Wifi connection first

I tried to connect to the wifi area with a Belkin adapter connected to windows xp pro desktop pc. When I'm Home I can get several wireless stations local but none in wireless location. I tried to connect my linksys router and have my adapter connect. He worked at the location of the wifi but not Internet and no locaton present wifi signal. Also no wifi in view. Is my lack of wifi or problem signal weak or what I need to do something more? Thank you

Housing is a former brick hotel. The room is on the 6th floor. The street has a sign indicating that it is a free area of fi wi.

When I positioned the belkin adapter it's out the window. It is not the most powerful adapter. I need a new one and bought a more powerful linksys adapter makes 1,200 feet. Maybe he will.

Is it possible to transmit to my pc with the card without going through the router? When I finally used the router at home, he was connected to an optical fiber dsl line. I had other signals that were encrypted and unavailable. What I don't understand, is why I don't get any signals at this new location in downtown.

When I first started all I got a message saying that I had no connection. I then installed the router, put in the web code and was able to go wireless to the router.  .  My cell phone works on the same site. Of course, it's the way to learn this stuff... What is an outdoor antenna? Is it similar to those who bring TV signals or is this another special feature?

    Hello

Before you begin to uninstall or reinstall some Toshiba firmware, I would like to know what Satellite L550D-xxx you exactly.

The point is that different L550D models were equipped with a different wireless network cards.
Not quite sure if your have a Realtek Wlan card. It looks like a Realtek LAN card.

However, you must first check if the wireless network card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager.
In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, you should see LAN and WLan card.
In the case where the card WLan display correctly (no yellow exclamation) WLan driver installation is not necessary.

In this case, you should go to the next step: check if you can enable / disable the wireless network adapter using the FN + F8 key combination.
Where this is not possible, check if other keys FN function.
Where other keys FN don t work, you must reinstall the software mentioned (Toshiba Value Package added, Flash cards).

This can be done in the control panel-> programs & features
After that the two software can be removed, clean the system using CCLeaner.
Now, you can check the EU Toshiba driver page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp to download the software deleted.
Installation is easy; Unzip the package and run the installation exe file

Then you should be able to use the FN + F8
After that the WiFi network has been successfully activated, go to the network & sharing Center-> manage wireless (left) and click Add to configure the new wireless network

  • Satellite A300 - give up WIFI connection

I recently bought a Satellite A300, but unfortunately it keeps down the internet WIFI connection while surfing the net.
It's only recently, in the last 2 weeks and I did not install new software that can do this.

I have a connection by wireless modem netgear aged 12 months which is connected to my main computer (wireless).
I use a secure connection which needs a wep key and is compatible with Windows Vista.

I also use this connection for my laptop from a different manufacture that I have no problem with. I also have Wifi on Wii and Xbox so I was wondering if there could be interference. Xbox Cup connection also.
I have only 2 related both objects and they are not even in the same place or even near each other...

When I diagnose the problem it says weak signal, but the intensity of the signal on the computer shows excellent.
If I plug the ethernet cable then everything works fine.

Very puzzled as to why this happens, having run checks virus on computers and nothing.
Uninstalling the connectivity doctor, still no joy.
All that it suggest that there is problem ISP but given that I can connect to my other laptop and desktop PC and no problems so do not know if it is...

Can someone help, I'm not very technical and am now very mentally drained

    Thank you

    Hello!

First of all, you must update your WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

He recommended to disable some options that could have an impact on the energy-saving WLAN functionality.
In your case I would deactivate the energy saving WLAN and maybe this document option is useful for you

  • NB305 - impossible to get a WiFi connection

Bought a new NB305 today. Set up (apparently) OK, but I can't get a WiFi connection. It recognizes my home network but will not connect. Convenience store etc can not solve.
I can connect using a T-Mobile dongle only.

The netbook runs Windows 7 Starter and I have a Belkin F5D8632-4 v1 router. Is that what may be a compatibility problem between Windows 7 and router? I checked the drivers wireless on the netbook and the two are the latest versions.

After having spent the last hour or so looking through this forum and others and tried various things, I am now at a loss.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Nickverwood,

In my opinion he should t be a compatibility problem between Windows 7 and your router. Normally, you can connect to the router with all operating systems.

It would be interesting to why you can t connect. Are you prompt for the password for WIFI and you use the right one?
Maybe you have enabled filtering of MAC addresses on the router to allow the MAC address of the NB305 first before can connect you.

