Server domain membership in the group Windows 2003 functional level - windows API
Hello
I'm a programmer trying to get the members of a group of global domain by using windows server 2008 enterprise edition
in the past it was not a windows server 2003 functional level, but when the 2003 functional level appeared a new features have been added such as the addition of
a global group as a member of another global group in the domain,
in the past, the written API could obtain the Member if the Member is a user, but you cannot find a member if it is a global group.
I use this "NetGroupGetUsers" API to get a members of a domain global group and he gets the users but it does not get the
Members if they were global groups...
I tried an other API "NetLocalGroupGetMembers" it becomes a global group as a member but it only works if the owner was a local group on the server
or on another machine which is added to the server, but this API does not work if the owner of the Group was a domain global group.My question is how to get the members of a global group whose members who are global groups too?
Thank you

I have a domain that was underway at a functional level of 2000 with an Exchange 2003 server. I had a contractor improved functional level of the domain to 2003 to an exchange server 2010 online to replace the Exchange 2003 server, which he did, but I just discovered that there not upgrading the functional level of the forest. We have discovered this as it moves to finally remove the Server 2003 out of the environment and visited account the functional level of the forest has been still in 2000. My question is can we put the 2003 forest functional level, even if the domain is already in 2003 with no impact? I know that this seems to be a classic case of reading is not things through. A viable support or feedback would be greatly appreciated.FYI, first post time!

VMware View 5.3.1 and functional level Windows 2012 R2 Active Directory
Hello
As I read in https://www.vmware.com/support/view53/doc/horizon-view-531-release-notes.html
VMware View Horizon does not support the Windows Server 2012 Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) domain functional level. You can use Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 AD DS with Horizon of VMware View domain functional levels.
Does this mean I can install VMware View 5.3.1 in an environment with Win 2012 R2 AD set to Win 2003/2008/2008 R2 functional level?
It is a facility supported?
Kind regards
Does this mean I can install VMware View 5.3.1 in an environment with Win 2012 R2 AD set to Win 2003/2008/2008 R2 functional level?
Yes that's correct.

ACS 5.3 compatibility with functional level
Hello everyone, I have a question about the compatibility of the ACS.
I saw that ACS 5.3 is not compatible with 2012 AD, but is compatible with 2012 AD directory configured at the functional level in 2008?
Has anyone tried it? Authentication is ok?
Thanks for your help
Hello
I would like to inform that 5.3 ACS supports up to 2008 R2.
http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_contro...
If you have a forest functional level 2008 value and the functional level of the domain defined on 2012.
I saw that ACS 5.3 does not work correctly when you try to attach to and authenticate users in the functional 2012 AD / forest.
I recommend you to upgrade at least 5.5 ACS.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Updated a single domain controller AD by adding a second AD (which was 2003) now dhcp rejects all the vista and win7 machines and will not allow the 2008 Server to work. If I assign a dedicated IP, the function of workstations (several services still not start), but the server can ping and dns to resolve names but network location service does not start.

Re: Function keys issue in Toshiba M50DA103 with Linux
Hi all
I bought this Toshiba M50DA103 to eventually eliminate the pre-installed Windows 8 and install my flavor of Linux on it instead. However, there is a problem annoying with the function keys, a problem that appeared after I installed Ubuntu Linux. The function keys appear to all foires (the key which is supposed to increase the brightness suspends the computer instead, and so on.)
First of all, I thought that this could be a problem with Ubuntu only, but then I tried to boot Fedora, and the problem is always the same. That being said, it could be a matter of core, or a problem of hardware compatibility.
Could you please give me some ideas on what I can do to fix it? In fact, I have discussed this matter with the Ubuntu forums guys, but could not reach a solution.
Please help, if possible.
Thank you.
Hello
I tried to understand the situation of the hotkey and belive it works like this:
The kernel has a certain driver, toshiba_acpi, who handles the events from the keyboard shortcut key.
The driver is for a reason any confused about the layout of shortcut keys.
I think that most of the distros uses the same driver for the kernel, so it won't do much good to exchange for another.You mention the unit suspended when it is supposed to reduce the brightness.
This is how was the plu layout of Toshiba - FN + F3 = standby, hibernation = FN + F4.So what is happening is that the driver react the "old way".
I reached out to the maintainer of the pilot to ask questions about how it works.
Don't expect miracles or even any improvement at all.
But if we are lucky, we can find the roommate of changes.Tom BR

