WiFi is frequently disconnected

Hello Sir,

I have a new laptop hp 15 r007tx with windows 8.1 pro x 64. Now I am facing a problem with the wifi. I installed the drivers, but it keeps disconneting frequently. (sometimes work very well)

Please help me,

Hi Masdrops,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are experiencing some intermittent problems wireless. I'm happy to help you with this.

Please see the following pages, because they are useful for troubleshooting wireless connectivity problems.
Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8)
Universal solution WLAN, Wireless and Wi - Fi errors

In addition, you can watch the the power management of your wireless adapter:

Turn off the power to the adapter:

1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)

2. expand the network adapters.

3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.

4. click on the power management tab.

5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

6. click on OK.

7 test cycle.

Other things that could have an effect. If your router is too close to your computer, it can be as bad as if it is too far and can cause connection problems. Generally, you want to have a minimum of three feet of any other wireless device.

Another possibility might be that you are having problems interference to other nearby wireless networks on the same broadcast channels. To do this, you must set the channel on your router.  For this you must consult the documentation of your wireless router and adjust if necessary. Ideally, you want to have your router wireless transmitting about 5 channels far from other nearby wireless networks. If you need help with this, I would contact your router manufacturer or internet service provider.

Let me know if this can help, or if you need additional assistance.

Kind regards

  • Satellite S50-B-15N-Wi-Fi frequent disconnections / BSOD

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite S50-B-15N who suffers frequent disconnections in my home Wi-Fi.

I updated my drivers intel for the latest on the site of intel, but the problem persists.

The other day I got a BSOD and it came with this (NETwbw02.sys) DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Error info. After a little research, there seems to be a conflict any with the access point (router) in my house.

I also suffer from BSOD on the incidents of the core power.

Anyone have any suggestions on any of these questions?

The NETwbw02.sys file seems to belong to the Intel WiFi driver package.
But usually the Intel driver shouldn't cause big problems... but it might be possible that a different 3rd party software that is installed on the laptop is not working properly under driver Intel...
So I guess that the notice posted by Liam should help you to solve this...

  • Frequent disconnects on 1 device (several times per hour)

    Hello

I bought the Amazon N300/WNR2020v2, a month ago. Is the latest firmware (V1.1.0.32_1.0.1). I can't remember if it ever worked right, but I get frequently disconnects. And by frequent I mean several times per hour (up to 10, 20, 30 times per hour). Sometimes my connection will last 30 minutes, sometimes 2 min. I'm a developer and I work from home, so it became completely unworkable. I absolutely can't do anything more than a few minutes without disconnecting.

    Things, I tried, without success:

    -Changing the channel

    -Reduce the MTU 1420

    -Various DNS (8.8.8.8..),

    -Change of speeds 54/150/300

When the connection drops, it is not just my internet connection, I cannot ping the router either (so I have no internet and no local network).

I had another router before, and everything worked just fine (ASUS WL-330gE). Unfortunately, I lost it, so I can't come back.

I must also say that I have a good amount of connected devices (maybe 10), but you know, it's just modern life (printers, computers, phones, dropcams,...).

Advice? I can't work essentially. It's very frustrating.

In fact, I talked to my wife after the announcement, and she said that she does not know the question. I tried to leave her computer open watching the Dropcam next to me (if I have something that uses the connection permanently and I can easily monitor), and that she feels no drop, which means that the issue could in fact be my computer (which is weird, because it works very well at work).

    Came across this:
    http://Apple.StackExchange.com/questions/235739/constantly-dropping-Internet-on-El-Capitan/248228

And it seems that this can be fixed:

    sudo ifconfig down awdl0

I will update in a bit to see if it really fixed. I've seen the issue on my phone too, so I'm not sure that this, it is 100%. We'll see.