Have you tried an update firmware for the router?

  • Satellite M60 guard give up WiFi connection

An M60-144, I provided one of my clients has problems with its WiFi connection. It will be ok for 5 to 10 minutes, and then suddenly will drop the connection. Turning off the WiFi and back on again remakes the connection and everything is very well for 5 or 10 minutes.

The access point is a Draytek Vigor 2600 G and there are other laptop (Portege R100, R200 Portege and Tecra 9000 Tecra A2) that all connect to the same access point to the same place without any problem. The AP employs 128-bit WEP encryption runs in mode 11b and 11g of mixtures. Any other potential sources of interference, for example the DECT phones have been rejected.

The laptop has all the updates of Windows applied and drivers the most recent site. For me, it screams of a hardware problem with the wireless card, but wanted to know if there are other suggestions first?

    Hello

I read a few topics on similar problems and in most cases, the update of the WiFi pilot solves the unstable Wi - Fi connection. As far as I know on the Intel Web site you will also find a newer version of the driver. In my opinion, you should check this option.

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 13-s195nr and problems with wireless disconnection. In Device Manager, click network adapters. Find network adapters, your wireless network and on the right, click on it and then go to the power management tab and uncheck sur-autoriser computer to turn off this device to save power.

Here is a link for troubleshooting wireless connection, if you need.

  • BlackBerry Q5 carrier bbm blocking on the WiFi connection?

I just wanted to confirm if this is possible, because I've tried the two carriers of the and Etisalat. BBM no longer works on my Wifi connection, and carrier logos appear when I start my phone.

I was using my Q5 for 9 months and never paid for the service of data/BBM because I keep this phone at home. It arrived 3 days when I started seeing my carrier logo.

In the settings it shows 'Unlocked '.

When I remove the sim card, then bbm will connect automatically.

Is there a problem with the software or is - the carriers to play.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Interesting... and possibly caused by different problems. I've heard of carriers blocking services BB owners by something else that their network data, but only in what concerns the devices inherited from BIS, not (yet... yours could be the first) with BB10. In addition, there are also reports of problems on certain carriers if BIS service is at all in service to your account with BB10 device... BB10 does not BIS, but sometimes they BIS is no problem, while other times that there are problems.

In addition, there was a bug known to the WiFi in the OS, so depending on your level of BONES of BB10, this could be this known bug that was healed (hopefully!) in future releases. I recommend that you check your level of operating system and if you are not on 10.2.1.3247 that you update immediately to him through Knowyou:

Good luck and let us know!

Thus, each transport time select TCP when BIS, WIFI not presend and need for apn

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Priv and Fuji Instax share App (needs to control WiFi connections)

    Hey all,.

as I have found no e-mail address to communicate directly with Blackberry on this problem (I hate to use Twitter, their support is atrocious (using answers pre-formulated to 'help you')), I hope I can find help from you guys.

When you use the 'Instax Share' app to print photos from my private, it does not work.

First, you will need to connect to the printer via WiFi (this step works), but I can't change the printer settings in the app. Can I not send my photos to the printer.

When I try, I get the error message "no printer not found", even though I am obviously linked to the unit.

When you check the extended permission settings, the field that would allow the application control WiFi connections is gray. The only parameters that can be modified are access to contacts, memory, taking photos and video and GPS.

Anyone got a good idea on how to solve this problem?

My guess: Priv Android is coded too sure. Furthermore, I use Android 6.0.1.

P.S.: the application works on any non-Blackberry-Android phone (rooted and without root).

OK, so to clarify, this isn't a device of BES. In addition, you can control completely independent WiFi connections on the device. But the application cannot control the WiFi connections, that he must perform in order to function. Fix?

If it is accurate, then it continues to point to the application itself, not the device or the device OS... When you installed the application, he should have asked approve you a variety of security access so that it will run... If you do not approve those, you have limited it. If she has not asked for approval, then the application developer needs to fix this.

  • How to do an http Basic by wifi connection just without data plan?