Basic functions and issues related to the Internet after virus removal
I hope someone can help with my daughter's laptop. I think this is the right forum.
Back in March she got a rogue virus on his laptop computer. It has been removed successfully, but the programs on his personal user account have still some problems. She tries to open any program by double-clicking its icon, a screen will appear asking you to choose a program from a list to open it with. If instead, she clicks on the icon of the program and chooses to start, it opens fine (but is very painful to have to do so every time). In addition, some basic on this user account functions do not work (it does not receive some pop-up windows to the top when it should, the scroll bar on its mouse pad no longer works, programs configured to start at startup must be started manually, etc.). Finally, after being and deletion of another rogue virus a few weeks ago, the internet on his personal user account stopped working, only display a "Cannot display the Web page" page even if network connections show that it is connected to the internet. NOTE: None of these problems exist on the administrator account or if she is invited to log on as an administrator.
A gifted friend computer has helped to ensure that the computer is free of any virus or malware but was not able to understand how to fix this user account. It was suggested to delete this account and create a new user, but she doesn't want to have to do that, if possible, since she spent a lot of time customizing.
The laptop is a HP Touchsmart PC with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (x 64), AMD Turion X 2 Dual - Core Mobile RM-75.
Thanks in advance!
Ok.
Here's a little advice for her on the copy of files on new accounts:

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile
After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

Table / function Scoping issue
Hi all
Can someone confirm this please?
If I declare an array in a function, this table is available and accessible in the scope of this function? In other words, have a local scope to function only?
I ask because I can't access the values in the table outside the determinant function.
For example:
function myFunc () {}
any other code, for example by specifying the length of array, etc.
for (i = 0; i < myArray.length; i ++) {}
myArray [i] = currentValue + i;
}
another code
}
trace (myArray); not defined here appears.What I have to do something like this inside the function to make the values available for the root and other functions?
_root.myArrayGlobal = myArray; inside the function
trace (myArrayGlobal); This then seems to work outside the service
I just want to confirm to the only question that I have a scope.
If so is it the way to 'best practices' to do?
Thank you
Best regards
Chris
Yes, declare a variable in a function give it scope only within this function. To remedy to your problem just to report apart from the function, not inside (and since you show not actually declaring, just in case, always report using "var").
var monTableau = new Array();
function myFunc () {}
any other code, for example by specifying the length of array, etc.
for (i = 0; i
myArray [i] = currentValue + i;
}
another code
}
trace (myArray); not defined here appears.

Analytical function - COUNT issue
Hi all
DB Oracle 11 g running on 64-bit Linux x 86 platform...
I'm curious to know why the underside of two sets of queries produce different results.
Q 1
------
WITH TEMP AS
(
SELECT 'A' VAL BY DOUBLE UNION ALL 5
SELECT 'A' VAL BY 7 OF DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'FIVE' VAL BY 17 DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'FOUR' VAL BY 0 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL BY 78 OF DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL BY 34 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL, PAR 4 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'TWO' VAL BY 6 IN DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT "TWO" VAL, 12 BY DOUBLE
)
SELECT SUM (BY) OVER SEPARATE (PARTITION OF VAL), VAL NTC TEMP.
Q2
----
WITH TEMP AS
(
SELECT 'A' VAL BY DOUBLE UNION ALL 5
SELECT 'A' VAL BY 7 OF DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'FIVE' VAL BY 17 DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'FOUR' VAL BY 0 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL BY 78 OF DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL BY 34 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'THREE' VAL, PAR 4 FROM DUAL UNION ALL
SELECT 'TWO' VAL BY 6 IN DOUBLE UNION ALL
SELECT "TWO" VAL, 12 BY DOUBLE
)
SELECT SUM (BY) SEPARATE DURING THE CNT (PARTITION BY ORDER OF VAL BY IRON), VAL TEMP;
The only difference between the 2 queries is that Q2 has the additional "ORDER BY".
For the 2nd quarter, I am assuming that the partitions are classified by the RAILWAY and the SUM is applied on the partition. Obviously, the results prove that my assumption is wrong.
So, Q2 is as good as select * TEMP;
Hello
You're right about 'ORDER BY per'; This means that the SUM will be the lowest nominal value up to and including the current line.
I think you're ignoring "PARTITION BY val", which means that each distinct value of val will be a world in itself, not affected by all the lines with a different value of val. Val is different on each row, it means that the indicated SUM will always be the SUM of just 1 point, so SUM (RAP) will be the same only by.
Try it without the PARTITION BY clause.

Migration win2003 win2008R2 impact on ACS?
We use AD to windows 2003 functional level and going to AD to the functional level of windows 2008R2

Hey Ralph,.
4.2 of the ACS is touched by it.
It does not support 2008 R2.
ACS 5.5 is not affected by this upgrade.

Windows Server 2012 - create the existing Windows Server 2003 domain controller.
Hello.
I am currently working on adding a domain controller Windows Server 2012 and field existing Windows 2003. My current domain controller (Server 2003) had a level of functiontional of Windows 2000 server, when I first tried to add the server DC 2012. I changed the functional level of the domain on the Server 2003 Windows 2003 (it is the only domain controller in the tree). When I try to add the Server Server 2012, he reports that this domain is a Windows 2000 domain. I checked and restarted the 2003 server. Does anyone know why the 2012 still sees the field as 2000 functional level?
Thank you
