and I never had this problem, and my windows was activatedI am sure of that because I was able to customize my pc before it happened what happened since yesterday all of a sudden it says I need to activate my window and he won't let me not customize I tried to click on 'Activate', but it won't let me not as shown on the screencap below.
I then went to the control panel to check my windows activation and he said: it has not been activated as shown in the screencap below
Then I tried to turn it on, but it won't let me and come to this
I went to search for tutorials for solutions and I used 'Command prompt' to try to turn it on but it still does not work it says this as shown in the screencap
I tried to scan and I tried all kinds of solution, but none of them wor. Can someone help me? I heard that your window will expire in 30 days or so, it has been 2 days since then, and I don't know why it doesn't let me do anything. You can help me thanks
Try again by phone:
Help with the activation process, contact technical support.
I noticed this error tends to occur on editions of Windows 8 consumer maybe that something fires these Product Activation 3.0 error messages
You can try waiting to other things:
Press the Windows key + X
Click prompt (admin)
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow
This will check for any breach of integrity
Restart your system

Windows XP Activation loop.
When I turn on my computer it tells me that I need to activate windows. I click on 'YES' it takes me to the activation page and says that Windows is already activated. All I can do is, click 'OK' and he takes me into a log on screen with my name on it and goes through the same process, as described at the beginning of this statement. I'm in a loop. The only way out is to wipe my hard drive and reload windows new who, within 30 days, it will do no doubt once again. How to do this?
For 3 years I rebooted my computer. That's why I reloaded it in the first place. I sent this version of Windows XP by Microsoft and have recharged the system at least 4 times in the past 10 or 11 years.Ken

I installed KB263380 KB2572073 and KB2518864 three times with success; However, I get the yellow shield saying that I need to update to Windows XP
I ran the Mr Fixit for this problem, and briefly, the yellow shield disappeared, I thought that it worked. But as soon as I clicked the solution worked and Mr. Fixit was gone, the yellow shield came back and said that I have to update these once again. Thanks for the article. The icon stopped appearing after the third time I've updated from Windows. Someone must have solved the problem to Microsoft. I did nothing except reboot several times. Finally, the Update icon went in itself.

I have an AS1410 and am upgrading to an SSD. In doing so, I would like to upgrade Windows 7 64 - bit but the Acer Windows 7 upgrade disc says it's only 32-bit. Microsoft says that I need to contact ACER. What I do without buying the 64-bit version?
1.2 processor Celeron SU2300 GHz there does support Inel 64 (64-bit operations) but a decrease in speeds. If Acer is not a upgrade for this option, you will need to buy a 64 bit microsoft update and use the 64-bit acer driver updates.
HE also write on the bios and the cardboard used if the laptop can do 64-bit. In most cases 64-bit is not fully used, even in aming, with the exception of a few more recent titles and x 11 direct. But you still need a faster processor, this model is meenat to reduced labour and mobility.

Im trying to fill the network so my ps2 connections can use the signal wireless to my laptop running vista Basic. When I click to bridge, I get a message saying that I need at least 2 internet connections. is this in any way about this?
Hi Jer9009,
Welcome to the Microsoft answers site.
· Could you give the exact error code or error number you get?
To connect multiple computers, install a network adapter in each and run a network CAT5 cabling to connect each one to a hub (and thus the other.) The computer that will serve as a transition will have a standard network card for wired and a wireless network adapter that will connect to the wireless (WAP) access point or gateway on the second network.
A network bridge is software or hardware that connects two networks or more so that they can communicate. You can create only a single bridge network on a computer, but a bridge can handle any number of network connections.

Computer does not open a floppy disk. He continues to say that they need to get in shape
my machine does not open a floppy disk. He continues to say that they need to be formatted (even brand new ones that really don't need). so I told him to get in shape. within 30-45 seconds, a screen appears and tells me that the disk cannot be formatted. There is no help menu or solution for this that I can find anywhere. I run Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3. the format screen shows my NTFS file system and the disk is listed in RAW format, but there is no way to change this. Help! Lots of info on those records that must be transferred to a more modern storage unit.
Try to get data from old floppy disks can be a nightmare. For starters, the magnetic media is not particularly stable and the disk may simply have deteriorated.
More likely, however, that you use in the problem of the "media descriptor block.
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;309623&Product=winxp and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/140060/en-%20us
There seems to be at least 3 solutions of workarounds for this problem:1. find a Win95 computer with a floppy drive and use it to read the data and transfer it to support more modern.
2. use a disk sector editor as described in 140060 KB (which may or may not work, depending on whether your current disk can read the disc even if Windows allows it to try)
3 install the driver of 'mode 3' discussed in the following thread: http://tinyurl.com/cs5a5rp (Yes, viaarena link still works).