Ok. Here's the situation: I have developed an application that makes a connection http Basic (connector.open (url)). It woks fine on Simulator course since it uses the mds Simulator. I'm targeting os 5 and above. Now I started to test on the actual device (curve 9300). The real problem is how can I go out with just a default connection. I mean a generic that doesn't care what type of transport, the phone has and uses only the default. As you know has 9300 WiFi. So hopefully I should be able to connect using my wifi at home. On the phone, I can establish connection wifi fine. The phone's browser do not allow through well. He complains: (error! wifi detected...) We are not able to authenticate you as you are not currently a Rogers... Please turn off your wifi connection, and launch your browser to try again). Well, if it means that I'm not on Rogers, it is not correct, as my base phone package is with Rogers, the SIM set in the phone. I tried his suggestion and of course, it does not work!

What encourages me that it should work in principle, but I have two phone applications (Opera mini and google map) who are able to go online and make the connection.

I tried to use a combination of parameters attached to the url, as follows:

    1. just by default without any parameter

    2 - deviceside = true

    3 - deviceside = true; = wifi interface

I also experimented with different options on options tcp apn:

    1 disabling APN setting

2-activation parameter APN with internet.com, with comments from user and password

setting of AFN 3 activation internet.com with wapuser1 and wap for the user name and password.

To "manage connections", I have the following question similarly checked:

    -Network mobile Rogers...

    Dlink_RezaNetwork - Wi - Fi...

    -BlueTooth feature is disabled

I wonder out exactly the Mobile network connection? I guess that's my basic phone plan puts online. I will be happy if that's the case for my app by there rather than the wifi connection if that is indeed what Opera mini and google map. But sorry to disappoint you, because even if I disable the first connection (i.e. Mobile network Rogers...) I am still able to use these two apps without problem! It makes me happy because it difinitely says I should be able to go online using only my wifi without data plan!

On connection icons at the top of the phone to the right, I see the following

    Rogers - dlink.RezaNetwork 3 G (icon of the resistance)

    WiFi

As you can see, my phone is connected to the wifi in my house.

Anyway, after all this detail, anyone know if there is a solution to this problem? I mean google map and Opera Mini are able to go online without problem.

In full respect, please don't refer me to read this or that doc I did those before you come and ask questions. But even if there is a doc that you think really go to address above concerns more precisely I'll gladly read

I use eclipse for development and just well on Simulator.

This is the result I get when I run the app through the eclipse on the device:

    (1) for the case when only a Wifi connection is enabled on the device connector.open (url) is called with no additional parameters, I get the error: net.rim.device.internal.io.criticalioexception: required radio isn't avtive.

    (2) for the case with wifi interface parameter defined as follows:

    String connStr = _theUrl + "; interface = wifi. "
    s = (connStr) Connector.open (StreamConnection);
    HttpConnection httpConn s = (HttpConnection);
    InputStream input = s.openInputStream ();

There is no error reported, even though I capture all the exceptions of open(). But the stream returned is always empty!

    Thanks again.

    Just an update:

The problem took over the redirect. It was a subject, I admit, I was quite familiar with. So, once read on responses from http status, the solution was easy. Also is it possible to simply use the wifi connection for http connections in the code. The build in the browser is another story and it depends on how the connection preferences are managed internally by the os and carrier I suppose, but lance in the code browser works very well, with just wifi traffic.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Wifi connection not - could not associate with network

Just upgraded to a Pearl to curve and al suddenly feel this seemingly common problem.

Sorry if this is a new topic on an old topic but I'm at the end of my home trying to find a solution.

To this day, I have tried

    Manual installation

    Static IP address

    Restoration of phone

    Removing the battery

    Remove the SIM card

    Restoration of router

So, today and only for purposes of research went to McDonald's for lunch and I tried their WiFi (had a quarter of a book with cheese with sprite for those interested) and just like back home, connects first time then drops then "impossible to associate with the network.

I'm on Orange with unlimited internet Blackberry to add on and everything worked fine with my Pearl.

Tried tech Orange, but good... .the less said the better there.

Any assistance received with gratitude and you will deal with a McD if you sort the problem for me

    Frédérique

    Sorted.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 9300 - how to prioritize between the Wifi connection and the carrier?

Hi all, I have a question... How do we place on our BB unit to plug into a wireless network from first (if available) to browse and not them connected to the internet all the stuff instead of using our carrier, then at home or at work?

There are no parameters for this on most devices, the WiFi connection will ALWAYS be priority for communication of data via the connection to the mobile network.

Some rare machines with capacities AMU have an Option to set this priority. UMA is a service of only a few mobile providers like Tmobile.
