  • When I close my laptop, he kills WiFi to all other devices in my house, how can I stop this?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite

If this laptop is to control the WiFi network then I suspect your power management has the lid lose the action defined in the stop / standby / hibernation.

See Control Panel, power options, change the parameters of plan, advanced to change settings of power, power buttons & cover, action to close cover, battery - plugged.

I might have this wrong, I don't see this element of the power management changes without your knowledge.

  • IOS 10.0.2 WiFi not connecting

    Hello

This morning, I had a problem with my IPad 4 (MK6J2B/A) and my Iphone 6s (MKQN2B/A).

Both devices unloaded during the night and the charge in the morning, both devices would not connect to my WiFi (BT Home Hub 6) even though they have both been previously connected to my WiFi for weeks. Both have a checkmark beside the connection, but not the WiFi icon in the upper left corner. Safari says not connected to the internet. I tried several thing, like plane, reset BT Hub etc., but both have refused to sign. I did a reset on both devices and the Iphone came back and logged in as normal. However, the Ipad has refused to connect or at least with the WiFi icon.

Surfing on the net and found a large number of people with the same problems. Followed suggestions, as I forgot network password and enter again, reset network etc, but nothing has worked. The only option to reset the whole device and start again. BUT when I tried to remove and delete, of course has been asked to enter my Apple ID to continue. No internet so would not remove.

I have a hotspot Wifi BT close to home then I connected with that and she. This should make me stop and think that it was something inside the House, but once again, SO I continued and deleted the IPad. From the start of my cool Ipad, follow the instructions until it is necessary to connect to the internet. Had even a tick but no icon of Wifi and no internet, so no way to rebuild or restore my Ipad. SCREAMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Out the laptop to rebuild through iTunes, which was obsolete, then click on update and google in the meantime, no problems with the iPad, but with iPad connection to BT Home hub 6. Found a very small post with similar problems and he said to disconnect the hub (WIRED) AppleTV. As soon as I pulled the plug on the AppleTV my iPad connected instantly.

Wow what a waste of two hours of my life. Don't know if it's hub problem AppleTV or BT, or both, but my AppleTV is now to stay on the WiFi connection and NO cable connection in the future.

Hope that my pain will help someone else to solve the same problems.

So thank you for much for this!

I had this thing this morning, 1 iPad a household of 6 different devices does not connect.  My Apple TV has been connected via WIFI, I just turned off of Apple TV - box and connected iPad itself.

This happened only a day after the installation of a HomeHu6...

  • Can not connect to the WiFi on MacMini 2014

When I try to connect to any WiFi on my MacMini it says ' Unable to join, try to get closer the router. but the router is right next to my Macmini.

In addition, my wifi connection is correct. It is easily connected to my iPad and iPhone.

I tried transferring a file using release from my iPad to MacMini. It worked.

When I tried to connect to the MacMini with ethernet cable, it worked too!

The only problem is that I can't connect to the router using the wifi on my MacMini.

    What should I do?

What can I do? A fix is even planned? ! Running the latest iOS with all the patches etc in place. Tried to close everything and restart both devices and the router etc, but disable Bluetooth is so far the only thing that makes the difference. My old mini iPad and iPhone 6 were very good, but I traded them in

Hello. If you use a 2.4 GHz, instead of the most recent 5 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth uses the same frequency band and may interfere with it. Try to change to 5 GHz, ir your router supports.

  • Update iOS 10 wifi bars display, why?

Why the wifi bars do not display now that I upgraded my Pro iPad to iOS 10?

    Hi there ReneeMB!

Thank you for bringing your question on the bars of Wi - Fi on your iPad Pro not displaying no not after upgrading to iOS 10 Community Support from Apple.  I upgraded my iPad iOS 10 mini too and am happy to help you with your problem.

You mention that the Wi - Fi connection bars are not displayed, but not be able to connect to Wi - Fi.  I'll provide answers to every situation to help you.

If you are unable to connect to WiFi after update, I have an article that addresses this issue:

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi - Fi network

Quite often it is useful to check if the WiFi is enabled and also flight Mode is on.  To check:

    1. Settings > airplane Mode should be gray (toggled off)
    2. Settings > Wi - Fi must indicate the name of the network you are connected to
      1. If there is no network named beside him, tap on Wi - Fi and make sure that it is green (toggled on)
      2. Under CHOOSE a NETWORK, don't forget the network you want to connect is listed
      3. Tap the network you want to connect, it may need a password
      4. If you can join but still can't connect to the Internet, don't forget to see if other devices can connect
      5. If you can see the network but cannot connect to the Internet you can also power cycle the router (turn off, unplug, wait a few minutes, plug it back it, try to connect to this new)

If you are able to connect to Internet but you do not see the WiFi bars, we will try to close the iPad and leave:

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    Best wishes.

  • The Airport Extreme WiFi intermittent 2nd generation

I'm having a weird problem with loss of WiFi on my Apple Airport Extreme.