  • Frequent disconnections of WLan on satellite M40X-230

My laptop undergoes frequent disconnects on the internet and it becomes very annoying. Situation is that the laptop connects wireless to the Internet via a Belkin router. The router works well, and I use Aol for the ISP.
Our second laptop, also a Toshiba but a satellite A30-203 does not suffer from problems despite using the same router.

Two laptops have SP2 and the M40 is centrino mobile while the satellite has a card (also Belkin) wireless adapter.

If I look at the connection speed, it varies between 54 Mbit/s and 1 MB/s and said that the signal strength is excellent regardless of speed. This means that the problem lies in the laptop or its parameters, or must he chipset drivers upgrade?

Any help would be appreciated as the slow performance especially when loading pages on the net makes me stupid.

    Hello

You should know that there are different standards of WLan that supports of different properties.
The standards are 802.11 A, B or G. Currently, the standard 802.11 G wireless supports the fastest connection.
The best combination is the using the router and wireless network adapter that supports the same standard.

You suggested that the A30 Satellite using the Belkin WLan adapter. I guess it has better compatibility between router Belkin and Belkin WLan card. As a result, you will get the best performance.

However, on your satellite, you must check the WLan card properties. There you should find a few options that could increase performance card and connectivity.
Important: Energy saving Option should be disabled in the properties of the map. Try also to set the WLan range at the highest level.

In addition it s advisable to check the WLan card driver updates. If you use a map control WLan Intel the Intel page for updates.

  • Frequent disconnects between cRIO-9024 and host computer

    Hi all

I had a brand new cRiO OR 9024 and several modules of recording data a few days ago. I have setup the IP address for the cRIO which is 10.0.0.2 and the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0, which is the same with what I've done for the host (different IP address). I installed the software that I need on the controller RT. Throughout the process, I have disabled the firewall. I use MAX 5.0 and NEITHER cRIO 4.0. Two of them are the latest version. I built the link between the cRIO and my computer successfully. However, the target is always disconnected from the host computer, even if I do not have action on the cRIO, that is. Without running any software on it. Status of the disconnection is achieved since the MAX, but surprisingly, I can ping through the IP address of the cRIO. It seems to me that the connection between the host computer and the cRIO was established.

I tried to run code on the target, but unfortunately, the disconnection also occurs frequently simple. I checked the CPU target and the use of memory, which are low. So I concluded that the disconnection is not generated by the high utilization of the processor or memory.

I also tried to reformat the cRIO and reinstall all software, but it has no effect.

I also found that a warning appears regularly on MAX interface that "there was a problem to retrieve the settings of the target. For more information, go to ni.com/frinfo and enter the Info Code MAXServerUnkownError. If the problem persists, contact National Instruments'. I checked MAXServerUnkownError of

NI.com and followed the instructions to make sure that there is no bad configuration on my computer as a firewall etc. However, without doing wrong was found.

Can someone help me figure out what is the problem?

    Concerning

    Japanese

    Hello Japanese,

Thank you for answering my questions. I have more questions that should lead to a solution to your problems:

1 is the add-on NO-time installed on the cRIO?

    2. are you able to disable the antivirus on your computer?

The add-on NO-time turns out to cause frequent disconnects with cRIOs in LabVIEW 2011. To view the add-on, you will need to right click on software under the cRIO, select Add/Remove Programsand select the option custom software installation . If it is installed, I recommend to remove this add-on the cRIO to help solve disconnects.

Please let me know if disconnects continue after removing NO-time and disabling the antivirus.

    Kind regards

  • SSL VPN Portal Page - frequent disconnects

    Hi all

I've implemented two firewalls to two DCs - London and Swindon. Now, I'm traffic to these two firewalls by using a URL to load balancing. When users try to connect to the URL (which indeed resolves to the IP address of the two firewalls Internet oriented interface), they faced frequent disconnects. The portal will be open for a few minutes, and as they are by clicking on the bookmarks on the page they get automatically disconnected. It is completely random and there is no model it.

