  I recently bought 2 bits of software that contain the Apple and Microsoft (Vista) versions on one CD.  When I insert the CD into my Vista PC, it can not find or load the installation files.  Instead, if I look at what is on the drive, I see an icon of the Red Apple.  If I put the same CD on Vista PC to my wife, it loads correctly.  If I load the version of WIndows 7 software, it loads correctly and run the program until he acknowledges that the operating system is Vista not Windows 7.  Something triggered something on my Vista PC to do brand new loading on my CD player program needs to ignore files in vista and show files apple as if they were independent.  Is there a toggle for this problem?  If I run the software of Microsoft ' Fix It' - the solution that I see on most boards, it does not.  As far as I know, other Vista users are facing this problem without solution by MIcrosoft or any other tech tips.

  The problem is with a program from Mediafour.  It's called xplay 3.  If you uninstall this program, everything works fine.

• Apple Watch does not connect to the iPhone 6

  After updating my iPhone to IOS 9.3.3 6 all my bluetooth devices registered were gone including my Apple Watch. Now, it appears under "other devices" so I can't connect it. I already started my bluetooth and off and reset my iPhone but nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you.

  Your watch is not supposed to be listed under "Other devices" on your iPhone (settings > Bluetooth), but it should be included in the section "my devices".

  To check the connection status of your watch to your iPhone, go to the eye of settings on your watch:

  • When you view the time on your watch dial, slide up from the bottom edge of the screen, then swipe left / right until you find the glance of parameters. This will specify connected or disconnected:
    • Connected and a symbol of green phone in the upper right shows that the watch is connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
    • Connected and a green cloud symbol indicates that your watch is disconnected from your iPhone via Bluetooth, but rather connected (as a backup) to a known Wi - Fi network.
    • Disconnected shows that your watch is disconnected from your iPhone and is not connected to a Wi - Fi network. The symbol in the upper right corner will be a red telephone with a line through it. The same symbol will also see the top of the watch face.
  • Slide down again to return to the watch face.

• Apple Watch does not ask for password

  In recent days, I discovered something disturbing.  If I take off my Apple Watch and put back on without having to type in the code 4 digit, even after an extra charge per night, it will not ask for a password after an hour or two and works normally.  If it's supposed to happen?  I couldn't find anything in the support forums.

  If you use the following settings:

  -On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > detection of wrist - on.

  -On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: Watch My > password > enabled.

  -Also on screen settings of password - unlock with iPhone turned on.

  Then, after putting on your wrist, your watch will unlock after whatever you do first: unlock your watch manually (by entering the access code) or unlock your iPhone.

  Then, it will remain unlocked (including when the screen is idle) until you remove it from your wrist. When you remove your watch, it locks automatically.

  Its propably because you do not have a DNS server configured for VPN users. Try this command:

   group-policy DfltGrpPolicy attributes dns-server value 8.8.8.8

• OfficeJet 6500 and router Wireless does not connect

  I just bought an Officejet 6500 and try to connect to my wireless router.  Whenever I try to connect the printer to wireless it crashes.  The power button does not light, but the screen is lit without text.  At this point, I can't close or get it running again.  I am running Vista Business 64-bit, and the router is a 2wire 1800 HG through AT & T.  It works very well with a usb connection.

  I think you just meet a known issue with some printers of HP network with routers 2WIRE AT & T DSL.

  Have identified us the problem and will deploy an update in the future.  So far, the work around is to assign a static IP address to the printer. Here's a way to do this:

  1. Unplug the phone line from the 2WIRE router
  2. Cut the power to the 2WIRE router, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the power.
  3. Go through the normal process of the printer connected to the 2WIRE (Ethernet or Wi - Fi) device. The printer will not crash as long as the telephone line is disconnected from the 2WIRE device.
  4. The Officejet front panel, go to the menu of 'Advanced Setup' under 'network '.
  5. Select 'Settings of intellectual property', acknowledge receipt of the warning and select "" manual IP ".
  6. Select "IP address" and change the last group of IPS (byte) to something higher or lower. Specifically to your 2WIRE router, select 192.168.0.60.
  7. Press Ok and plug the phone line into the 2WIRE router.

  Because you cannot find your network, the SSID is hidden by the router? If so, you need to select other, and then enter the SSID and password yourself.

  My Apple TV suddenly stopped to find wifi 3 days ago.  I have a Mac in the same room that locates the wifi fine.  My iPhone is also wifi from the same room.  So I took my BIKE to the Apple store for assistance.  They managed to make it work; However when I got home, I could still find no connection.  Went to the Apple store and they sold me a new ATV (model A1469 using ATV 7.2), but it has the same problem.  Using the Time-Warner internet service and my wifi has 2 networks, one for 5G and one for devices more alumni who will not work with the 5G (LTE).  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi all. Vocation of the Ireland! I have just registered to a local Irish Internet provider and was provided with a Cisco EPC3925 router. Wireless works great for laptop and iPad. However I can't share my iTunes library with Apple TV. I plugged the Ethernet cable and it worked perfectly. However, as soon as I log out, so too is home Exchange. I have disabled the windows firewall and completely uninstalled macafee firewall. I'm using windows vista and have the latest version of iTunes installed. Can someone tell what I could do to fix this issue? Preference in simple terms that I'm really not very tech savvy. Thanks in advance. Pat

  I bought a new iMac 21.5 inches (retina, end of 2015) El Captain 10.11.4 running.  I bought two (not 1) Apple SuperDrive, and none of them work on this iMac.  I took SuperDives both at the Apple Store and they cooked up their Macbook Pro or similar TIME without problem iMacs.  They tested BOTH of my SuperDrive with no problems. They said it seems that my iMac is the culprit. I came home and ran the Apple Diagnostics program (reboot and press D).  No problems have been found.  I checked the SystemsPreferences and when you connect, readers will appear under connected USB devices. But my iMac will not rise (i.e., it will not take any disc inserted). Am I missing a driver or software program? Am I missing an extension?  Really need to help my Apple community gurus to help me solve this problem. I can't believe this.