My 2nd generation that apple Airport Extreme Base Station began to close its WiFi broad signal several times.  It happens usually after 60 minutes or less works very well.  Power on and the new runs for awhile until it stops again the WiFi.  Green light normally forward either static rest without flickering to indicate data transfer, or it will just dark.  Sometimes it will turn off WiFi and then restart WiFi a few minutes later and appear to be good.  But mostly it just stops and I can, he extinguished/turned on to operate correctly with the WiFi again.

Airport Extreme is connected by ethernet cable to my modem/router main fiber (which is a different floor home) and it is set to "Bridge" Mode  It worked without any problems and I did no changes to my system.  My ISP did update my modem broadband fiber a few weeks ago to a "Virgin Media Hub 3.0"I understand was made by Compal.»  It seems to work perfectly and I have no problems with speed download or reliability in wireframe.  I was away from home for about a week and was able to access my wireless IP camera remotely via my Airport Extreme with no problems.  The problem started almost immediately on my return, but, as I said, I did no changes to my network.  I have never had this kind of problem before with my Airport Extreme.

I am running OS X Yosemite on an iMac that is connected by a cable ethernet to the Airport Extreme and seems to work very well even when WiFi is de-energized on the Airport Extreme.  Airport utility reports the airport as current firmware version 7.6.7.

I used network utility, Fing, and it showed that my Airport Extreme has multiple IP addresses, which seem to conflict with the IP address for my three AppleTV.  I manually changed the IP addresses of the Apple TV to another IP address not conflicting, but Fing always shows that my Airport Extreme has three IP addresses and I still have the problem of WiFi.

Any other suggestions on a probable cause of this problem or the best way to solve the problem would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • I have wifi connection problems to my G5 iMac.

I recently got a G5 iMac. I put it on the floor about 10-15 feet of my modem/router. It's in another room, so I'm not able to use an Etherent cable. It has an Airport card, but I was unable to find my wifi. Do I need an Airport base station and if so this model/type?

Provide some additional details may be relevant to the problem.  There are several models of iMac G5.  Here is a list of all iMac models.  What model do you have?

    http://www.EveryMac.com/systems/Apple/iMac/index-iMac.html

Also, what version of Mac OS X turns?  You can select about this Mac from the Apple menu to get information about your system.

You do not need an Apple Airport access point.  But your router's wireless settings a difference.  For example, the last iMac G5 model (from 2005) has only 802.11b and g wireless, not of 802.11n (unless you use a third-party add-on).  Make sure your wireless router is not set to 802.11n only.

Like test, place the iMac that is close enough to your router so that you can connect using an Ethernet cable.  Do you have an Internet connection?  If so, select software update from the Apple menu to confirm that you are running the latest version of the system possible for your version of Mac OS X.  If there is an update, try the connection Wireless again after the update.

  • My wifi/internet is very slow since the IPhone Update 9.3.4.

I have an IPhone 6 and since the update (3 days ago) my wifi/Internet is very slow.

Minutes of need for pages to load, and the App Store and the ITunes App not to load any. Photos and videos need a time very Long if they work at all.

The wireless router is not the problem because my laptop works fine with it.

    Thank you for responding!

Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom.

Alternatively, you can try to reset the App Store first, since it won't load at all. Please follow these steps:

Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

    Then restart the unit.

Then sign into the iTunes Store and try to download again.

    (1) restart you device.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for 2.4 band.

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes. Try to restore as New first and test it. If ok try to restore the backup (the backup may be corrupted).

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201252

    (9) go to the Apple store for the evaluation of the material. The Wi - Fi chip or the antenna could be faulty.

  • GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth problems

So I have an iPhone 6 running on IOS 9.3.4 and have had problems with the GPS and the strength of wifi connectivity and bluetooth for a while now.

First of all, the GPS.  It does not work.  When I run the maps or google maps on my device and the input an address the app can give me a written plan, location, but will not show me on a map.  He'll start road to everywhere where I go and tell me to start position, for example, to the North on the road on that I am, but the arrow does not follow me and tell me when the turn or where I am.  Occasionally, he has a message of guidance down with a spinning wheel and then, after a few seconds, disappears.  I tried to reboot my device several times, I have reset the network setting, I reset all of the settings, I backed up my phone, reset it and recovered save him.  Nothing has worked.  I was at my local verizon store and received a 'new' (its definitely refurbished) phone and the problem persists on the new phone.  I reset the phone to factory setting without content, set up as a new phone and tried the cards again, thinking it might be a problem with the back to the top.  It still does not work.  I'm perplexed right now and do not know what to do/try.

Second, wifi and bluetooth connectivity is terrible.  I can only receive a wireless signal so that in very close proximity with the router.  I tried to different houses/companies and it is the same question.  However, bluetooth is just as bad.  I use headphones wireless, and go to the gym/go for the route with them.  I used to be able to walk around the gym without my phone and have connected the headphones, but now I can't have my phone 2 feet of the appliance without the music being agitated (bad connection).  I'm really irritated that I cannot understand this point and that he can't seem to find a fixed solution online.

If you have just updated to iOS 9.3.4, which I didn't even know still shone, so maybe it's a bug that comes with the update. However, your problems seem to follow a trend, you can not far from a source of connection and now a signal. It is perhaps because the necessary components for the Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi signal are damaged or defective. Have you dropped or spilled liquid on your iPhone recently?