    However, I wrote the following:

1 if I clear my cache and Temp files and then try to access to the portal by using the URL, it works fine for a little longer (maybe 15-20 minutes) and then the same disconnect start all over again

    2. If I try to access all the IP addresses of the firewall (do not use Uruguay Round), it seems to work fine.

Can someone let me know what could be causing the problem?

    Thank you!

    Hey riri,.

You can check the activation of the ASA connects and debugs, a 'see the connection' and ' debug webvpn 255 "will be useful to check if the SAA is disconnect the session.»

Alternative, you can run wireshark on a computer and make sure the IP reset is coming,

    See you soon,.

Hi, I brought K3 note recently for sale online. When you are using Bluetooth connected with my Sony music system, it disconnects frequently. It is very irritating me. I can't able to listen to the songs in my music system. Please help me solve this problem.

  • WiFi constantly drops / disconnects

Hello, I use an Inspiron 3541 Windows 8.1

My problem is that my wifi keeps disconnecting at different intervals. Sometimes, he would spend every few minutes and sometimes once per hour at least. Also, when wifi is, google chrome does and it freezes, or sometimes the chrome becomes black. Sometimes wifi disconnects and gets the yellow exclamation point, but generally the bars just drag as shown in the picture.

Here is a picture of ipconfig/all to see if I'm doing something wrong:

Now, here are the solutions I've tried:

    1. I unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in power management.

2 I turned on maximum performance in saving mode in the adapter settings wireless settings of my energy battery.

    3. I tried netsh winsock reset in the prompt (Administrator) command

    4. I tried enabling DHCP

Frankly, before finding the solution, I don't know yet what the problem and I hope someone can point out what is wrong. I will gladly give information if necessary. Thank you.

    Hello

The system does this by ethernet as well? Nevertheless, here are a few steps to try in this thread (especially the 2 method): http://dell.to/2e4syDR

I've not seen service WLAN cause this problem directly, but it is worth it. Unfortunately, with all the steps you tried it sounds like maybe this is a bad card. Still one thing to try again would be completely remove the drivers for the wireless card and reinstall, you can also try the online Dell Diagnostics (pilot and diags) can be found here by entering your serial number: http://dell.to/2e4rGPF

    I hope this helps.

  • Remote Desktop - frequent disconnects

I like the app Remote Desktop Metro (I know... This isn't subway... but I don't know what to call it).

It is very nice to have full screen and be able to quickly switch between sessions... or aligned on the side and see all my sessions of small windows.  Very shiny.  I use it frequently to keep up to 10 persistent connections open.

However, if I bring another Metro (?) app to the front, often when I return to Remote Desktop, it re - initializes and I lost all of my connections, forcing me to reconnect.  It's pretty disturbing for my workflow to have to go at random through all my server sessions, and then reconnecting them.

Any thoughts on what could be causing disconnects and how to prevent them?

While searching for options, I found the "Remote Desktop Connection Manager" which is available for download here:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=21101

An overview of the tool is available here:

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/Exchange/archive/2010/06/11/3410093.aspx

So far, it seems to do a great job to manage multiple sessions of server.  I like that you can organize them in a tree hierarchy and connect/disconnect of entire groups of servers at a time.  The thumbnail views are available for each connected desktop computer.  Best of all, you can specify your credentials only once by placing at the top of the tree, and all what below it will inherit your credentials.

It is a better option than the remote desktop connection tool or the Remote Desktop Windows app.

  • L870 satellite - WiFi falls frequently

    Hi all

I read the same question here already, but the user were satisfied with an answer and I'm not.
I have the L870 satellite and wireless lan drops back very often. In most cases when I'm working on the battery. I have to disable and enable the power adapter two times to make it work again. I don't have a setting that turns off wifi when the battery is under a certain percentage. I just want the wifi works all the time, especially when I'm not on the cable but the mobile work.

The manufacturer of the module wlan Atheros, OS is Win 8. Someone has an idea of what can be done?

    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Martin

    > In most cases when I'm working on the battery.

