Windows Update page does not load
This has just begun. When I click on the update of Windows, the page comes up saying, "the page failed to load. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit.
Start at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

I would start with reset, if that doesn't work try the SFC, but if you use a third party program like Stardock the thread may be of particular interest.

It seems to me that you can have to deal with a virus\malware infection. You can watch these threads discuss virus problems and see if you are able to detect problems, that I suggest you use an online scanner (if you are able to) and scan your system.Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner Windows 7\Vista

Whenever I try to access my computer as well as information on the performance and management of network and sharing Center says page failed to load. Help, please.
Hello
Those who are closely related to EI so please do these:
What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you ALREADY had on this
machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK
Close IE and restart IE
Looking for unusual Addons, BHO and other:
IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.Could be that a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run - not all
are bad, but some can cause your question (toolbars are BHO).

Error, "Page failed to Load", while customizing the control panel.
Hello
I recently inherited a second hand dell tower which has Windows 7.
Everything seems to have set up ok but when I go into control panel customization, I get the message "Page failed to Load".
After having sniffed around, it seems that the Control Panel does not use a program that the computer recognizes.
I went through various forums for the answer, but nothing helped.
Any suggestions?
Hello
Thank you for the update. It is unfortunate to know that you still experience this issue.
As you are facing the issue in the safe mode, as well as in the new user account, it seems that there is corruption of system files that cannot be replaced by the new file system. But, you can also try to check your hard disk for errors of the last step. Read the following article.
Check your hard drive to find errors in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2641432/en-us
Warning: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.
Please, try the steps above and update with the State.
Thanks again for we keep posted!

my systems page will not open error message "the page failed to load".

my systems page opens not after going under maintenance then system and Control Panel. This shows simply "the page failed to load". I need to access this page to share files from one computer to the other. can anyone help?
Hi Sarah Brown,.
(1) remember you to make changes prior to this problem?
(2) what is the complete error message you receive?
Method 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference
Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks
Note:
Fixit would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of data loss from that particular area.
Method 2: if a Protection of resources Windows (WRP) file is missing or is damaged, Windows may not behave as expected. Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Hello, spearbc
Please use the Forum for answers!
Have you installed a software between yesterday and today?
To clarify, you get this error in the centre network and sharing, correct? (Image)
You can try to run the System File Checker and let us know the results, analyze the system-protected files and replace the incorrect versions with correct versions of the files Microsoft.
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
We can't wait to hear back on your part.

Center network and sharing Center shows "Page failed to load".
On Windows Vista, Network and Sharing Center comes with a blank page except for text in the middle and says 'The Page impossible to load' steps, I tried:
Clean boot
SFC/scannow
CHKDSK /r
System Restore (has not only once other succeeded, but does not solve the problem)
None of them have worked. I have reviewed the SFC newspaper and looked at DLL files, it says could not be fixed and replaced those with well known copies.
A clean install is not a good option in this case either. My thoughts are that it is a corrupt DLL somewhere or a DLL that has incorrect permissions.
On another note, I can't connect to wireless networks either. To be more exact, no networks appear in the list (I can connect by typing the SSID manually. The pop-up icon wireless in the status bar indicates "networks are available", but the list shows no. I believe that these two issues are related. Please give suggestions and connents, I appreciate all help.
Thank you.
Hello
Do you remember any change to your computer before the problem?
Search for related errors and Event Viewer .I suggest that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.
Step 1:
You can uninstall the drivers for the network adapters in the Device Manager and reinstall the same.
To uninstall the wireless device manager,
1. click on Start , type Device Manager in the start search box and press ENTER.
2 locate the network adapters and expand the same.
3. Select the adapter, right click and selectUninstall.
4 restart the computer, if prompted.
Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.
Note: Before uninstalling the drivers from Device Manager, make sure that you have a backup installation files.
Step 2:
A. If not help, to create a new user account and check if the problem persists.
B. Si the problem is resolved in a new user profile, then probably you had a corrupted profile and can be remedied .
