WiFi external antenna

Is it possible to connect an antenna external wifi to my computer hp laptop dv5 1110ee.

Thanks in advance

Or, without having to speak Polish:

Your wireless adapter is internal.

In order to have an antenna that there must be something that you can connect to an antenna protruding.

You can buy a new wireless card that fits your ExpressCard with an external antenna location.

You can also cut a hole in the bottom of your laptop and attach a cable from the antenna of your wireless card and run it to an outdoor antenna.

Or you could buy a USB adapter wireless with an antenna.

  • Placement of external antennas SRI 1941 WIFI-AP

    Hello!

We have 1941 SRI with builtin WiFi-AP that uses three antennas. I want to cover three floors with this access point using external antennas to separate floors. The left and the right antennas can be used for transmission and reception and community antenna can be used to receive only. I have installed an external antenna (Omni, 8 dB) on the first floor and the second floor. But the quality after it is much worse compared to using only the internal antennas. What I am doing wrong? Is it possible that all these antennas will be parked strict near each other?

    Thank you!

Hmmmm... Nuts.  I hate doing this because people do not like to be told that they bought the wrong things.

Right, here go us.  You have a problem.  You want a controller on the right?  The question is what the 'size' is your controller.  I'm talking about APs how a controller must support, YET.  Y'see the smaller controller that can fit into a router is the NME-WLC.  Now the problem is, is that this module is NOT supported on a 1900 chassis.

So let's rewind back and start from the base.  Now you have a 3 story building and want Wireless 'wall '.  You are right that you need a controller.  I won't recommend WLC 2504 controller but I highly recommend the 5508.  As you know the controller can support 12, 25, 50, 100, 250 or 500 APs.  All what you need to do is, for example, pay for 12 APs support (excluding the AP, of course) and if you need more supprted APs (like 50) then it's as simple as a license update.

Then, what model of AP.  You have the choice: 1040 if you want 2 x 2 MIMO 802.11n, 1140 if you want MIMO 2 x 3 & 802.11n, 3500 is you want CleanAir.  Your choice.

  • The Pavilion Elite HPE475 need an external antenna to a wireless connection?

I just bought this machine and have had problems with a poor quality since the wireless signal. HP technical team came up with all sorts of different explanations, and I even had to send for the "repair" because one of them think that the wireless card was defective. The last time it's because he needs an antenna.

Can someone confirm if this machine wireless card requires an antenna to be connected to the two screws Golden at the back of the computer? What is the answer, or just another diversion?

I was not sent an antenna with the computer, it may be a mistake the part of HP. I can connect to the internet, but usually get that two bars on the signal, while my old computer has always had five bars, as do other computers on the network. The connection keeps dropping out and is extremely slow to load at times.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I suggest that you take a look at what came in the box.

The low-profile wireless network card should have with an antenna and two cables with connectors from red and blue to differentiate the connection to the wireless card.

The service center may be assuming that you already know that... All the wireless cards that come with desktop computers have a connected external antenna with cable to the wireless card.

This image is an example. Some cards equipped with antennas that screw directly on the gold screws. Most 802.11 b/g/n card look like this.

Please report anything that is on the label with bar code on the back of your PC, except the serial number. The HPE475 is not a complete description of a PC.

  • Satellite M50: How change it to fix the external antenna for WLan card

I want to change my M50, so I can join the onboard wireless card external antenna.

Anyone know of any modding guides?

    Hello

    What do you do exactly?
What is name of your Satellite M50 - xxx?

Usually if the notebook is Wlan ready but there is no Wlan installed if it is possible to use a minPCI wireless network card.
So if you want to install the Wlan card and attach it to the antenna, you must connect the cables.
A white cable normally goes to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

  • Pavilion a6700y: connection for external antenna

I managed to disconnect the external antenna adapter cable wireless when cleaning the computer.

It seems that there may be two possible locations to reconnect the wire (it looks like a big boost on the connector at the end of the antenna) to the adapter.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

There's probably a hand and an outlet to the.

Here is a picture of the map on your PC support page.

Watch orientation and copy what you see here, would be the only suggestion I can offer, or closer to it and terminals can be labeled on the circuit board.

With a single antenna, you want to connect to the main terminal.

  • Where can I find external antennas for the extreme UFO from the airport

Where can I find an external antenna for my extreme model of the A1034 (UFO) airport?

You can check with the support of Quickertek , since they used to provide an option for the A1034 AirPort Extreme antenna upgrade. Maybe they might have even a few shares left, even if the product is not on their current site.

    http://www.QuickerTek.com/

If you have a Radio Shack or Fry near your House, take the AirPort Extreme to see if you can find an antenna with a connector that will come into contact with the connector on the AirPort Extreme. Any small, simple antenna will do, the trick is to find one with a connector that fits the AirPort Extreme.