You must disable the adapter wireless to save energy.
You must make this change in the power profile that is used if the laptop is running on battery power.

Also, you should go to Device Manager-> properties-> tab power management WLan card.
Here, you must deselect the option that allows the system to disable the network WiFi in order to save power.

  • WiFi falls frequently, must turn off wifi to the computer, then turn on

    Greetings,

I have four Macs, all the different models and with different OS, with El Capitan and this happens on all. I have an Airport Extreme router, aged about 1 1/2 years. Throughout the day, wifi doesn't work. To get to resume, I have to go into menu wifi on the computer, turn off wifi, then turn it back on. This example gets going again.

I tried using automatic channels as well as various specific channels on our Airport Extreme. I also have 5 GHz and 2.4 normally. I, of course, restarted a gazillion times (this has happened for about a year). I still have to find a solution.

    Suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Amy

It is possible that you have a faulty AirPort base station, the other thing to ask is: do you live in a place with a lot of other Wi-Fis operating? As an apartment or condo complex... or a dorm student perhaps? Connectivity spotty Wi - Fi is usually associated with some sort of interference of a Wi-Fi connection. Other Wi-Fis in the close vicinity would be a major culprit.

  • Satellite A500 - 17 X frequently disconnect the router wireless - weird

Had this problem since I bought the laptop about a month ago. It connects very well to our wireless (full signal, speeds), but sporadically disconnects for no apparent reason. When I try to reconnect, the signal passes of five (full) bars up to three bars and it won't let me log in again, no matter what I try. When I click on it it loads just for a while and then said it was impossible to establish a connection. Troubleshooting / repair does nothing. The only way to fix it is to pull the power on the router and then plug it in again, resetting the connection.

It seems that this is a problem with the router, but I have tried in other houses and it does exactly the same thing on the connections of others. Other devices are still able to use the connection after mine died. My laptop and install broadband (Virgin Media) are only one month.

I tried to install the WLAN drivers on the toshiba site, but it changed nothing.

Someone can think all possible solutions before you give up and take it back to the shop?

    See you soon.

You have successfully updated the WLan driver?
I guess you used this Toshiba WLan portal page to download driver:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Here's the latest drivers.

I recommend updating the BIOS as well.

  • Windows Server 2008 Standard: Several concerns: update group policy inconsistent on client PC, frequent disconnections of readers of card and the remote connection

Hi This is my first time to ask a question here, in this community.

I'm a sysadmin here at my job and we have some problems on some servers that we are dealing with. Network in our office is stable and we have determined that this is not a problem on the connection.

    • First number - one of our domain controller constantly falls on our directory server and saying that it is not available.
    • Second edition - unable to ping hostname but IP address works very well. (Sometimes the host name is ok, but very intermittent)
    • Third question - connection is unstable card readers causes disconnect

If anyone can provide any assistance in this respect, it would be a great help.

  • Frequent disconnects WRT400N and now even not visible connection

We bought this router in search of speed and the ability to have 2.4 and 5gh at the same time. Have 5 connected laptops but only 2-3, used both. 2 dell, 1 Toshiba and vaio 1. Once I installed, it took an hour to get the internet to be recognized and wireless to work. Since then, every time I put the computer to sleep or shut down the internet disconnects. Reconnection is usually fast, maybe 5-10 seconds. However yesterday we began to experience the internet connection drops all together and the connection/router being even unrecognized option Wireless in the section network and sharing Windows 7. I've never seen where you can't even click on the link to diagnose etc. This morning there was still no connectivity. I have rebooted the modem DSL (Brighthouse Cable), rebooted and rest the router of many times. Internet could show back for a few seconds and then slide again. I am two seconds away from return this puppy as this was only a few days since we got it. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Connect to your router configuration page and below change the MTU to 1350 and click on save settings, then under the wireless tab, change the channel to 1 or 11 wireless and click on save settings. Now again try to connect to your wireless network.