  • Need for an external antenna for desktop - what to buy

My mom just got a new HP desktop.  She lives next door to my sister who has/wireless router.  In the configuration of his computer, the photo shows an external antenna cable that plugs in the back of the tower.  However, in the store, they have a variety of USB things that sound like they do the same work.  His house is about 500 feet of my sisters.  What is the best, most economical solution.  Be precise because clearly I'm not tech savvy.

I think you're at the limit of the standard Wi - Fi if you want to connect to a PC that is inside a House to a wireless router that is in another House of 500 feet away.

If there is a line-of-view between the two houses, then you can consider adding a pair of outdoor access points.  I have a set of an older version of these products, and they work very well for me:

  • Can WRT54g2 use an external antenna

  • CAN I turn stop wireless to router but always send signals to an external antenna via the port?

Can I stop/start of my Wired main WRT54G wireless and always send the signal through a WAP browser & directional external antenna plugged into the hub?

How to allow only my own devices to use my bandwidth?

Using WPA password on WRT hub.

Drive Blu - Ray and AT & T Microcell Tower allow other titles-WPA2...?

Can I block the antenna attached to the main hub of sought but allow the port to send signals at access point?

Shields of aluminum foil over the main router antenna would cease its output signal? (if I remove them to allow the occasional portable navigation)

If you want, you can disable the feature on your primary router WRT54G wireless and use WAP to send the wireless signal.

Open the router configuration page and go to the Wireless tab, change the mode of network to people with reduced mobility. Save the settings.

If your wireless network is secure only your wireless computer can connect to the wireless network and use the bandwidth. So, make sure your wireless network secure.

Consult the manual for your Bluray and AT & T Tower and see if they take in charge WPA2.

  • The external antenna (antenna gain value dB) Configuration option

    Hello

Anyone of you can clear a doubt about what antenna gain dB the value (for the configuration of the external antenna)
I have set in the field where the beach is so (-128 to 128) I have a 1242 AP, I use an antenna 1728 (5.2 dBi)

and I would have the maximun WORSE.

    Kind regards

The gain setting it will not change your WORST.  If you have a WLSE, which serves for information purposes.  So to get the most out of your installation, you would set your TX power to 100mW (20dBm).  Maximum E.I.R.P. is your TX in dBm, more your gain of the antenna less connectors, cables and or lightning protection.

  • Buysing external antenna is required for AIR-AP1230A & B?

I just went through the check tool configuration for a Cisco Aironet AP1230A-A-K9 and then for an AP1230B-A-K9. Two checked the config like OK, but had a warning on the antennas of wireless products. I hope that this means that an antenna is optional, but if I buy a dish, the only supported are those listed here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/warp/customer/779/smbiz/wireless/approvals.html

Is that correct or is buying an external antenna for both mandatory for them to be operational?

    Thank you!

Take a look at this link: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/witc/ao1200ap/prodlit/2356_pp.htm

  • WAP 200 with external antenna

    Hello

    I connected an external 12dBi omnidirectional antenna for networks 2 .4GHz (TL-ANT2412D) with LMR-400 cable, 5 M

but my antenna "emit" nothing, I have no signal. With the two antennas supplied with WAP200 I signal but does cover all of the desired area.

Could you tell me what setting to change?

    Thank you.

Hi, my name is Eric Moyers. I am a network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Please use the Forums to Post community of Cisco.

The WAP200 is 1 X 2 MIMO, which means that it transmits on an antenna and receives two.

    (1) we do not support the 3 antennas of the party.

    (2) I would try attaching the antenna 3rd in Group at the other station.

I know that customers who have had success by adding 3 antennas of the party, but there are no promises.

  • External antenna for N series 1252

    Hi all

Can you be it someone please let me know which externally mounted antenna is the right piece to use with an AIR-AP1252 N-Series (6dBm gain or more, its to cover a level playing field)

I scoured the Cisco web site for days to find a definitive answer and confuse me.

Ideally it should cover both radio bands, but if it does only 2.4 Ghz, I'll settle for this that my life is ticking.

Any idea on the wall mounts too.

    Any help appreciated

    Regards Tony

Don't forget that you can use any antenna 2.4 GHz on the 1252. Some antennas have three cables for convenience, but in reality, there are three individual antennas inside the envelope. You can achieve the same effect by buying the same kind of antenna and so that they know the 1252.

The AIR-ANT2506 is a good outdoor antenna and would be perfect for use with customers so it is installed close to the ground. Omnidirectional antennas are quite misleading in their operation - in fact, they form a donut type cover that gets 'crushed' gain is increased. A 5.2dBm is not too bad, but if you install it too high then the signal will go right over the heads of users. I guess I forget all that to say that you should not install it on a 20-foot rooftop pole. :)

To take full advantage of 802.11n, you will need three antennas. Otherwise, one or two would suffice very well if you are in an environment of 802.11 g.
